November Yarrabend Round 2 of the VSGC Championship

1 November Yarrabend Round 2 of the VSGC Championship Excitement filled the warm air as the VSGC held round 2 of their season ending championship round. Even though the temperature was almost at its maximum prior to tee off, there was the usual rounds of rakija being shared along with all of the usual banter. By 8.15 the first group, deemed the group of death, containing all of the best scores from the previous round commenced their quest to better their last score. Sadly, Sladjan Krsic got ill half way through the round & departed the course. However, in group 4 the day s best score was looming, Rade the dark horse Krstic was making his way through the tight course. Rade scored a net 65 to finish the club house leader, in the same group Mirko Legenda Pajic was hot on the heels of Rade, who also hit a remarkable net 66. Other notables were, Stefan the Cobra Rupa with his usual consistent high scoring, Ray Desancic, Sasha Milenkovic & Darko fashionista Radumilo. The club also welcomed back Milan Denic for his second round with the club, & new comer Vladan Andjelkovic, who was also no slouch with the clubs, playing some fine golf. As the day went on, the golf & the temperature started to heat up, so many of the members couldn t wait to get back & start the drink fest. Most of the groups waited to see who would come in the winner & who will alter the situation in the run for first place, or as I like to call it, try to catch Milan Vekovich. Milan was the runaway winner from the last round, & many of the other members would have to play better than their best to be in the running. A special mention must to Ray Desancic for an NTP on hole 8 which looked unbeatable & Blaza Parovic with a most Longest Drive against the wind on the Par 5 9 th hole. The VSGC would also like to wish Aca Nikolic a safe trip to Serbia, who will not take part in the final round, Aca will be playing Belgrade Golf Course in the snow, as he is off to have a White Christmas. Aca, Srecan Ti Put (Bon Voyage Big Man) We all get to do it next week, the final round at Glen Waverly, will determine the winners from the rest.
