1 Presenting our 2016 Spotlight Sale Consignment- Purebred LaMancha doe, born 5/19/16 TEMPO KAROLYTA You can t make me do it! No way, I m outta here. Wait, is that a nipple??? Aren t I a pretty girl! We happened to have a professional nature photographer as a guest here the afternoon we needed to take consignment photos. John (husband) quickly offered him the job. I explained that taking photos of Spotlight kids was known to cause marital distress. David (photographer) shrugged, what could be so hard about photographing a cute baby goat? 20 minutes later, when said cute baby goat had still eluded the perfect pose, he was beginning to get the idea! Thanks to David Best for his efforts in a totally unknown field, and for being a good sport about it. And if you want to see what a great photographer he really is, check out the book, What Would John Muir Say from David s website,

Long, tall and powerful, Karenina is easily as big as most of our Saanens. As big as she is, she s still clean and feminine, and very dairy. She moves with such grace and elegance she is a joy to watch in the field, and is a commanding presence in the showring. With good production and components, she is a valued doe in the milk room as well. Her two daughters from 2016 are her first doe kids, we will be keeping Karolyta s sister, Karenita. Just for something different, we thought we would bring back a young doe from the past. Alissa was one of Evianna s s first daughters, maternal sister to Karenina. She is pictured on appraisal day as a 2 yr old, fresh for 14 months. We had high hopes for her, but unfortunately lost her to acute colic shortly after this photo was taken. SG TEMPO ALISSA 10*M E+EV (stale) ext

Evianna does it all, milk, show, and appraisal, and has some outstanding progeny too. At four National shows over a 6 year career, she was never lower than Reserve! With her production and show wins, she has won more than any other LaMancha doe at the National shows. Evianna has also won District Specialties in both OR (D7) and CA (D8), as well as the prestigious Puyallup Fair in WA. With such an illustrious show career, it is easy to forget Evianna is also a Top Ten doe!. Tach Lach 1 st place Sr Get, 12 Nationals Evianna, 12 Nationals How much longer???
