With over 50 tables and lots of drawings, and a paper shredder truck outside I think the 2nd Community Business Expo was a success. We had awesome weather and a great turnout! TJ s was serving great food outside, and the ML Fire Dept was out there too! This will probably be an annual event moving forward, always around the end of April so we don t run into Prom season, Moose Run, Gun Shows and Flea Markets starting at the arena. Please share your experience with some of the businesses that did not take part, maybe they will realize they should be in it next year too! We also will be adding an early registration option for the Expo to 2019 Member Dues invoices, but remember, 1 st come, 1 st served.and when the tables are booked then that is it. MOOSE RUN 2018 Saturday, May 5, 2018 Youth Run 9:00am start AND 5K/10K 9:30am start Moose Lake, MN (City Park) 5K event: Walk, run, or push a stroller. 10K event: Run the scenic course (no walkers, please). Free Youth Run: Designed for kids 10 and under (remember to sign the liability waiver) Location: All events start and finish in the Moose Lake City Park (300 Birch Ave). Note: Dogs not allowed in the City Park(insurance restriction) The Perks---Chip timing, Water available on course, Food available after the run Long Sleeve T-shirts provided to participants, Medals given to top age/gender winners? Yes, three deep!, 100% of profits donated to local charities or non-profits? Yes, always! Cost $25 in advance (by April 29th) and $35 afterwards If the event is canceled due to severe weather or natural disaster, no refunds will be issued. 6 Opportunity to be a Sponsor for 2 of the Chamber s biggest events! We are offering something NEW this year. 2 of our biggest events are the annual Agate Days Weekend(July 14 th -15 th ) and our Nine & Dine Golf Tourney(August 10 th ) Traditionally we have not asked for donations beyond a handful of businesses who have faithfully donated each year towards Agates and Quarters for the Agate Stampede, but costs for the weekend s events have increased due to the rising costs of Agates, advertising, and rental equipment needed over the course of the weekend. The Nine & Dine Golf Tourney has become a signature event with over 45 sponsors last year, with us providing a sign with your businesses logo on a hole and on the scorecards and all marketing for the event. Usually the cost to be a hole sponsor has been $100 per business. My proposal is this: For $150 be a sponsor to BOTH events and we will do all the same things above for the Nine & Dine Golf Tourney AND I will create new promotional material(flyers, posters, etc) for Agate Days Weekend that includes your company s logo. You will get exposure from our 2 biggest events for only $150. If you were considering being a Hole Sponsor for the Golf Tourney then it is just another $50 to get exposure at both events.
