2 Page 2 What are your likes and dislikes? Likes: I love reading, shopping and spending time with close friends. Dislikes: I don t like spiders or being late. What do you like most about your work? I love being able to support and help people everyday. I truly enjoy using my creative skills and coming up with new ideas. What do you dislike the most about your work? The hours of work and not getting to sleep in every day. If you were trapped on a desert island what three things would you want with you? Obviously I would need my phone, lots of water and an umbrella or sun glasses because im not a fan of the sun. Favourite film of all time? I can t choose because I love the Twilight and Harry Potter films, but because im a romantic ill have to say The Notebook Who would you most like to meet and why? I would love to meet Robert Pattinson from Twilight because I think he is an amazing actor. The Avengers Assemble was released in April 2012 with a certificate of 12A. Directed by Joss Whedon, it starred noted actors including Robert Downey Junior (of Sherlock Holms ) and Scarlett Johansson. The Avengers plot is of Thor and his superhero Loki who are hell bent on destroying earth but the Avengers assemble to try and put a stop to his evil antics. It is a very entertaining but lengthy movie (142 minutes) and it is suitable for younger viewers (certificate 12A). Avengers Assemble is a big budget film with special effects and viewers to the Strand Multiplex will not be disappointed. I brought my own sweats as it is expensive in the

3 Page 3 Some of Praxis tenants and staff enjoyed a day out on the Karting track at Campsie in March. I think I seen a few wee competitive streaks come out on the day. (yes, you know who you are!!!) I was also very impressed with some of the driving skills around that track and pretty quick laps as well. Everyone enjoyed the Karting so much they were asking to go again towards the end Campsie Karting Tel: Here is Gavin on the left, speeding round the track. 4 Page 4 A WELCOME TO SPRING It s Spring when mother natures hand Creates new life across the land. The temperature begins to rise Dark clouds give way to clear blue skies. April showers as we know Provide the means to help things grow. Golden daffodils appear A welcome sign that spring is here. Fresh leafs adorn the barren tree While spring lambs skip and jump with glee. The songbirds sing their own sweet song A host of wildlife joins the throng. Derek Friars will embark on an adventure north and south of Ireland to raise money for Praxis Care.

How do you feel about this challenge? I feel nervous at the minute although I am really excited!! How much money do you plan to raise for Praxis Care?

5 Page 5 THIS AUGUST, 3 PRAXIS STAFF MEMBERS FROM ROCKMILLS WILL TAKE ON THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE OF THEIR LIVES. TWO PEAKS! TWO DAYS! they will travel to Co Kerry, to begin the climb of Northern Irelands highest peak Slieve Donard (below) August 25th and 26th Caroline Morewood, Gemma Thompson and Derek Friars will embark on an adventure north and south of Ireland to raise money for Praxis Care. The adventure will begin on Saturday 25th August in Newcastle, Co Down where And climb Irelands highest mountain Carrantuohill (below) 3414 ft metres high ft meters high. (phew!) They can Talk the Talk but can they Walk the Walk This will be finished of with a well deserved MEET THE WALKERS: Why have you decided to take on this challenge? Caroline Morewood To raise money for Praxis Care and also to raise the profile of the organisation. Have you started training yet? And how often do you train? Yes I have started some training. A few times a week, however I plan to do some hill walking before the big challenge in August. How do you feel about this challenge? I feel nervous at the minute although I am really excited!! How much money do you plan to raise for Praxis Care? And how are you planning to raise it? I need to raise 495 although I will try to raise more by holding fundraising events. Gemma Thompson Are you confident about your challenge? Derek Friars Yes! (I think). At the minute I m confident although that could change when I m at the bottom, looking up! What training are you doing to prepare for this challenge? I m exercising (trying to!) each morning and I would jog regularly in the evening.
