Only students who are characters in the scenes listed need to attend that day. Check the chart listed after the calendar to see which scenes you are in. If you are playing more than one character, make sure you check which scenes each of your characters is in. If the calendar says, everyone is expected to attend. A NOTE ABOUT SCENE WORK: Most of the cast is onstage for the entire show, but we don t need everyone at rehearsal every day. On days that specific scenes are listed for rehearsal, if you are a chorus member but not an active character in that scene, you don t need to come to rehearsal. You are welcome to come and do your chorus part, but you are not required to be here unless you are an active character in that scene. For example, if we are working on scene 10, and you don t have a character line and you are not involved in the action with the Lotus Eaters, you don t have to attend rehearsal.

When we get closer to tech week, Mrs. Hoyer will let the props and costume crews know how many of them need to be on the running crew. Other jobs, such as set construction and set painting/decoration happen before the show is performed. Those crew members are expected to serve as ushers at each performance. They may then watch the performances at no charge. They should wear their show t-shirts as their admission ticket. The job of usher takes place only at the evening performances. Ushers should wear nice pants and their show t-shirt and arrive at school by 6:15 on show nights to begin their job.
