Over the next several weeks you will begin to see the famous green trash cans around the club house. Please deposit the correct items into these cans in an effort to help us with the recycling initiative. Bottles, cans, paper products, and card board products! Member Statements are once again viewable via the web site. Once logged onto the site go to On Line Services then On Line Member Statements. Please join me in welcoming Denny Hamilton & Tom Philibotte to the club! Denny joins us via the Four Seasons Membership Program and Tom via the HOA membership Program. We are excited to have both of you as part of the Hartefeld National family and look forward to seeing you out on the course and in the club house very soon. 3 Wednesday Night Oct. 14th Open House with Bill Brown In the Golf Course Maintenance Shop! 5:30-7:30pm Ever wonder what the Maintenance Shop looks like? Ever wonder how the staff works the equipment and what each piece does? Would you like to learn more about how the course is maintained? Now is your chance to learn how the entire process comes together and maybe even ride a mower! Please park on Porthcawl around the cul-de-sac or on the street then you can walk down the hill to the shop. As part of the event Bill Brown will be posting Golf Course Maintenance questions on his blog between now and the event. The person or group of people with the most correct answers will win a prize. Miller Lite Cans and Buffalo Meatballs will be provided. Trivia question number 4 has been posted today. Hopefully everyone has been keeping up

WITH OR MORE YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ABLE TO FIND A GAME DURING THE WEEK Joseph Carucci jacarucci@comcast.net Meet the Hartefeld Pro Days: (Still taking sign ups) Attention all beginner golfers if you would like to have the opportunity to learn the basics in a group setting (group golf lesson) grip, stance, some rules etc we will be hosting one last complimentary event on Saturday October 3 rd (sign up no later than Oct. 1st Bob Munkittrick) from 12-1pm. Bob, Jim, and John Burke will conduct the lessons. Please call the golf shop to reserve your space. Beginner Play Opportunity: In conjunction with the above lessons, we will offer those that attend the Meet the Hartefeld Pro Days an opportunity to get out on the course. Saturday Oct. 10 th 3pm will we offer 3 to 4 holes 1,2,3 & possibly 6 where we will block off 4-5 tee

7 times behind the group so they do not feel rushed or intimidated. Group Lesson Program: Bob Munkittrick and the Golf shop would like to introduce a group lesson program for all members. Whether you are a beginner just starting, an intermediate looking for some pointers, or advanced golfer looking for some fine tuning this is you opportunity to take some lessons and have some fun. Program is set up for 3 or more members, 1 hour a week, for four weeks. Custom schedules are based on your availability. The cost is $150 per person. Please call Bob Munkittrick at ext 1020 to schedule your group today! Golf Course Update: We still have 9 lockers left if anyone is interested. Please contact me if you want to reserve one for the 2010 season. Ladies Open Play Tee times are set aside for the ladies only Wednesdays, now at 9:00 am (please note the time change), and again on. Additionally, the ladies are formatting these days to add a little spice to the round. All formats will be voluntary and will be discussed prior to the round. It is important that everyone arrive at least 30 minutes before to the first tee-time, and do not start early, for coordination and planning purposes. As a reminder most ladies playing in the open days gather at the Pub for a little food, beverage, and conversation after the round. So ladies if you would like to meet more members this is a perfect opportunity to do so. Hopefully this will encourage more women to come out and play together (including those who are working ).
