Breeds, Stock, or Light Breeds) depending on their type. **Collectibility -- All OF: 4 per class per entrant; Entrants are must provide documentation on their models (model name, year(s) produced, number made, note of special variations, etc). **CM/AR Workmanship -- 4 per class per entrant OOAK = one of a kind; SR = Special Run

4 1. TIME: Setup 7:00 am; classes start at 8:00 am; estimated finish time is 5-5:30 pm (sorry, no Friday setup) 2. LOCATION: Benton County Fairgrounds, large auditorium, 110 SW 53rd St, Corvallis OR; ample parking; handicapped access; 5400 sq. ft. hall DIRECTIONS TO FAIRGROUNDS: From I-5, take Exit 228 west about 9 miles to Corvallis (this is Hwy 34 and becomes Harrison St. in Corvallis). Continue through Corvallis, past University dairy barns. At traffic light, turn left onto 53rd St. Fairgrounds is just past the mobile home park on your right. From Hwy 99W, turn west on Harrison St in Corvallis, continue through Corvallis, past University dairy barns. At traffic light, turn left onto 53rd St. Fairgrounds is just past the mobile home park on your right. 3. ELIGIBILITY: This show is open to anyone to enter (no membership required) and to all brands & types (plastic, china, etc.) of models, figurines or statues. A judge who customized a model shall not judge that model in any class. Judges shall not compete in division(s) they are judging. Show management shall not compete. 4. DEFINITION OF OPEN DIVISIONS: CUSTOMIZED/ARTIST RESIN (CM/AR) DIVISION: For models which have been touched-up, repainted, remade, haired or any combination of these; Animal Artistry pieces, artist resins & original sculptures shall compete in this division. CM/AR PERFORMANCE DIVISION: for any size or type of customized, artist resin, or custom glaze models ORIGINAL FINISH (OF) DIVISION: For factory finish models; no added socks, blazes, etc. allowed; models that have been rubbed with baby oil or similar product will be penalized or disqualified at the judge's discretion. Unnoticeable minor touchups to restore model to original color are allowed. Breed classes & Breed championships are divided as follows (except Foal/Yearling classes & championship where all plastics compete together for champion/reserve): Stone: Peter Stone models Plastic: Breyer, Hartland, other plastics (no Peter Stone models) OF PLASTIC MINI BREED HALTER DIVISION: For OF plastic models under approximately 4 at eartips or of that scale. Includes Breyer LittleBits, Stablemates, & Mini Whinnies; Micro Minis; Hartland Tiny Mites; Schleich, Stone Chips & Pebbles; etc. Plastic Minis must only enter Mini Division; no cross entry to OF Plastic classes. Mini OF china/resins shall compete in OF China/Resin Division. Any OF Mini (plastic or C/R) may compete in OF Performance. OF CHINA/RESIN DIVISION: Breyer porcelains, North Light, Hagen-Renaker, Beswick, Black Horse Ranch resins, other factory finish chinas or resins OF PERFORMANCE DIVISION: for any size or type of original finish models, including plastic, china and resin 5. YOUTH DIVISION: (not NAN Qualifying classes) For youth 14 years or younger as of Jan. 1, May show OF plastic models or models customized by the entrant only. Youth may not cross enter to any other divisions; except they may enter Scene & Collection. The same models may NOT be shown in Open by another entrant. Tack used in Youth performance may NOT be used in Open by another entrant. Youth must set up their own entries in halter and performance; an adult may give verbal advice, but shall not touch the model/tack. 6. GENERAL: Classes may be split at judge s &/or show management s discretion. "Other Perf" is any event not listed (if showmanship, must use doll) Costumes & saddles must have a girth Each model may enter 1 Breed halter class only and one Collectibility/Workmanship class, as offered by their division. 7. BASIC JUDGING CRITERIA (not necessarily in order of importance): OF Breed Halter: condition, conformation, breed type, color, cleanliness, overall appearance CM/AR Halter: conformation, breed type, color, condition, cleanliness, workmanship CM/AR Workmanship: prepping/sculpting quality, biomechanics, detail, paint & finish work. OF Collectibility: rarity, age, condition, desirability, value (Documentation required) Performance: suitability to event or task portrayed; appropriateness, fit, adjustment, detail of tack/props/doll; placement of model in relation to props; accuracy of documentation 8. HALTERS: are not required in breed, color or finish classes; if used, should fit properly & be appropriate for the breed

5 9. FOALS/YEARLINGS: may enter foal/yearling classes only and Collectibility/Workmanship class as offered by their division 10. ENTRY LIMIT: no limit to total number you may bring; CLASS LIMIT: 4 per class in Collectibility & Workmanship; 1 in Collection Class (grouping of 8 models, shown during lunch break); no other class limits 11. LEG TAGS: You must provide & fill out your own tags String tags should be at least 1 Each entrant will be assigned an exhibitor identification code; you must provide an address or SASE to get your code OR entrants may use their Region 1 Tag Saver number Make list of your models; number them sequentially (must be in ascending order; OK to skip numbers) Mark your tags with your code, model number, model s breed Example: Code = K, Model # = 12, Breed = Morgan K-12 R Morgan OR Morgan Please print on tags neatly in blue or black ink You must provide showholder with list of models (with entry form, via or on show day); failure to provide list will result in forfeiture of NAN qualifications because your horses won't be listed in the results provided to NAMHSA If you make changes or additions, you must provide this info in writing to showholder on show day (forms provided at show) 12. JUDGES: The following judges are scheduled: CM/AR Halter Tracy Eilers CM/AR Performance Tracy Eilers OF Plastic Halter Cheryl Wood OF Performance Laura Pervier OF Mini Plastic Halter Colleen Menning OF China/Resin Halter Laura Pervier Youth Traci Durrell-Khalife Non-Realistic Color, Scene, Collection -- TBA Show management reserves the right to replace a judge in the event the judge has an emergency and cannot attend. Every effort will be made to notify entrants of substitute judges if there is time before the show date. DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES ARE FINAL. 13. AWARDS: Commercial flat ribbons 1st-6th in Open classes; 1st-10th in Youth classes, Collection & Scene Rosette to Champions & Reserve Champions Rosette to Grands & Reserve Grands ALES Pursuit of Excellence award to any champion or reserve long ear Lakeshore-donated flats to Lakeshore class 14. RESULTS: complete results provided to all entrants after show (YahooGroups file, on show web site, or US mail) 15. NAMHSA TM MEMBER SHOW: 1st & 2nd place models in Open divisions will receive tickets & qualify to compete at North American Nationals (NAN) in 2010 in Kentucky or Models that qualify in breed halter can enter breed halter at NAN; those that qualify in non-breed halter can enter non-breed halter at NAN; those that qualify in performance can enter performance at NAN. Owners of qualified models must contact NAMHSA for entry forms/procedures. NAMHSA will announce when to do so. 16. SCENE CLASS: Must include at least one equine; Youth Division entrants may enter at no additional charge. 17. COLLECTION: 8 models of same make; 30" of table space allowed per collection; models should be labeled with collectibility information; risers/cloth cover recommended; 1 entry per person; judging criteria include condition, age, rarity, value, value, presentation. Youth Division entrants may enter at no additional charge. 18. CHAMPIONSHIPS: will be determined from judge-offs (call backs) of 1st & 2nd place winners. All champions and reserves will compete for Grand/Reserve Grand of their respective division. 19. CLASS ORDER: Four divisions will be judged simultaneously on separate tables following the order printed on class list. 20. TIME LIMITS: 3 minutes maximum preceding halter classes; 7 minutes maximum preceding performance classes. If necessary, timers will be used to enforce time limits. Two sets of tables will be used in each division to facilitate set up. 21. COURTESY: Please: look, but do not touch anything without owner's permission; stay clear of show tables while judging is in progress; clean your area before leaving. Help putting away tables & chairs after show is greatly appreciated!

6 22. AUCTION: Silent bids accepted in morning for those who can t stay for oral auction which will be around noon (during lunch break). Some items may be started online. Donations are welcome! Consignments may be accepted with 50% minimum donation -- please inquire. Donors receive free black/white full-page copy ready ad in program. 23. RAFFLE/DOOR PRIZES: Donations are welcome! Donors of door prizes get a free black/white classified or business card-size ad Donors of raffle items get a free black/white full-page ad Each donor s name goes into special donors drawing. Raffle tickets are 50 cents each, 5 for $2, 15 for $5 All entrants' names will go into free door prize drawings 24. SPONSORSHIPS: $1 per class (get free classified or business card-size ad) $5 per championship (get free full-page copy ready ad) For each $1 of sponsorship, your name goes into a special sponsors drawing 25. ADS: available in program only; black/white copying (no ads in results) Classified: 50 words maximum or copy ready business card $1.00 Half Page: copy ready, $3.00 Full Page: copy ready, $ SELLING/TRADING: You may display models, tack, etc. for sale or trade on your table. Sales only tables are $15 each. 27. TABLES: tables will be assigned; each entrant (whose form & fees are received by April 1) gets an 8' table & 2 chairs (late entrants may have to share tables); you may bring your own table cloth; you may rent an additional show table for $ ENTERING/DEADLINES: Use enclosed entry form. Fees and deadlines are listed on it. 29. ADDING/CHANGING MODELS: Any changes/additions must be provided in writing to the showholder on show day (forms & drop-box will be provided to submit this information). 30. LUNCH: We will break around noon for approximately 30 minutes regardless of where we are on class list. Non-realistic Color Collection & Scene classes will be judged during lunch. Box lunches may be pre-ordered. (see lunch order form for price and details) Fast food places (Burger King, Subway, Quiznos) and Safeway are within a 5-minute drive at intersection of 53 rd St. & Hwy 20/34; or bring your lunch and eat & visit in the show hall. 31. ACCOMMODATIONS: hotels may fill up quickly; reserve early!
