2 The Onyx Challenge Figure Skating Champinships will be held at the Onyx-Rchester Ice Arena, Dequindre Rad, Rchester, Michigan, The Ice Arena phne number is The event will take place n Friday, August 18, and Saturday, August 19, ELIGIBILITY/TEST LEVEL: The 2017 Onyx Figure Skating Challenge ( Onyx Challenge ) will be cnducted in accrdance with the rules and regulatins f U.S. Figure Skating, as set frth in the current rulebk, as well as any pertinent updates which have been psted n the U.S. Figure Skating website. The Onyx Challenge cmpetitin is pen t all eligible, restricted, reinstated r readmitted persns as defined by the Eligibility Rules, and is a currently registered member f a U.S. Figure Skating member club, a cllegiate club r an individual member in accrdance with the current rulebk. Please refer t the current rulebk fr nn-u.s. citizens. Test Level: Cmpetitin level is the highest test passed as f the entry deadline in the discipline the skater is entering. Entrants may skate ne level abve that fr which they qualify, but they may nt skate dwn in any event. Skaters wh placed in the tp fur in a final rund f their last qualifying cmpetitin in their divisins must mve up ne level, except fr nvice and higher. Age Restrictins/Requirements: Skaters entering juvenile free skate events (Well Balanced Prgram) must be under 14 years f age at the clse f entries. Skaters entering pen juvenile free skate events (Well Balanced Prgram) must be at least 14 years f age at the clse f entries. Skaters entering beginner thrugh pre-juvenile events will be divided as clsely as pssible by age shuld the number f entries warrant mre than ne grup. Paper/By-Mail Entry: Skaters may enter using a paper entry frm and pay by mail, requiring an extra $10 administrative fee. Cmpetitrs wishing t enter by paper entry frm shuld access a printable entry frm nline, via the fllwing website: Paper, payby-mail entries must be pstmarked by July 25, 2017, t avid the late fees mentined abve. Any entry missing the skater s U.S. Figure Skating number will be charged a $10 administrative fee. Music may be picked up at the registratin table fllwing each event. Every reasnable care will be taken t return CDs, but the hst club, OSA, cannt be respnsible fr CDs left behind at the end f the cmpetitin. Must be a current full member f U.S. Figure Skating - either thrugh a member club r as an individual member; B.
