Take a look at the image on the left of the 9 Ball Flights. It shows combinations of swing path and club face results. Example: If your swing path is out to in with an open club face your ball is going to start off left of target and end up right of your target. Keep these concepts in your mind the next time you head out to the first tee! It'll help!

4 Course Updates NO SHOW/LOW SHOW We have been experiencing an uptick in no-shows and what we call low-shows. An example of a low-show is if you book 3 tee times and only arrive with 10 players. Not only is this disastrous for the golf course in the form of lost revenue, but it s not fair to other potential golfers who would like to have those slots. It's a must that groups contact the pro shop in advance and cancel tee times and players. White Oaks will hold the person who booked the time financially responsible. If an Associate Member no shows or low shows they are subject to losing one of their free passes. Website An events calendar has been added to our webpage under the Outings>Upcoming Events link. You can check the calendar for names and dates of our upcoming events. Course Improvements This season has been tough on golf courses with rain and periods of extreme heat. We have increased our chemical program to try to stunt and prevent certain disease from spreading on greens and fairways. Member Monday Member Monday returns for the Summer! Member's guests will receive your member rate for the entire day along with a $2.00 hot dog and soft drink coupon. Club Championship The Club Championship will take place August 26th & 27th. This year it will be a low gross, two day event. We will have three flight. Championship, 1st Flight, and Senior. Championship will consist indexes. 1st Flight 14.1 & up. Senior Flight will consist of anyone 62 & over, any index. Handicap will be compiled on 8/16/17. MEMBERS COMMITTEE We have the committee assembled and next month's edition of the Birdie will have what was discussed in the first meeting.

5 Staff Spotlight Dan Coffin Andy Nelson This edition's first staff member is Daniel Coffin. Dan is a graduate of Delsea High School, Class of Dan enjoys playing golf, his guitar, and snowboarding in the offseason. He has years of experience working the bag drop for the last 7 years and works hard to ensure each member has a quality experience. Dan has recently graduated from Stockton University with a Business Degree and is currently in the process of finding work in his field. Many of you may not recognize his name, but if you've spent time in our restaurant he may have prepared a meal for you. Andy has been a part of the White Oaks team for 13 years. We like to think of Andy as a Pro Bowl left tackle, his name doesn't show up in the box score, but he is an important piece to the franchise. Andy is an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Celtics, and Carolina Panthers fan. His hobbies include: collecting sports cards, reading Stephen King novels, and spending time with his 2 grandchildren. Next time you're in the restaurant make sure you say hello!
