Consumption tax is included in the costs. PAYMENT The club fees will be paid through the vending machine next to the learning lab. The payment period for all students is from April 9th to April 17th. BUS STUDENTS There will be late bus service for those students who usually take the school bus home. Make sure to tick your preferences for the late bus service at the end of the on-line registration. As there are only four late buses, you may need to compromise on the bus stop.? QUESTIONS? 3 MONDAY Sports activities - Morning Futsal (TRISTAN) Students will improve their skills get ready for the games they will be playing against other schools. Grades: G2 ~ G8 Rock Climbing Team (JARED) In the Rock Climbing Club, we will learn and practice how to use the equipment necessary to scale a climbing wall safely. In addition to this, climbers will be learning and developing proper climbing techniques, boosting confidence and building teamwork skills in order to push our limits while having a blast! Grades: G3 ~ G8 (Max 12) Futsal (SETH) The students will be introduced and practice their ball handling skills and start exploring tactical game play. Grades: G3 ~ G5 Cross Country (DAN & GREG) This club gives students the opportunity to develop their speed, stamina and running endurance over a range of distances and terrain.this includes parks and hills near TIS. 4 Swimming (SWIMFRIENDS) This club is for those students who can already swim and would like to further refine their strokes and start to swim faster. Later in the year we will also compete in competitions. Students will be back at school by 17:15-17:30 or can be picked up at the pool at 17:00. Grades: K2 ~ G8 (Max 22) Once a week 21,000 Twice a week 38,000 Cultural activities - Afternoon Cooking Monsters (KAREN) Are you keen to be mum or dad s cooking partner? We hope to get you interested in the food you eat whilst meeting new friends! In this FUN programme, you will get involved in the whole cooking process from reading the recipe to weighing and measuring the ingredients. TIS kitchen is so much fun! Let us make everything from muffins to main meals Grades: K1 ~ G2 20, ,000 (Cooking ingredients and materials cost) Makerspace (MICHAEL G.) Design, create, build, and invent in this club. Project ideas are provided or create whatever you want using wood and woodworking tools. Add movement to your creation using a motor or install lights wired to batteries. Paint your creation and finish it artistically with recycled materials, paper clay, felt or any other objects you can find. You will learn how fun it is to use the tools in the art room and combine different materials imaginatively. Grades: G1 ~ G8 (MAX 14) 20, ,500 (Motors, magnets, batteries, lights, wires, wood pieces, clay, propellers, paint) Experiment Explorers (SARAH) What goes Pop! What goes fizz! What goes bop! A science wizz! Come to Experiment Explorers if you would like to have fun investigating science experiments! Grades: G1 ~ G4 (MAX 12) 20, ,500 (Equipment for science investigations) Spanish for beginners (JORGE) Spanish for beginners is a club aimed at providing an introduction and progression to the Spanish language. As well as fun, Spanish Amigos Club will provide a methodical language program adjusted to the learning ability of different students age and ability through the use of games, music, arts and crafts activities, acting, etc Apart from the Spanish Language students will learn that there is a whole world out there full of traditions, culture and interesting things for them to discover from Spanish Speaking Countries in Latin America. Grades: G2 ~ G5 20,000

5 European Medieval Combat (EVAN) Learn to build and use replicas of Medieval European weaponry in individual and group combat. Think kendo club with more variety of equipment and target areas, and less time spent on footwork. Replica weapons are constructed, with guidance and supervision, from PVC pipe, foam padding, and duct tape. Shields are made from plywood, padding, and bicycle parts. We may learn the basics of making chainmail if there s interest and rain. 20, ,500 (For new participants only to cover materials for weapons/shields. If a student chooses to drop the club in a later term, they may keep any weapons/armor that they constructed.) TIS Sings (BRANDON) We will sing many types of songs, including solos, Youtube favorites, and choir songs. We will also have the possibility to audition for the Kanto Plains Elementary Choral Festival to be held in April as well as singing at the Cherry Blossom Fair! Sign up if you love to sing and if you want to become a better singer! Grades: G2 ~ G8 20, ,000 (Piano Accompanist s fee) Orchestra Practice (JAMISON) The TIS Orchestra after school practice will be offered again during Term 1. There will be two separate days during which this program will be offered: Wednesdays and Fridays for all MYP grade levels during regular program time (3:30-4:30pm). These sessions count towards the full weekly practice requirements for Grade 6, 7, and 8 Orchestra classes (30 minutes, two times per week). During these sessions, your child will have the opportunity to better their playing skills, accomplish the weekly practice requirement, complete orchestra assignments/video assessments, and other related assignments. FREE

6 TUESDAY Sports activities - Morning Netball (FIONA & LISA) This exciting sport is growing more popular each year. If you like to run, throw, catch and shoot for goals, then this is the sport for you. Join our TIS Tigers Netball Team and develop skills in this fun team sport. We will be training to play against other schools, so prepare to find a position that best suits your style and then practice! Grades: G1 ~ G3 20,000 Gymnastic Movement (KOICHI) In Gymnastic Movement club, you will learn some basic gymnastics movements such as hand stands, cartwheel and front and back kick overs. We combine floor and trampoline exercises to make the training fun and challenging. Grades: G4 ~ G8 20,000 HipHop (TNG) TNG is an educational group that provides dance program for young children. We teach our next generation in a fun and exciting way. The program that we are offering is totally different comparing to the traditional teaching style. We T.N.G introduces Dance to children while learning fun steps, freestyle, popular song or other fun dance activities depending on the class. Our teaching method is not just benefiting your child in creativity, but also benefiting them physically and mentally. Grades: K2 ~ G4 31,600

7 WEDNESDAY Sports activities - Morning Basketball (DAN) The focus of the basketball club will be to develop our player s skills and to have lots of game play. We will play games against other schools. Tennis (JINJI TENNIS) Jinji Tennis Centre will start to teach the 5 basic shots : Forehand stroke, Backhand stroke, Volley, Smash & Serve, tennis terms and manner and focus also on running, jumping, fun games for groups & individual. Grades: G4 ~ G8 (MAX 8) 20,000 Sports & Dance activities - Afternoon Futsal (JAMIE) The students will develop their ball handling skills and start exploring tactical game play in preparation for our games in the final term. Grades: K2 ~ G2 Dance Fitness (TOMOMI) Dancing is a great and fun exercise for whole body. This club is for both boys and girls who would like to develop, improve and strengthen their balance and coordination, not to mention their spatial awareness and flexibility through dance and movement activities. Bring your positive energy and dancing feet! Grades: K1 ~ G2 Kids Yoga (DANIELLE BROWN) Yoga is an ancient healing practice known to calm the body, mind and emotions. In this playful yoga class children will learn a flowing sequence of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and relaxation exercises to promote physical strength, flexibility, concentration and a calm mind. Through fun yoga games, partner work, stories and music children will develop tools to manage stress in their daily lives in a non-competitive environment. Yoga mats provided. Grades: K2 ~ G4 21,000 Fit-X (MICHAEL F. & JORGE) - A cross-training fitness club for beginners and developing athletes. - A focus on improving overall strength and conditioning in a fun and positive environment. - Introduce developing athletes to injury prevention training, mental strategies and nutrition. 8 Cultural activities - Afternoon Cooking Italiano! (ANTONIA) A fun, hands-on cooking class exploring and tasting many kind of Italian dishes, prepared by following authentic recipes. Grades: G2 ~ G5 (MAX 10) 20, ,000 (Cooking ingredients) Tip-top Builders (MARTINE) For an astonishing range of construction opportunities, join the Tip-top builders. We will be using a variety of construction toys such as Lego, Mobilo, Duplo, wooden blocks, and more. Also hours of patterning practice and fine-motor development. Looking for just the right piece strengthens sorting skills, a key part of any math curriculum. It is for children of all ages and it also improves creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. Grades: K1 ~ G5 20,000 Loads of Fun with Origami (SAYAKA) Million of things to make by folding paper. Make dinosaurs, animals, flowers, air plains rockets etc. Come and Join! In this class, students that have no basketball skills will learn the basic concepts of teamwork, cooperation and leadership skills as they learn the key fundamentals of basketball. Grades: G2 ~ G4 (Level 1) Tennis (JINJI TENNIS) Jinji Tennis Center is promoting the game of tennis in Tokyo, the main 5 benefits of joining our club at TIS are: learning a life time skill, mental and physical development & making new friends. Tennis is the best sport to have fun! Grades: G1 ~ G3 (MAX 8) 20,000 Taekwondo (MASTER RHEE) Taekwondo can develop and improve one s discipline, self-control and spirit. Grades: G3 ~ G8 28,000 Creative Ballet (JOANNA FIJAL) Creative Ballet class focuses on: Ballet technique Posture Balance coordination and flexibility With the help of props and a wide selection of music, young dancers can experience the joy of movement through dance! Each class will lead children on a musical journey through creative moves, improvisation and storytelling. About me: My name is Joanna Fijal, I have been dancing professionally in Europe and Asia since 1996 and a teacher of dance for the past 10 years. 10 Rock Challenge (KOICHI) Rock Challenge is a TIS dance performance program and we have been presenting our dance pieces in and outside of school since Members will actively involve in dance creation by choosing themes and music, and by generating dance movements with Koichi s guidance. In this term, Rock Challenge is only on Thursdays and children who are in the current term(2nd term) can perform for the Spring concert and Cherry Blossom Fair. After the cherry blossom fair performance, we will do dance and movement lessons on Thursdays. Grades: G4 ~ G8 Cultural activities - Afternoon Computer Programming for Kids (KENTA) Want to make your own games and websites? This club will offer an introduction to basic computer programming, an essential skill for an increasingly technology dependent era. Learn the basics of coding to make simple websites and games starting with simple puzzle blocks and work your way up to real coding used by professionals. This will help refine design, logic and problem-solving skills as well as expanding creativity. We will use various apps and websites on the computer and ipad to expand the understanding of programming and coding made simple for any child with basic reading skills. Grades: G2 ~ G8 18,000

In street Street Hockey club you will get the chance to hear those every week. Come out and have fun passing, shooting, and of course, scoring! You ll learn new rules, make new friends and have a great time shooting slap slots and taking the ball to the net. Get a group of friends together and come on and join Street hockey. Grades: G3 ~ G8 Kickball (KENTA) Kickball is all about having FUN! Join us to play this classic playground game. We will play games every week while working on hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and most importantly, having lots of fun. No experience or skill required! Grades: G1 ~ G5 Basketball (MICHAEL F.) Students from grade 3-5 who have previous basketball experience or would like to learn more than just the basics are welcome to sign up for this club. Basketball teaches the children teamwork and allows them to be successful in competition. Each term we play against teams from other schools. Grades: G3 ~ G5 (Level 2) Learning how to ride a bicycle (MARTINE & KAREN) This club is for students who are learning how to ride a bicycle or, for those who do not feel fully comfortable riding a yet. Everyone can learn how to ride a bicycle and we will do so in fun way. Get ready to get those wheels rolling! Grades: K1 ~ G2
