3 SESSION 1: Starting at 9am sharp Grand Australasian (Open) Championships run concurrently NOTE: First to enter = last to dance. No ballots for championships. Age Groups: 7 9 years years years years 16, 17, 18 years 19 years & over Individual dance winners receive special Grand Australasian Championship medals Overall winners receive perpetual trophies, sashes and cash. Other special awards are also presented. SESSION 2: Starting approximately 12 noon Pre-Premier Sections and Titles, Restricted Premier Titles, Premier Australasian Cup PRIMARY: Highland Fling (4 steps), Sword Dance (4 steps), Pas de Basques (16), Pas de Basques & Highcuts Age groups in all levels and sections will be determined according to entries received. 4 PREMIER AUSTRALASIAN CUP: Dances - Barracks Johnnie (4 steps), Blue Bonnets (4 steps), Scottish Lilt (4 steps), Sailors Hornpipe (4 steps) Prizes: Perpetual trophy for winner, cash prizes for individual dances and overall Strathmore Perpetual Trophy: Highest points in Senior Hornpipe Heather Jolly Award: Spirit of Highland Dancing A dancer selected by the overseas adjudicator. WORKSHOP WITH GUEST OVERSEAS ADJUDICATOR RACHEL McLAGAN (SCOTLAND) Rachel of Flings and Things is a former World Junior Champion and she has also won the Australasian Championship.
