2 Potentate s Message Greetings Nobles and Ladies: Here we are and half the year is almost gone. I know I've said it many times but I don't think I can say it enough, Lady Paula and I have enjoyed and are so proud to serve Bedouin Shrine. Yes, there are times you get stressed and frustrated but over all it is an honor and privilege and we are thankful for each day we have. We started May with the Bedouin Ball. Oh how fun it was. We enjoyed fun and fellowship for two days. The best part of the Ball was having our family there with us and our grandkids escorting us in. After that it was just stepping back and watching everyone letting there hair down and having a good time. As I watched I thought this is what the Shrine should be, everyone visiting enjoying each other and lots of smiles. I want to thank everyone that helped make it such a great success. I would start naming them but I'm sure if I do I would forget someone. I do want to mention one, Steve Manhole Fletcher, this Nobles and Lady Kathleen has worked so hard for the Temple and I can't say how much I really appreciate them both. The onions are gone and we had another success for our Temple. Thanks to Frosty and his team Onion sales went so smooth. And I can't forget Oriental Guide Dave Ross for allowing us to use his facilities and be in his way, we appreciate you Dave. Then we ended May with SCSA in North Little Rock. We may not of had a large turn out but we still had a great time visiting our brothers from across SCSA. Next year it is in New Orleans I wonder how many will want to go. I'm in!! June is very busy with Old Settlers Day parade and Poker Run, G Fest, Haskell Co Golf Tournament and McIntosh Co Golf Tournament. And don't forget Summer Cooler. I hope to see many of you at these and other Bedouin events through out June. Now on to July. The Temple is dark in July for. I'm looking forward to having another great Bedouin time with "Party on the Beach". If you have not made your arrangements to go you still have some time, just let me know. There will be lots of activities and lots of family activilites. Ryan Bibee and Shawn Selmon are working on a fishing trip if anyone is interested let them know. When we return from Imperial it is race time with the ATV races at Hatbox Field. I know Pit and Ritchey have been working on making this an annual event to help raise money for our Temple. Let's get out and help these Nobles. And lets not forget Porter Peach Parade, always nice and cool. We have all been busy so far this year and I'm sure the second half will be as well. I look forward to twice the remainder of the year and being a part of Bedouin's success along with each of you. Membership, Communications, Unity, and Fun. I hope everyone has a great 4 th of July with their families! God Bless each of you, God Bless the Shrine and God Bless Shriners Hospitals for Children Mike Bibee Potentate We still have over 160 Nobles on the non paid dues list. We will publish all non paid dues names in the July Camel Tracks. I appreciate your help with this and understand Dues are due January 1st of each year. Thank you, Mike Bibee Potentate DUES, DUES, DUES!!! NOTICE: There will be a Special Election held June 5 th at 7:00PM at the Temple for the purpose of electing a new Treasurer. Gene "Frosty" Foster Onion Chairman June 12 th at 5:30pm To all Nobles, Purpose of: voting on petitions Noble must have a current dues card If you ve ever looked closely at the US dollar bill, you ve probably seen the All-Seeing Eye above the pyramid. This symbol is a Freemason symbol, and the Latin underneath is a Freemason motto, meaning new world order. Many say that the decision to include this masonic symbol was not influenced by Freemasons Benjamin Franklin being the only Mason on the design committee but the coincidence remains fascinating all the same. MD Gibson Iron Horse Patrol Freemasonry has endured not because of its antiquity, its influence, or its social standing, but because there have been so many who have lived it. The effectiveness of Masonic teachings will always be the measure by which the outside world judges Freemasonry; the proof of Freemasonry is in our deeds and it is in our deeds that Freemasonry is made known to non-masons.
