1 ANDRE MORRIS U20 COACH NEWSLETTER MARCH Name: Andre Morris Age: 46 years Occupation: Police Officer Service: 23 years (current service ) Education: Hato Petera College / Rangitoto College: Tertiary Education: Bachelor Arts ( A.U.T ) Dip Business / Management Australian Institute of Business / NZIM Dip in Policing Victoria University, Wellington Married: 4 children Andre has been involved in coaching at various levels within Auckland Rugby Representatives Age Groups either as Head Coach or a Technical Advisor since Teams include Resource coach for Auckland under 16's South, Auckland under 14's South, Auckland East Roller Mills, Auckland West Roller Mills, Auckland South Bill McLaren and Eden Walter Dixon. He has won different championships within each respective teams over those periods. Andre is someone that is passionate about his rugby, players and is well sought after in the club scene. We are lucky to have him on board. Andre was Head Coach of Waitemata Rugby Club school boy under 12's and 13's competition teams winning two Auckland Championships and having Ex All Black Michael Jones as his forwards coach.. Andre later went on to be involved in preseason training for their under 20's/21 teams. Andre has been coaching at Kings college under Rugby director Tasesa Lavea learning his coaching trade under him since In 2014 Andre was head coach at Kings College under 15's taking them to a semi final and won an Auckland Secondary College championship with their 6A team the year before. Andre returns to Kings College in 2016 to coach at the college. Andre is a first year coach at AURFC bringing with him a coaching staff that boast 15 years of 1A First XV Auckland Rugby Coaching experience in Leua Tamati, Michael Veukiso ( Forwards ) Kams Delana( Backs ). All these coaches have been coaching with him at Auckland Rugby Representative Age group level for 2 years now in the Auckland South 14. All have been involved in resource coaching for 16's or 18's respectively. We've been named " The Otahuhu Mafia" by Dave Clarke because we all come from that area in terms of coaching at a college level. We enjoy coaching and developing players for higher honours. Where else in the world are you gonna find a Maori, Samoan, Fijian and a Tongan coach for one team at a club.

4 JEROME KAINO Number: 116 Position: Captain, Loose Forward Born: 06/04/83 Height: 1.96m Weight: 109kg Province: Auckland Provincial Caps: 54 Provincial Points: 45 Provincial Debut: 2004 v Poverty Bay Blues Debut: 2004 v Reds Blues Caps: 106 Blues Points: 40 Breakdown: 8 Tries Test Caps: 68 Test Points: 60 Test Debut: 2006 v Ireland Kaino is now the owner of more than 50 All Blacks caps and is lauded for his muscular and intelligent presence in the Blues pack playing both flanker and number eight. The 2001 Saint Kentigern College graduate took time to find his feet at Super Rugby level but slowly started to make an impact and earned further rewards in 2006 when he made his All Blacks debut versus Ireland. Kaino has now played for the Blues for more than a decade and earned more than 100 caps for the club in the process. He s also been awarded the 2004 IRB Under 21 Player of the year and played every game in the All Blacks 2011 World Cup winning campaign, earning him the 2011 NZ Player of the Year title. Kaino left the Blues at the end of 2012 to take up a position with Japanese side Toyota Verblitz before returning to his former home in Upon his return, Kaino was awarded Super Rugby Player of the Year. In 2015, Kaino took up captaincy of the Blues. Jerome started playing for Varsity in 2002 as an U21 player and is still registered to the club now for SBW RETURNING HOME Sonny Bill Williams to miss Canada sevens, returning home with leg injury. He has been replaced by former varsity lad Teddy Stanaway, who is currently playing for the Bay of Plenty Steamers. Go well mate! #getaroundem #varsityhard Teddy played at the club between Teddy became a member of the Auckland Rugby Academy and started playing senior rugby for the University club in the Auckland Premier grade. In 2009 Stanaway was selected for the New Zealand national under-20 rugby union team which won the IRB Junior World Championship held in Tokyo, Japan.

5 CAMERON MATHER Don t believe all that you read! Played for varsity at u21 s for 2 seasons in the early 1990 s then went to East Coast Bays to break into the North Harbour Set up having played Auckland age grade rugby from Walter Dixon up. I m the youngest of 3 brothers to have played for Varsity My middle brother Stu is now the Union delegate and my Dad Maurice was Manager of the u21 s and Senior reserves in the late 80 s, early 90 s when my older brothers played together Moved back to NZ 14 months ago with my Wife Fiona and Sons Hamish and Finlay after 21 years abroad in the UK, Playing and coaching rugby then latterly for Heineken and as a Marketing Consultant working on events like the Commonwealth Games and Rugby World Cup. Cameron is looking forward to getting back into the swing of things at Varsity it s a unique place with a special culture. He now works for Fonterra in a Channel management role having drunk my last employer Heineken UK dry in his past life. 7 Sinclair One of the many unique characters you'll find at varsity. The former Kings College student has been involved with Auckland's high performance academy for a few years now, having finished high school in He is developed nicely as an open side flanker. The Varsity lad is a tall, wiry, erratic loose forward thatcan pack the punch when it comes to contact. He had a great season with Varsity in 2015 and was named in ITM squad last year.he will be pushing hard for that number 7 jersey for ITM but wants to have another great season at Varsity dominating his opposition. Sinny has a big future in the game and has ambitions to play super rugby. Give this guy a follow because he is as exciting as anything and just an all-round good For those who are interested in surfing, Sinclair takes lessons and is quite renowned in Auckland s surf scene.
