President Dave Andersen president@azlegion91alr.org THWR (That s How We Roll) Welcome New & Transferring A.L.R. Members: Theresa Vodika I thought I would start out talking about all of the good that happens within the Post and the ALR. There is so much we do to care for others within our post and outside the post it makes a person feel a sense of pride. What a great group of members we have that contribute to our causes! As an example, one of our riders broke down on the East side of the State, over 3 hours away. There was no hesitation in one of our members hauling a trailer to Duncan AZ to pick up a stranded Brother. I tagged along and although we got home late that night, we knew the mission was accomplished and our friend and fellow rider was home safe. Thanks Bill Pless for rescuing Ernie! We also helped our friend and Brother Curtis Sherwood move from San Tan Valley to Gilbert, much closer to his friends and fellow Legion members. I want to personally thank the following members who assisted in Curtis s move; Leo and Tina Gabryelski, Chuck and Sharon Chapman, Theresa Vodika, Stitch and Gina Soutiere,Bill and Cathy Pless, Ron Cook, Terry Schroeder and Melynda Smith, Scott and Tina Hurler, Donna Andrews and Ernie Ponicki. Without your help the move would have been much longer than 1 day! We want to encourage everyone to call Curtis and go and see him, he loves the company and is only a few minutes away now! The Weather is getting cooler so the ALR Riders will be out in force now, it seems as though we have rides almost every weekend coming up. Some of the dates to keep in mind are Oct 6 th, which is District 12 ALR Poker Run Sponsored by Post 117 with (continued on page4)
