3 Acorn Club Tournaments Description: Annual Entry: Qualifier Entries: The Acorn Club Tournaments are a series of events which are open to all members. Couples tournament entries are not included in annual entry to Acorn Club events. $ (Includes NCGA Event Qualifying Stipend Entries). Non-NCGA members or players with no desire to qualify for any NCGA Event during the year may pay a $150 annual entry, but will then be ineligible to qualify for any NCGA Event or participate on any team that is attempting to do so. You may pay the annual entry up to the 2 nd event of the year. Afterwards you must pay on a time by time basis. Entry fees are as follows. $40.00 for NCGA Qualifying events if attempting to qualify and $25.00 per event otherwise. All players who qualify and compete beyond the local level in any NCGA qualifying event will have their entry feels paid at every level through to the final championship. Qualifier s Stipend: All players who compete beyond OGCC in any NCGA qualifying event will split the qualifier s stipend for that event evenly as long as they are an Acorn Club Member or had attempted to qualify in that event even if they are a substitute. The qualifier s stipend will be $7.50 per player for each player competing in that event that is attempting to qualify for the NCGA Event. TOC & Acorn Cup: You will earn points for participation in each event by how you place. The top 35% of men and women (not to be less than 52 Men & 20 Women) with the highest point totals after the Razzle Dazzle will qualify for the Tournament of Champions and play for the Acorn Cup.. Information & General Rules The information listed herein is as accurate as possible in regards to the formats, rules & handicap requirements for each event to begin the season, but please be advised that either the Tournament Committee, inclement weather, or abnormal course conditions may require that changes to the rules sheets herein become necessary. Any changes will be noted as soon as possible on either the tournament sign-up and/or format sheets provided prior to each event. The following apply to all participants: 1. USGA & local rules apply to all tournaments. Any exceptions will be provided to all participants prior to any tournament. 2. Summer Rules will be in effect for all events unless otherwise noted on the rules sheet passed out prior to each event. 3. Events at the club use the OGCC Tournament Handicap or Low index of the last 12 months if you do not have one, however, all members must keep a verifiable GHIN handicap at OGCC to participate in any events. See following page for details. 4. Non-Member participants in any event listed herein WILL BE subject to playing to their low index of the last 12 months. Members or Non-Members who do not have a minimum of 3 posted rounds in the past 6 months will play to 90% of their L.I. Any member or non-member without a valid handicap will play to a maximum handicap of 18 for men and 27 for women. Members or Non-Members may also have their handicap cut in order to be able to participate if they have demonstrated irregular posting habits or a history of exceptional tournament performance in OGCC Events. 5. The Tournament Committee and the Pro are responsible for all rulings with regards to handicaps and the tournaments listed herein. 6. Exchange scorecards with your fellow competitors, attest scorecards upon completion and return them immediately after the round to the designated scoring area. 7. Per USGA Rules, music may not be played during the course of any Acorn Club Events, whether it be from a cart, radio, or through the use of headphones. 8. The use of cell phones to make phone calls during the tournaments herein is prohibited. The only exception to this rule is for communication with the golf shop or restaurant. Texting is O.K. as long as it doesn t unduly delay play. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification. 9. TOURNAMENT AWARDS DINNER: The flight and overall winners of all Acorn Club & Couples Tournaments (Excluding Twilight Golf) will qualify for the Tournament Awards Dinner at the end of the year as they are the only events which contribute a portion of the purse to the Tournament Awards Dinner Fund. All ties for first place overall or in a flight will be broken by a card-off. Individuals who qualify are eligible to bring one guest as a reward for their qualifying, however, couples that qualify (whether individually or as a couple) may not each bring a guest. 3

4 2017 O.G.C.C. Tournament Handicap Participants in all tournaments listed in the O.G.C.C. Tournament Program will play to their Oakdale Golf & Country Club Tournament Handicap unless it is more than 2 strokes higher than their current GHIN Handicap where it will be capped. The calculation is listed below. Scores Posted: The adjusted score for all events in this program where there is an individual score as well as the Men s, Ladies, Couples, and Srs. Invitationals will be posted to the OGCC Tournament Handicap. Scores Date Range: We will only count tournament scores from the current and the previous calendar year. Mimimum Scores: Opt-Out Penalty: If you do not have at least 3 tournament scores you will play to your lowest index of the last 12 months until you do unless you are subject to the opt-out penalty. New OGCC Members will also compete to their lowest index of the last 12 months until they have an OGCC Tournament Handicap. Any player who opts-out of competing in at least 2 OGCC Tournaments (that have a postable round) for the entire previous calendar year, without an excusable injury, will play to 90% of his/her lowest index of the last 12 months until he/she has an established OGCC Tournament Handicap. Match Play Scores: All match play scores will count in the OGCC Tournament Handicap, however, after a match has been decided both players will be required to post par + their handicap for the remainder of the holes. In addition, a player that is conceded a shot in match play must post what he/she most likely would have made had they played out that hole. Adjustment: Formulation: Scores will be adjusted by the old USGA method of adjusting where a member may take the number of double bogeys = to their handicap up to an 18 handicap and then the number of triple bogeys = to the amount their handicap is over 18 if it is higher. The maximum number that any member will be allowed on any hole is a triple bogey. The OGCC Tournament Handicap is capped at using the lowest 5 out of the last 10 tournament scores. You must have a minimum of 3 tournament scores to have a tournament handicap, or you will play to your lowest index of the last 12 months until you do. The formulation table for players with 3 or more scores will be as follows. 3 Tournament Scores Lowest 1 out of Last 3 4 Tournament Scores Lowest 2 out of Last 4 5 Tournament Scores Lowest 2 out of Last 5 6 Tournament Scores Lowest 3 out of Last 6 7 Tournament Scores Lowest 3 out of Last 7 8 Tournament Scores Lowest 4 out of Last 8 9 Tournament Scores Lowest 4 out of Last 9 10 Tournament Scores Lowest 5 out of Last 10 4

Ties for a Place: Participation: Bonus Points: Minimum Participation: Players that tie for a place will receive all of the points for that place and any subsequent places they would occupy divided evenly amongst them. Half points will be rounded up. All players who finish a tournament will receive a minimum of 5 points for participation in that event. 13 MEN S LEAGUE 2017 Start Time: Entry: Payouts: Teams: Format: 5:30 PM Shotgun beginning Thursday, April 13 th $ per team + $15.00 each week prior to the playoffs (includes food). The Team Entry fee will be paid in 4 places at the end of the year. $10 of the $15 per player will be paid in at least three places each week. You may pick your own team members when you sign up for the league. Each team may have no more than 8 members and must designate a captain. Teams with less than 8 members may add members to their roster up to the third week at which time the roster will become final. Each captain must field a team of 4 players each week that will be split and play as two 2-somes. Singles will be placed on teams with less than 8 members by the pro shop staff. Match Play Every Week, including the playoffs. Teams will play in twosomes each week with each 2-person sub-team having both an individual match and a best-ball match within their twosome. Teams will win or lose their respective matches once they are up more holes than there are left to play, but they will play all holes out because the weekly payout and league points will be determined by the teams who win the most total holes both individually and in their best ball matches. Weekly Payout: For weekly payouts, teams will finish and be paid in the order of the team with the most total holes won, both individually and by their 2 best ball teams. For this reason, as well as the fact that teams will earn points toward the league title according by how many holes they won, all players will play out every hole, even if both their individual and best ball matches have been decided. League Points: Teams will earn points for the league each week in the following manner. All winning teams will be in the top half and will earn points in descending order with the team with the most holes won amongst all the winning teams earning the most points. All losing teams will be in the bottom half and will earn points in the same descending order with the team with the most holes won amongst the losing teams earning the most points. See example below. Winning Teams Losing Teams Team #8-37 Holes won - 10 Points Team #9-24 Holes Won - 5 Points Team #4 32 Holes won - 9 Points Team #5 21 Holes Won - 4 Points Team #3 29 Holes won - 8 Points Team #7 17 Holes Won - 3 Points Team #10 26 Holes won - 7 Points Team #2 13 Holes Won - 2 Points Team #1 22 Holes won - 6 Points Team #6 10 Holes Won - 1 Point Substitutes: Playoffs: Deadline: Any player may play as a substitute for a team that is short up until the last two weeks of the season. During the playoffs teams may field players on their permanent rosters only. Substitutes are eligible for weekly payouts only. The playoffs will commence once all teams have played every other team once. The top 4 teams will make the playoffs with the highest point earning team playing the 4 th place team and the 2 nd and third place teams playing each other in the first week. The 2 nd week the winners will play the winners for 1 st and 2 nd place and the losers will play for 3 rd and 4 th. In the playoffs only winning matches will earn 2 points and halved matches 1 point. The team with the most points wins the match. Holes will be played out in the case of a tie, with the team winning the most holes earning the tie-breaker. If it is still tied, the team with the lowest aggregate net score of the 4 players will win the match. You must call in your team by 3:00 PM on Thursday of that week. Teams calling in or changing their roster after 3:00 PM will be given a 2-stroke penalty for that week. Handicaps: You will play to your tournament handicap for the month as long as it is not more than 2 strokes higher than your current handicap. The Individual Match for both A Players will be at 50% Handicap. Matches between B,C, & D Players will be at 100% Handicap. All players play to 100% Handicap for Best Ball Matches. 13
