1 IIIrd EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SPORTING SEA ANGLING FROM DRIFTING BOATS WITH ARTIFICIAL LURES Darłowo, Poland, June 2018 Darłowo has inhabitants, it is located by the Baltic Sea in Western Pomeranian Voyevodeship. It is considered as one of the fastest developing touristic places.

2 Thanks to the variety of attractions Darłowo provides perfect conditions to leisure. Sandy beaches attract tourists. Nowadays Darłowo and it s surroundings are the promised land for anglers. Every day many boats leave the harbour to fish cod: the king of the Baltic Sea. Fishing cruises are great adventure for competitors and for amateurs. General Informations Masovian Region of Polish Angling Association is the organizer of the 3rd European Championships of drifting boat angling with artificial lures. From any port with connection to Świnoujście (200 km from Darłowo) or Gdańsk (190 km from Darłowo). Transportation Transfer of the participants from place of arrival will be granted by organizers after earlier announcement of dates and hours Insurance: Organizers provide participants with the basic insurance packet.

5 Medical requirements: All competitors need a valid health certificate allowing them to take part in marine angling championships. Anti-drug control: Participants should be aware of plausible anti-drug control (sobriety control) as it is set for all sport disciplines according to The World Anti-Doping Agency. Visas Citizens of all European countries which are members of the Schengen zone (EU members except Bulgariac and Romania, plus Iceland, Norway, Switzerland) do not need visas in Poland. Visas for the citizens of the rest of the countries can be obtained in Consulates of Poland. National flags and anthems All teams are obliged to bring their national flags (2 pcs, size: 2x1,65m), and their national anthem on USBstick or CD. Payments - currency Polish currency is Polish Zloty (PLN). In every cash machine and every bank foreign currencies can be changed. Payments with the credit cards are accepted almost everywhere. Deputy, non-angling captain III Player without accommodation and food EUR EUR Starting fee includes: Accommodation with all meals included in Hotel Jan in 2 person rooms, from the dinner at 9nd to breakfast in 16th of June participation at the opening ceremony and closing banquet (without drinks), 9h long training and 8h long qualification course in competition days. (not applicable for Captains and Deputies), insurance, medical and anti-dope service, CIPS and FIPS-M fees, Other organization expenses. IV. Accompanying person EUR This fee grants all services and benefits except boat trips.

7 GENERAL FISHING RULES During competition competitors must follow FIPS-M international rules of sport sea angling Classification based on the size of the fish (1 point per cm + 10 points per fish). Three national teams of 5 anglers are allowed to take part at the Championships. Competition in set on the Baltic Sea. Average depth varies from 20 to 40m, bottom is mainly sandy, rarely covered with rocks. Main species of fish caught in the Baltic Sea is cod (national record 28,9kg). Other species are: garfish (Belone belone), salmon (Salmo salar), sea trout (Salmo trutta), merlangius (Merlangus merlangus), coalfish (Pollachius virens), european flounder (Platichthys flesus) and turbot (Scophthalmus maximus). Artificial lures: pilkers, jumpers as rippers, twisters and artificial flies. Foul hooking is forbidden. Competition boats are about 18m long, with competitors on board. Duration of one turn: 8h. Signals for start and finish are given by the skipper. After half of the turn, angling places are changed (see annexe1). Time to change and to take lunch: 30 minutes. During competitors are forbidden to use any doping substances, alcohol and other products mentioned on a list of the World Anti-Doping Agency. Required equipment according to FIPS-M regulations. Recommendations Bearing in mind knowledge of the fishing venue by organiser recommended gear is: Fishing rod (2,4-3,6m long; casting weigh g), Reel: any (without electrical supply), Fishing line: any (regular or braided), at least 6kg resistance, Artificial lures: any, armed as in annexe 2, Tool for taking the hook out of the fish, Tool for killing fish, knife, bucket or other container (on board) landing net

8 A competitor is allowed to have a reserve rod with reel, but it cannot be armed. During casting competitor should be extremely cautious. Lure should always be seen by the competitor. Link to existing FIPS-M rules:

15 b) Fishing tackle a) A pilker can be armed with a triple hook with maximum three points (Fig.1); a single hook (a jighead with a single hook) with a gap not wider than 20 mm can be fastened to a pilker or jumper (Fig.2). The triple hook must not be larger than 30 mm. (it must pass a 30 mm diameter ring.
