We also are wishing you a healthy 2015 and are making plans to join us at our monthly BSMGC tournaments that Tournament Director Jack Harker has set up for us. It is still a work in progress and sometimes hindered by red tape, but they want to hear your comments and/or suggestions for improvement. If you are interested in becoming a new Committee Chairman or serving as a member at large, please contact Terry Scott, Bob Ranney or Joe Gunn at January s tournament or by phone or . Keep warm and still work on your rain dance. TERRY SCOTT Guys and Dolls Tournament This is the fund raising tournament that BSMGC holds for the High Schools to help support their golf programs. This year it will be held on March 19th. (SEE ATTACHED FLYER). BSMGC hopes that you will not only enter, but help recruit players, donations for the opportunity drawing, etc. This tournament has been run by Jack and Marlene Sheffield, and they are stepping aside. With combined efforts of our club we can continue to make this an entertaining and profitable event. New Guys and Dolls Tournament Director, Mike Krose. 2 Tournaments Once again we were blessed with great weather all year having 12 regular monthly tournaments, 3 away tournaments and our 2 day Champions tournament without having any cancelations. We had an average of 78 players for the monthly tournaments with a high of 87 in July and a low of 69 in October. Elkins Ranch had 46 players, Sterling Hills had 48 players and Simi Hills had 51 players. Out of 49 eligible there were 27 that played in the Champions tournament. I would like to thank the following members that helped with signups and other chores on tournament days. Ed Capuano, Marvin Cecchini, Mike Fraser, Joe Gunn, Jay Hamilton, Gary Peck, Richard White and anyone that I may have forgotten. This year once again there are 49 players eligible for the Champions tournament. We will have 2 flights. It will be held on Thursday, March 26 and Friday March 27. Those that are eligible will be receiving their invitations in February. I am wishing for a happy and healthy New Year for all of our members and families. Michael Gitomer SCGA Report: ATTENTION MEMBERS SCGA has provided us with Clubhouse and Grounds Access tickets for the Northern Trust Open to be held February 19 22, 2014 at the Riviera Country Club. At our February 5th golf tournament a drawing will be held for all those present. Four names will be drawn with each person winning 2 tickets for one day at the tournament, value over $ Winning names will be posted in the pro shop after our tournament.
