1 XI 1 Below is a summary of what was discussed at the Update Sessions. Any new information discussed during the Update Session on March 13, 2018, is in green so it is easily distinguished. I. WELCOME & OVERVIEW: Mimi Griffin, President & CEO of MSG Promotions, Inc. (Start 2:18) A. Shinnecock Hills Golf Club 1. Oldest incorporated golf club and one of the five founding clubs of the USGA 2. Only golf course to have hosted national championships in three different centuries (1896, 1986, 1995 and 2004) B. United States Golf Association (USGA) 1. Over 120 years of serving the game of golf and guiding it forward 2. Mission: To promote and conserve the true spirit of the game of golf as embodied in its ancient and honorable traditions. 3. Core Strategies a. Rules and Handicapping: Clarify and define the rules of the game worldwide I. Writes and interprets the rules of golf to define the sport II. Administers the handicap system thereby allowing golfers of all skill levels to enjoy the same game b. Health of the Game I. Regulates and monitors equipment standards II. Leader in water conservation research for golf courses c. Community I. Serves the community of golfers through various local and regional programs d. Championships I. Conducts a total of 14 national championships including the U.S. Open, U.S. Women s Open, U.S. Senior Open, as well as a variety of amateur and team competitions annually II. CORPORATE HOSPITALITY PROGRAM RESOURCES (Webinar time 2:19 5:29) A. MSG Promotions, Inc. 1. The USGA s exclusive corporate hospitality marketing and management company for the U.S. Open Championship each year 2. Staff with over 130 years of collective experience in the sports marketing industry 3. At least one MSG Promotions staff member will be assigned to each hospitality area and will serve as your main point of contact between now and the conclusion of the championship. Suites on 15 and Daily Suites on 15: Emily Geosits & Ciara Bryan B. Corporate Hospitality Manual 1. The contents of the manual will be kept up to date with any new information pertaining to your involvement in the hospitality program to ensure that you are referencing the most current information available. 2. One of the most valuable sections in the manual is the Timelines & Forms section, which gives you an overview of the important deadlines to help you stay on track with your planning. C. Final Update Session 1. May 8, 2:00pm-4:00pm (Location: Stony Brook College Southampton Campus) a. The May session is the last opportunity to meet as a group before the championship; attendance at this session is highly recommended. 2. An will be sent at least two weeks prior to the session with meeting details as well as a link to RSVP. D. MSG Promotions Website The password-protected section of the MSG Promotions website is accessible to corporate patrons only and includes links to a variety of reference materials including the corporate hospitality manual, all necessary forms, webinar presentations, and maps. a. Login credentials: I. Username: USOPENtable ii. Password: 2018corporatepatron E U.S. Open App 1. A downloadable phone app will be available for the 2018 U.S. Open. More information on how to download the app will be ed to you from the MSG Promotions staff member managing your hospitality option as soon as it is available. III. MAPS & HOSPITALITY AREA LAYOUTS (Webinar time 5:30 8:08) A. We encourage you to review the course map to become familiar with where the various facilities and hospitality venues are positioned throughout the course. B. Entrances to the championship 1. Main Entrance (Gate 1) Fan Central, located off County Road 39 by the 10 th hole a. Guests parking in General Parking and Champions Pavilion VIP Parking

3 XI 3 2. Train Entrance (Gate 2) The security checkpoint for this entrance will be located on Stony Brook Southampton Campus at the corner of County Road 39 & Tuckahoe Road. Tickets will be scanned at the entrance structure on the Shinnecock property located just beyond the bridge that will cross County Road 39. a. Utilized by Passenger Drop-Off as well as anyone riding the train. C. Champions Pavilion 1. The Champions Pavilion will be located to the golfer s left of the 1 st hole a. Due to the downward slope of the hole, the pavilion is naturally elevated giving guests views of the 1 st hole and the 2 nd hole from the patio. I. Wrap-around patio that overlooks the 1st Green and the 2nd Green. 2. USGA Partner Village located to the golfer s left of the 13th hole 3. Tuckahoe Village on 16 located to the golfer s right of the 16 th hole 4. Shinnecock Village on 16 located to the golfer s left of the 16 th hole 5. Village on 8 located to the golfer s right of the 8 th hole 6. Suites on 15 and Daily Suites on 15 located to the golfer s left of the 15 th hole D. Course Navigation 1. Several large maps will be placed throughout the course with a You Are Here indication to help all spectators navigate their way around the course. 2. Mash Signs with multiple directional arrows will also help to guide spectators. IV. WHAT TO FOCUS ON NOW (Webinar time 8:09 20:04) A. Become familiar with the location and layout of the Champions Pavilion. 1. The Champions Pavilion is a communal tent with a hospitality services desk, business center, a central food court area with multiple buffets, action stations where food is made-to-order and a dessert station, as well as a large center bar with open seating. a. Tables have been reserved on either a weekly or daily basis. b. There are a total of ten (10) seats at each reserved table. Overflow seating is available in the area surrounding the bar or on the outdoor patio. c. There will be multiple TV s within the Champions Pavilion to ensure that each table has a view of a TV. d. A Locator Board displaying the layout of the facility and an alphabetical listing of all companies and their corresponding table numbers will be positioned immediately inside the entrance to the Champions Pavilion. B. Timeline Dates Past Due 1. February 1 Final hospitality package payment was due to the USGA a. For questions regarding this payment, please contact: Anne Kellstrom 2. February 1 Catering payment was due to Ridgewells: Andina Keith 3. February 15 Forms were due to MSG Promotions a. Ticket Shipment Form

4 XI 4 i. Include the name of the person to whom your tickets should be sent along with his/her complete shipping address. ii. Shipments will be sent beginning on April 30 in a nondescript box via 2-day delivery and will include the following items: Hospitality Tickets, Staff Tickets, Parking Passes, Fan Guides, Disallowed Items Cards, and Corporate Bag Tag and corresponding ID tag. iii. An confirmation will be sent the day your tickets are shipped. iv. Tickets will not be sent until the signed hospitality agreement and full payments have been received by the USGA and Ridgewells. v. We strongly encourage you to inventory your tickets and keep a record of the barcodes given to each guest. In the event any of your tickets are lost or stolen, we can turn off the barcode of the missing tickets and issue replacement tickets. We will not be able to issue replacement tickets for guests who are unable to attend last minute. b. Corporate Sign Form i. Specify exactly how you want your company name to appear on the corporate identification sign placed on your table and on the locator board at the entrance of the Champions Pavilion. ii. The USGA will produce the corporate signs which will have the same generic font, size and color and will contain only the U.S. Open logo and your company name (no company logos or typeface will be included). iii. There is a limit of 20 characters per line and a total of 3 lines on each sign. iv. Be specific with regard to spacing, capitalization and sharing partners. v. The sign will be yours to keep at the end of the championship. If you have a daily table, please take your sign at the end of the day. C. Upcoming Timeline Dates 1. April 6 Deadline to submit embroidery files for co-branded merchandise 2. April 20 Deadline to order co-branded merchandise D. Current State of Affairs in Golf 1. With Phil Mickelson s victory at the WCG Mexico Championship after a five year drought, coupled with the resurgence of Tiger Woods, we are seeing a new level of excitement in golf and demand for corporate hospitality. 2. If your demand for tickets exceeds your allotment, individual Champions Pavilion Hampton Club tickets are available for purchase. a. Individual tickets with access into the Champions Pavilion b. Ideal for last minute needs for guests you are not able to accommodate with your existing ticket allotment.

5 XI 5 c. Hampton Club ticket holders are welcome to sit at your reserved table(s). Open seating will also be located in designated areas in the Champions Pavilion. d. Tickets can be purchased in any quantity. e. One (1) VIP parking pass will be included with every four (4) tickets purchased on any one (1) day. f. Pricing is per ticket, per day: Wednesday - $650 + tax; Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday - $950 + tax g. Tickets can be ordered directly via the following link: Champions Pavilion Hampton Club Ticket Order Form E. Invitation Process 1. Invitations to your A and B guest lists should have already been sent, with plans to reach out to your C guest list as soon as possible. a. We recommend that you include a deadline to RSVP, as the invitation process always takes longer than expected. F. Consider Merchandise Options 1. A digitized logo file is necessary to embroider your company logo on merchandise. V. A number of products are available at a variety of price points, such as: a. Headwear (not cobranded) - $28 b. Swig Water Bottle (passes security regulations) - $13 c. Ticket Lanyard (includes a plastic holder that fits the ticket) - $8 d. Clear Drawstring Bag (passes security regulations) - $10 2. Determine the total number of guests you will be entertaining 3. Consider gifting opportunities before, during, and after the championship

6 XI 6 E. Electronic Invitation Template - $500 a. A web-based template application with customizable text b. Only way to include the 2018 U.S. Open logo and course imagery on invitations c. Features a number of templates with your corporate logo included F. Order Process 1. Submit your logo to Jenelle Mirro no later than April 6, 2018 a. A.DST file is required for embroidery orders (i.e. Apparel, headwear and microfiber towels) I. embroidery Fees (if you do not have a.dst file of your logo) Logo digitizing fee: $150 Editing fee: $65 b. An.EPS or.jpeg file is required for screen printed orders (i.e. lanyards, glassware, clear bags) c. Logos must fit within the USGA s size restrictions d. Eliminating tag lines and/or trademark symbols will help maximize the clarity of your logo i. A digital proof will be sent for approval within 1-2 weeks of submission 2. Placing your order a. Co-branded merchandise can only be ordered through the USGA. Co-branded merchandise CANNOT be ordered through ad specialty companies, directly from vendors or from local pro shops. b. The deadline to order co-branded merchandise to ensure that it arrives before the championship is April 20, c. Check and credit cards are accepted. There is no fee for paying via credit card. d. Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery after an order has been placed. 3. Shipping your merchandise a. Merchandise can be shipped to: i. Office, hotel or home address ii. On-site to the Merchandise Compound Pick-up options for on-site shipments Delivery to your table During the Pre-Championship Merchandise Opening (June 7-10) VI. GENERAL CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION (Webinar Time 27:35 36:36) A U.S. Open Schedule 1. Championship Format a. The format is stroke play where competitors count each stroke on every hole. b. The full field consists of 156 players. c. There is no Pro-Am golf associated with the U.S. Open.

7 XI 7 2. Practice Rounds (Monday, June 11th- Wednesday, June 13th) a. Players are more amenable to interacting with the fans. b. Cameras are permitted and encouraged. c. Play will begin at approximately 6:45am and conclude at approximately 7:00pm. 3. Championship Rounds (Thursday, June 14th- Sunday, June 17th) a. No cameras or autographs are allowed on these days. b. Thursday & Friday i. Play will begin at approximately 6:45am and conclude at approximately 7:00pm. ii. Players will tee off in threesomes from the 1st and 10th tees. c. The field is cut after all players have completed 36 holes. The cut line includes the 60 players with the lowest scores plus ties. d. Saturday & Sunday i. Start times will be determined by the number of players that make the cut. A smaller field will result in a later start time. ii. Players will tee off in twosomes from the 1st tee only. iii. Sunday of the U.S. Open is Father s Day. e. New Playoff Format i. A revised playoff format will take effect in 2018, with the implementation of a two-hole aggregate playoff in the event of a tie at the end of 72 holes of stroke play. If the playoff results in a tie after two holes, the tied players would immediately continue to play hole-by-hole (sudden-death format) until the champion is determined. 4. Admission Gates will open at 6:00am Monday Sunday, regardless of the first tee time. B. Fan Central located directly inside the Main Entrance (Gate 1) and will feature: 1. Fan Services Tent hosted by American Express featuring championship information and materials, mobile charging stations, and American Express card member giveaways including radios that can be used to listen to the real-time radio broadcast of the U.S. Open as you walk around the course 2. Lexus Performance Experience featuring state-of-the-art interactive golf experiences, as well as the latest Lexus vehicles. 3. USGA Member Clubhouse featuring player speaking engagements and other interactive activities. Anyone not yet a USGA Member is encouraged to stop by and learn more about becoming part of the USGA Member community. 4. The Merchandise Tent will also be located in Fan Central and will feature a check tent where you can store items that have been purchased in the merchandise tent. C. Disabled Services 1. Disabled Services Committee provides limited multi-passenger golf carts for transportation throughout the course.

8 XI 8 2. A limited supply of mobility scooters are available at the Main Entrance (Gate 1) for spectators who may have difficulty traversing the course. a. Scooters are available free of charge. b. Scooters cannot be reserved in advance of when they are needed. D. Inclement and Severe Weather Warnings & Policy 1. Meteorology staff will be on-site monitoring weather conditions at all times. The USGA will communicate important safety information to fans through special alerts that will appear on all leaderboards and a message will be broadcasted on the Scoring Channel. a. Weather Advisory A blue Weather Advisory sign may be posted to alert spectators of specific weather conditions such as extreme heat. b. Weather Watch A yellow Weather Watch sign may be posted to alert spectators that dangerous weather is possible and they should be prepared to take shelter or return to their vehicles. c. Weather Warning A red Weather Warning sign may be posted to alert spectators that dangerous weather is approaching and they should take immediate action including exiting all grandstands. i. A suspension in play due to dangerous conditions will be indicated by one prolonged air-horn blast. In the event of a suspension of play, grandstands will be cleared immediately. 2. If weather conditions become a public safety issue, all facilities, including hospitality options, will be opened for spectators to seek shelter. a. Spectators will be allowed to seek shelter in a designated area within the Champions Pavilion. b. Food and beverage service will not be shut down, rather guests will be required to show the correct wristband and ticket in order to be served. VII. HOSPITALITY OPERATIONS (Webinar time 36:37 41:40) A. Access into Hospitality Areas will be STRICTLY enforced 1. MSG staff, interns and volunteers will monitor the entrance of the Champions Pavilion from 7:00am 7:00pm to ensure that only those with the proper ticket or credential gain access. If you do not have the proper ticket or credential, you will not gain entry. 2. A Credential Board will be posted at the entrance of the Champions Pavilion indicating which tickets and credentials are permitted access into the facility. 3. The entrance to the Champions Pavilion will include separate queues for first-time and returning guests to facilitate the ease of ingress. 4. Upon first entry into the Champions Pavilion, guests will have their ticket holepunched and a wristband affixed to their wrist. a. Both a hole-punched ticket and wristband are required for re-entry to the

9 XI 9 Champions Pavilion. b. Damaged or altered wristbands will be invalid. B. Hospitality Service/Business Centers 1. Hospitality Services will be operated by MSG staff, interns and volunteers who will serve as your main point of contact for all questions and concerns throughout championship week. 2. The Business Center features complimentary use of the scanner/photocopier, computers with internet access and telephones from which your guests can place free local and long-distance calls (international calls excluded). 3. Any Will Call needs you have during championship week can be handled at Hospitality Services. C. No Smoking Policy 1. The NO SMOKING policy will be enforced inside the Champions Pavilion, and on the patio. This includes cigars. D. Restrooms 1. The Champions Pavilion will have dedicated restroom facilities exclusive to guests in the pavilion. 2. Port-0-let restroom units will be located throughout the course for all spectators. E. Scoring & Information Channel 1. All televisions in the Champions Pavilion will feature the USGA s official scoring channel. 2. During the championship rounds (Thursday Sunday), the scoring channel will be fully operational with real-time scoring, current leaderboard standings, and individual player statistics 3. Weather alerts, suspension of play, or other important safety information will be updated and broadcasted on the scoring channel throughout the week as needed. a. To review our policy in the event of weather-related stoppage in play, please reference the Cancellation section in your hospitality agreement. F. ADA Accessibility in the Champions Pavilion 1. The Champions Pavilion will be equipped with ramps and/or a wheelchair lift. 2. If you have guests who are wheelchair-bound or oxygen-dependent, please let us know as soon as possible. We will do whatever we can to help facilitate their experience at the championship. VIII. TICKETS (Webinar time 41:40 49:37) A. Understand the types of tickets included in your hospitality package. 1. Hospitality Tickets

All tickets will be color-coded by day and have Champions Pavilion printed on the front as well as a distinctive overprint on the back to allow easy identification and access into the pavilion. b. Individual table numbers will also be printed on the front of Champions Pavilion tickets. c. Each weekly Champions Pavilion package will include an allotment of fifteen (15) tickets with access into the Champions Pavilion for each day, Wednesday through Sunday, of the U.S. Open. The weekly package also includes an allotment of fifteen (15) Trophy Club tickets for Monday, June 11 and Tuesday, June 12, since the Champions Pavilion is not operational on those days. Note: With the implementation of the new playoff policy (two hole aggregate playoff on Sunday), weekly table patrons will no longer be sent tickets for a potential Monday playoff. I. The Trophy Club is an upscale tented facility with non-reserved seating as well as food & beverage available for purchase. II. You will have the ability to purchase prepaid gift cards for your guests to utilize in the Trophy Club. We will communicate further details as soon as they are finalized. d. Each Daily Champions Pavilion package will include an allotment of fifteen (15) tickets with access to the Champions Pavilion for each day reserved. e. Prices will not be printed on the Champions Pavilion tickets. 2. Staff Tickets a. In addition to your hospitality tickets. each package includes one (1) staff ticket, per day, per table (Wed-Sun), b. Staff tickets do NOT have any special designation printed on them which allows you to use them as additional hospitality tickets for guests if needed. c. Staff tickets are not transferable throughout the day. 3. Junior Tickets a. Available on-site at Will Call only and will never sell out. b. New Pricing Structure: I. Children ages 18 and younger are admitted free of charge on any day. II. There is a maximum of two (2) Junior tickets per one (1) adult ticket holder. c. Junior tickets DO NOT ALLOW access into any of the corporate areas i. EVERYONE entering any hospitality venues must have the proper ticket or credential regardless of age, including infants.

11 XI 11 II. Please notify your guests of the Junior Ticket policy. You must provide one of your hospitality tickets to any guest who plans to bring their child into the Champions Pavilion. 4. Will Call a. Hours of Operation i. June 7-10, 10:00am- 6:00pm ii. June 11-17, 6:00am-7:00pm b. Please note the following: i. For the convenience of your guests, we strongly recommend that you distribute all tickets and parking passes in advance of the championship and use Will Call for special circumstances or last minute needs only. ii. Spectators cannot drive to Will Call. Please do not leave parking passes at Will Call for your guests. iii. Do not leave any personal items or notes in the Will Call envelope. iv. All tickets must be left in a specific person s name. A photo ID will be required to pick up any Will Call envelope. 5. One Day Gate Pass a. Guests who arrive at a gate that is different than where their ticket is held will be given a temporary ticket to enter the championship with directions to the Champions Pavilion. Upon arrival at the entrance to the Champions Pavilion, their temporary ticket will be exchanged for the proper ticket. IX. SCREENING, PROHIBITED ITEMS & ADMISSION GATES (Webinar Time 49:38 56:06) A. EVERYONE will pass through a security checkpoint that is equipped with either a magnetometer or hand wand before entering the championship. B. Prohibited Items and Security 1. A complete list of items prohibited at the U.S. Open Championship will be available on the U.S. Open website, printed on the back of all tickets, and listed in the Fan Guide. In addition, a supply of Prohibited Items cards will be sent with your tickets. We encourage you to include a Prohibited Items card when sending tickets to your guests. 2. Spectators arriving with a prohibited item will be asked to return the item to their vehicle or check the item in the Disallowed Items trailer. C. Mobile Device Policy 1. Spectators are allowed to bring cell phones/mobile devices into the championship as long as they adhere to the USGA s Mobile Device Policy. a. Mobile devices must be kept on silent or vibrate at all times. b. Phone calls can be placed or received inside any of the hospitality facilities or within designated phone zones located throughout the course. Texting and

12 XI 12 are permissible throughout all areas of the course, as long as it does not disrupt players. c. The use of mobile devices is prohibited on the shared patio as well as in any area on the course that may disrupt play. D. Bag Size Restrictions 1. No backpacks, briefcases or bags larger than 6 W x 6 H x 6 D in their natural state are allowed into the championship. 2. Transparent/clear plastic hand and shoulder bags smaller than 12 W x12 H x 6 D are permitted. These can be purchased through the USGA. E. Corporate Bag Tag & Corresponding ID Tag 1. Each company will receive one Bag Tag which will allow you to bring one oversized bag into the championship (no larger than a shoulder duffle bag). 2. The Bag Tag and a corresponding ID tag will be included in your ticket shipment. 3. ID tag must be labeled with your name and company and must be affixed to the bag at all times. 4. The bag is still subject to search. 5. Disallowed items are not permitted with a bag tag. F. Approved Device Stickers 1. Each company will have the opportunity to request a limited supply of Approved Device Stickers for the staff you have hosting your table who would like to bring a laptop or tablet with them each day. 2. The sticker must be affixed to the device at all times. 3. The device must remain inside the Champions Pavilion throughout the day. The use of laptops and tablets is prohibited on the course. X. PARKING & TRANSPORTATION (Webinar time 56:07-1:05:54) A. General Parking 1. General Parking will be located at Gabreski Airport as it was for the 2004 U.S. Open. 2. No special credential, pass or ticket is required to access General Parking or to ride the USGA shuttle to the championship. 3. There is no fee to park in General Spectator Parking or to ride the U.S. Open shuttle to the course. 4. The shuttle ride from this area is approximately 25 minutes, depending on traffic. 5. Maps and driving directions will be included in the Fan Guide and on the U.S. Open website. B. Long Island Railroad (LIRR) 1. During the week of the U.S. Open, the LIRR will reestablish the train stop located across County Road 39 from Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, as they did for the 2004

13 XI 13 U.S. Open. Trains traveling from both the East and the West will stop at Shinnecock. 2. A temporary pedestrian bridge will be built over County Road 39. Guests will go through security screening prior to crossing the bridge and will enter the championship through Gate 2. a. The width of the bridge will be increased to 16 wide (it was 8 wide in 2004). b. Transportation across County Road 39 will be available for those who are unable to traverse the bridge. 3. Train schedules and pricing will be made available as soon as they are finalized. C. VIP Parking for Champions Pavilion Patrons 1. Location: Southampton Cemetery (2 miles East of Shinnecock Hills) a. Nothing larger than a 12 passenger van (19 or shorter in length) will be permitted to access this area. b. Guests parking in this area will board a complimentary U.S. Open shuttle bus and be dropped off at the Main Entrance (Gate 1) located on the short course at Shinnecock, where they will pass through a security check point prior to entering the championship. i. Spectators arriving with a prohibited item will be asked to check the item in the Disallowed Items trailer. 2. Vehicles must display the appropriate VIP parking hangtag in order to access the area. 3. VIP parking hangtags are included with your hospitality package and will be shipped with your tickets (approximately 6 weeks prior to the championship). a. Champions Pavilion patrons will receive five (5) VIP parking hangtags per table, per day. b. Hangtags will be color-coded by day to match the admission tickets, and will include a map and driving directions on the back of each hangtag. D. Handicap Parking 1. All parking areas will have an area designated for handicapped parking for anyone with a handicapped placard or designation on their license plate. 2. For those requiring lift-equipped shuttle transportation to the course, please contact the USGA Admissions Office at (800) to request the hangtag necessary to access a designated lot located at the Elks Club in Southampton. E. Passenger Drop-Off 1. Location: Stony Brook Southampton campus in the Southwest corner. 2. Available to anyone attending the U.S. Open. There is no fee or special pass required to access this area. a. Taxis, town cars, Uber, Lyft, etc., will be able to access this area for pickup/drop-off, however there will be no staging permitted.

14 XI Guests dropped off in this area will walk from the depot to the security screening tents and then cross the pedestrian bridge over County Road 39 and access the course via Gate 2. F.
