Thank you Mr Gerhard Ferreira who facilitated this for us. Venue: Centurion Gymnastics Club Training schedule: 1 December 2 December 3 December Coaches meeting: 9h00-9h30 8h00-8h30 8h30-9h00 Squad A Squad B Squad A Squad B Squad A & B 14h00-18h00 9h30-13h30 8h30-12h30 13h00-18h00 9h00-13h00 Camp entry fee: R200 per gymnast payable to your district who will pay SAGF. Gymnasts and coaches must register online. NOTES: a. All gymnasts who have achieved the CG selection criteria in the past 18 months at FIG internationals, must prove on fitness on at least the apparatus that they qualified to be included in the WAG PM motivation to SASCOC. b. All squad gymnasts even if they are injured, should attend all 3 days of the camp. c. As with the December 2016 camp, apparatus specialists have been assigned to each apparatus with one assistant coach. JUDGES: Please can the available judges(level 4 & Brevet) let Ilse know if you will be attending, to assist from a judges point of view. 2. TRIALS 13 & 14 JULY 2018 Venue: Matsport Centre Times: TBC This event will be a trial for the following events: a. World Championships (2002 & older) Up to 5 girls can be selected. b. Olympic Hopes (2005, 2004, 2003 s) Up to 6 girls can be selected. c. Top Gym (2005, 2004, 2003 s) d. Serbia (2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002 s) The Detailed Criteria Document will follow before the end of The age groups above is an indication only and may be subject to change, although we do not foresee this happening. We are awaiting directives for the various events, and only after these are received can we and final criteria. 3. NATIONAL CAMP JULY 2018 The National camp from July 2018, after the trials will be held for all our 2007 & older Squad Gymnasts born gymnasts who competed in Class 2 or Class 3 or in level 6 10/u OR level 7 12/u in 2017, at the Gym Games or HP Nationals are eligible for this camp too. These girls are our Youth Olympic Games highlighted gymnasts for 2022, so have been included slightly earlier. This camp will be in the government school holidays and is compulsory for all selected squad members born 2007 & older. Injured gymnasts still have to attend the camp. 4 4. TRIALS ADJUSTED REGULATONS For all trial events the following rules are permitted: Vault: An extra 10cm landing mat is permitted & fat mats during warm up is permitted. To encourage vault development, gymnasts may perform a second salto vault, providing it is different from VT 1(it does not have to be from a different group) The highest vault score will count for trials. Bar: An extra 10-15cm mat is permitted for releases & and/ a C or higher dismount. If a gymnast does not perform at least a C dismount, the 10cm landing mat is not permitted. Beam: An extra 10cm landing mat is permitted for a C or higher Dismount. Floor: A 10cm landing mat is permitted for all D or higher tumbles. 5. CLASSES & OE CHANGES TO BE IMPLEMENTED FROM 2018 The classes changes for 2018 are as follows: Class 0 To remain as is Class 1 6-7yrs: VT: Handspring vault onto back 80cm( no 60cm option) BAR: Remains as is BEAM: Stretch jump on beam to land on two feet FLR: Replace the dive roll with Round off stretch jump, lift leg to min 45 degrees, backward walkover. Class yrs VT: Handspring vault over 80cm fat mats, to land onto feet. BAR: Remains as is BEAM: Stretch jump on beam to land on two feet FLR: Replace the dive roll with Round off stretch jump, lift leg to min 45 degrees, backward walkover. Class 2 both age groups VT: To remain as is BAR: Action swing - kip cast(above horizontal) - hip circle- underswing- swing bwd swing fwd- swing bwd- kip cast (at horizontal) swing ½ turn push off and land. Class 3 sets: To remain as is Class 3 Voluntaries 0.3 for any 2/1 salto DMT 0.3 for any 1/1 turning element in through/in handstand 1.0 for same bar release of D value or higher. Class if a gymnast has 2 or more FIG requirements in the routine 0.8 for same bar release of D value or higher.
