What is the ruling? A: If a player, when starting a hole, plays a ball from outside the teeing ground, there is no penalty, but the opponent may immediately require the player to cancel the stroke and play a ball from within the teeing ground. 6 P a g e 6 D u n c a n G o l f & T e n n i s C l u b Bunker Blasts T i p s F r o m t h e P r o s Most players struggle out of the bunker for 2 main reasons:not enough loft and not enough speed. When setting up on your bunker shots, make sure to slightly open the face to keep the club from digging and allow the sand to lift the ball out of the bunker. With the added loft, you will need to make sure the swing is bigger to carry the ball to the putting surface. Have the feeling like to are holding the loft up at impact and trying to slide the club under the ball. This will allow you to make the ball land softly and get more shots up and down.
