1 YOUR INVITATION AUTUMN CONFERENCE 12th - 13th SEPTEMBER 2017 You are invited to join us in Devon, UK for BALPPA's 2017 Autumn Conference. This year's Autumn Conference takes place on Tuesday 12 th and Wednesday 13 th September and features the traditonal Charity Golf Day, in support of our Chairman's chosen charity, Lady Taverners, a Member meetng, awracton visits, conference dinner and an overnight stay. AWracTons visits during the Autumn Conference include the Crealy Great Adventure Park and Resort and Paignton Zoo. We have a great itnerary planned so don t miss out!

2 AccommodaTon We will be staying at Jurys Inn, Exeter which is a well located city centre hotel, convenient for our a;rac<on visits and conference dinner. Accommoda<on is included within our Autumn Conference package for the night of Tuesday 12 th September, with breakfast. Tuesday 12 th September - Charity Golf Day As is tradi<on, a Charity Golf Day will take place on the morning of Tuesday 12 th September at Teign Valley Golf Course, set in the beau<ful countryside on the edge of Dartmoor Na<onal Park. This year s Charity Golf Day is in aid of our Chairman s chosen charity, Lady Taverners and is a team event over 18 holes. Don t worry if you don t have a team we will arrange this for you! The cost of the golf package includes coffee and bacon rolls on arrival a the club, 18 holes of golf, a charitable dona<on to Lady Taverners and not to men<on some great prizes!

3 Tuesday 12 th September Once the golfers have returned, our Autumn Conference i<nerary will officially begin! We will be taking a short coach trip to nearby Crealy Great Adventure Park and Resort where we will be treated to some refreshments before holding a Welcome / Members mee<ng. We will be running through our i<nerary for the conference as well as upda<ng you on all things BALPPA. We will also be treated to some history and informa<on from the team in the know at Crealy, including more about their accommoda<on areas.

4 Tuesday 12 th September cont... AYer the mee<ng, you will be able to enjoy all the facili<es at the park as well as a tour of Crealy s accommoda<on areas including glamping sites and the newly opened lodges.

5 Tuesday 12 th September cont... Following our visit to Crealy Great Adventure Park and Resort, we will head back to the hotel for a quick change before making our way out for the Conference Dinner which takes place at Exeter Castle, just a short walk away from our hotel. Exeter Castle stands at the highest part of the city within the North East angle of the city walls. Within the ancient walls, much of the original structure of Devon County Court s<ll stands which was erected in To begin our evening in style, we will enjoy drinks in the splendid Castle Courtyard (weather permi`ng!), before heading into the pres<gious Ballroom for a sumptuous three- course dinner.

6 Wednesday 13 th September Following a hearty breakfast at our hotel, we will travel by coach to Paignton Zoo. With more animals than anyone else in the South West, you re in for a really wild day out! On arrival we will head to Island Restaurant where we will be given a talk by a Member of Paignton Zoo s Management Team before le`ng you loose within the a;rac<on! Firstly, you can enjoy the Jungle Express Train which will give you an exclusive peek into the <ger and lion enclosures and a ride past Paignton Zoo's gorilla island. Following the train ride, the team at Paignton have arranged for us to have guided tours of the zoo. AYer all that exploring we will meet back at Island Restaurant for lunch. AYer lunch the Autumn Conference will officially end and the coach will return to Jurys Inn Hotel however guests are welcome to stay on to enjoy Paignton Zoo or visit nearby Living Coasts where they will receive complimentary entry.

7 Pricing The 2017 BALPPA Autumn Conference is a fully inclusive package which includes a 1 night hotel stay, entrance into the a;rac<ons, coach travel and food and beverage as specified within the conference i<nerary. The conference is priced at 295 per person based on a single occupancy room or 265 per person based on a double occupancy room (2 people sharing). Please note that the price does not include travel or transfers to and from the conference. As this package falls under the TOMS scheme, there is no VAT chargeable. Golf Day There are 2 packages available the 1 st package is priced at 195 per person and includes overnight accommoda<on on Monday 11th September and the Golf Day on Tuesday 12 th September. The 2 nd package is priced at 75 per person and does not include accommodaton on Monday 11 th September but just the Golf Day on Tuesday 12 th September. For both packages the Golf Day includes coffee and bacon sandwiches on arrival at the, golf club, 18 holes of golf in a team compe<<on and a charitable dona<on to Lady Taverners. Golf club hire is not included in the package but is available for an additonal charge and hire fees must be paid directly to the club.
