1 Lower School Summer 2018

2 INTRODUCTION Dear Parents, A wide selection of clubs are on offer to boys in the Lower School every Monday and Wednesday afternoon during school hours. Options change termly. With their class teacher, boys will have the opportunity to choose one club per day from the selection given. We encourage boys to discuss options with their parents. However, it is important to note that numbers are limited for most clubs. We suggest boys have a1st, 2nd and even 3rd choice for each day. Please write your son s preferences in their PR by Wednesday 21st March so that clubs can be allocated before the end of this term. Please look carefully at the options in this booklet and discuss with your son. Some clubs, particularly musical groups, are not optional whereas some are by invitation only. Class teachers will do their very best to accommodate all the boys requests. Enjoy seeing what is on offer! After School Clubs There are a few clubs available to Lower School boys which take place after school. Many of the clubs listed are offered by outside professionals or have associated costs and you will thus incur a charge should you wish your son to attend. More information about these clubs can be found in the Y3-8 extra curricular activities booklet that you should also have received. Please be aware that membership does not automatically continue from term to term and all clubs require you to reapply. Places are limited for most clubs and boys names will be drawn from a hat if they are oversubscribed. You will be informed if your application has been successful by the end of this term. Boys who have not attended previously will be given priority. Please note that boys will not be able to be collected prior to the stated finish time. Mr G McCafferty Assistant Head of Lower School
