1 PINOCCHIO On Ice Parent Information Pack Winter Recital Saturday, December 8 th CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR On Ice Show Time: 5:00 pm Welcome to our 2018 Winter Recital CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR On Ice! Here are a few things that you will need to know to ensure we have a successful recital and, most importantly, that our skaters have fun! Please contact Jacki Davison (310) if you have any questions regarding the recital. FEES The fees for CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR On Ice are as follows: $ Group Numbers: Available to skaters in levels Basic 3 and above. Includes (8) 1 hour rehearsals with a coach, costume rental and music editing. Rehearsals are on Saturdays from 5:00-6:00pm beginning October 6 th. There will be no rehearsals on Saturday, November 24 th (Thanksgiving week). Deadline for group enrollment is September 29 th. $50.00 Solo Numbers: Available to skaters taking private lessons. Parents are responsible for all costs involving rehearsals with a private coach, costumes and music editing. Skaters in levels Pre-Free Skate and below should have songs that do not exceed 1 minute. All other levels should not exceed 1.5 minutes. Deadline for solo enrollment is November 10 th. $ Group/Solo Numbers: Available to skaters who would like to participate in both a group and solo number. Deadline for group/solo enrollment is September 29 th. $65.00 Rising Stars Program: Available to skaters in levels Snowplow Sam, Basic 1 and Basic 2. Beginner level skaters will perform a group number highlighting the elements learned in their skating school class. Skaters are required to attend (2) rehearsals Saturday, November 17 th and December 1 st. Parents are responsible for costume purchase (see page 2). Deadline for Rising Stars enrollment is November 10 th. Ticket Pricing: $12.00 Pre-Sale: Tickets are available for purchase on your enrollment form. We have allocated (2) tickets per skater for pre-sale. $14.00 General Admission: Tickets available for purchase starting Monday, November 26 th. $175 VIP Box Seating: Seats 12 adults (2 boxes available for purchase) 1

2 ATTENDANCE Continued attendance is crucial! The only excused absence is injury or illness. If a prolonged absence occurs, coaches reserve the right to remove skater from the recital and enrollment fee will be non-refundable. Any missed Saturday group rehearsals will require a private lesson with a coach at the expense of the parent. This is to ensure that there is no wasted time during the limited rehearsal period. REHEARSAL SCHEDULE Group Numbers: Saturday, October 6 th December 1 st (5:00-6:00pm) No rehearsal on Saturday, November 24 th Thanksgiving week Solo Numbers: See your private lesson coach for rehearsal schedule. Rising Stars Program: Saturday, November 17 th and December 1 st (5:00-6:00pm) Dress Rehearsal: Saturday, December 1 st (5:00-6:00pm) - MANDATORY for all Group Number and Rising Stars skaters. Additional information will be provided during rehearsal period. COSTUMES Group Numbers: Ice Chalet will provide and keep the costumes for the recital. We will be trying on costumes early enough to have any necessary minor alterations completed. There is to be no eating or drinking while wearing costumes. Costumes are never to leave Promenade Ice Chalet premises unless cleared in advance with Jacki Davison. Dates/times for costume fittings will be released as we get closer to dress rehearsal date. NO ALTERING OF ANY KIND ALLOWED ON COSTUMES unless done by a volunteer seamstress. Solo Numbers: Parents are responsible for purchasing costumes. Rising Stars Program: Details will be provided at a later date and may require a minimal cost to parents. DAY OF RECITAL Saturday, December 8 th Arrival times will be given at a later date. Costumes are to stay at Promenade Ice Chalet. Hair and make-up should be done prior to arrival. Details to follow. All skaters should be wearing in the boot beige skating tights. Tights are available for purchase at the Pro Shop. TICKETS General Admission and VIP Box Seating will be available for purchase Monday, November 26 th. Seats are first come first serve. 2

3 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We need volunteers to help with hair, make-up, costume alterations, backstage and costume changes. Please see attached volunteer form. Sign up today! The only way to be backstage for dress rehearsal or recital is to be a registered volunteer! RULES All skaters should: Be courteous and polite to the Promenade Ice Chalet Staff Be on time Pay attention during rehearsals Be dressed and ready for all rehearsals (i.e. skates on, hair up, etc.) Ask if you are unsure of where you are supposed to be Wait quietly for your turn to skate Be careful with props and costumes But the most important rule: HAVE FUN! All skaters participating in this recital will be entered to win tickets to Disney On Ice! 3
