Medallions and Rosettes will be awarded in Junior, Senior, Grand and Stake championship classes. Amateur Champion of Champions will be awarded a Crystal Medallion. 1 st place Amateur M, S & G to complete. Gift Bags will be presented to all Leadline and Costume Class participants, compliments of the Loomis and Bassett families. Participating show for Triple A Amateur award Participating show for ASPC/AMHR/ASPR Youth High Point Award Trophies to Driving Derby Winners compliments of a Bluestem MHC member. AMHR/ASPC will sponsor championship ADS ribbons to the top registered AMHR horse and ASPC Shetland pony in this fun event. ENTERING YOUR HORSE: Send completed entry form(s) and copy of upto-date Registration Certificates for each animal. Please copy front and back, if needed, to verify current owner/lessee. Include copies of Youth and Amateur membership cards with your entry if applicable. Registration certificate and membership cards not required for horses / ponies entering only the Driving Derby. Amateur and Youth applications will also be available at the show office. Submit all fees due with your entry. ENTRY DEADLINES: Early Bird entry fee available if entries are postmarked by July 21 st. If postmarked after July 22 nd Regular class fees will apply. ENTRY FEES: Early Bird entry fees (postmarked by July 21 st are $60.00 unlimited classes or $25.00 for single classes. Regular entry fees are $70.00 unlimited classes or $30.00 for single classes. Driving Derby Go One counts as a class and Driving Derby Go two counts as a class for entry purposes. Make checks payable to Bluestem Miniature Horse Club, returned checks will be assessed a $30.00 fee. Mail entries to Jennifer Hoyt, Chardonnay Street, Paw Paw, MI, Cell: (269) ENTRY POLICY: Entries accepted are considered final, refunds will not be given. If your horse/pony is unable to compete due to illness or injury you may enter a substitute with no penalty upon presentation of documentation from your veterinarian stating the original entry is unable to compete due to illness or injury. If you are unable to attend the show due to an emergency situation the Club will issue you credit to be used at a future Club show. FACILITIES & CAMPING: The Lancaster Event Center (LEC) is located at 4100 N 84 th Street, on the East side of Lincoln, NE. Driving directions: Exit #405 from Interstate #80, to Cornhusker Hwy, left to 84 th St., South to Event Center or Waverly Exit from Interstate #80, West to 84 th St., South to Event Center. Completely enclosed facilities with wash racks, restrooms, and lunch stand. Camping facilities (including electricity) are available for $25 per outlet per show day, purchase online at the LEC website (www.lancastereventcenter.org) or at Concession Stand or Facility Office when you arrive. Payment for Camping will be made to Lancaster Event Center at the time of purchase. GATE HOLDS: As a courtesy to your fellow exhibitors, please report all Gate Holds to the Office in advance of your class, every effort will be made to allow you the time you need. Once a class is given the final call the gate will be closed in two (2) minutes and no late exhibitors will be allowed to enter the ring. GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS: This show is being run according to the official rules of the American Miniature Horse Registry (AMHR). The Bluestem Miniature Horse Club is the sponsor. The Show, the AMHR, the Bluestem Club, the Lancaster Event Center, the Lancaster County Agriculture Society nor anyone working with the show, will be held responsible for any loss or accidents that may occur to persons, animals, or property. The exhibitors shall hold aforementioned persons harmless and indemnify them against any legal proceedings arising from such accidents. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: It is required that entries coming from out- ofstate conform to health requirements for interstate transportation of horses from their state of residence to the state of Nebraska. The Bluestem Miniature Horse Club reserves the right to ask for an on-site Vet inspection, at owner s expense, for any animal appearing to be in poor health. HORSES & PONIES ENTERED ONLY IN CARRIAGE AND/OR DRIVING DERBY: These horses and ponies do not need to be registered and do not need to present registration papers to enter or compete. If you plan to show in any AMHR approved class you must present current AMHR registration certificates and measure with the AMHR Steward.

The horse must be shown in a traditional western halter and lead with or without chain, no cable halters allowed. Exhibitor attire to be western type, hat is optional but if worn must be of the western type. Judged 75% conformation and 25% on presentation and appointments. AMHR Western Stock Halter classes are nonrated in 2017 (does not count toward National qualifications), horse may show in any other halter classes VSE/Small Pony Carriage Driving Driving Derby MEASUREMENT TIMES: Thursday noon to the start of the show and as needed and as Steward is available. Friday morning 6:30 am and as needed and as Steward is available. Horses and Ponies showing only in Carriage and/or Driving Derby do not have to measure. Please enter using the honor system, if in doubt on size present for measuring by the AMHR Steward. NON-RATED CLASSES (NR): Amateur Champion of Champions Judged from the 1 st place Amateur Stallion, Mare & Gelding in each division with one winner placed. Non-Amateur may show back for an Amateur with more than one exhibit in the finals. AMHR Western Stock Halter The AMHR Wester Stock Halter horse will be a small, attractive, durable athlete with a smooth, fit, well-muscled body. Fine boned and weak muscled are faults. The gait will be purposeful and ground-covering with little flexion of the knees and hocks and the head and neck will PHOTO AREA WILL BE LOCATED OUTSIDE THE ARENA! SHOW & STALL LOCATIONS: The show and all stalling will be in Pavilion 2. STALLS AND SHAVINGS: Stalls for horses and/or tack are $30.00 per night. Noon arrival first day and departure by Midnight the following day counts as 1 (one) for stall count purposes. All horses/ponies must be stalled, no jump-out allowed. Shavings will be available for $9.00 each plus sales tax at the show, purchase from Concession Stands or Facility Office when you arrive and they will be delivered to your stalls or order on-line (preferred) Outside bedding is not allowed; users of outside bedding are subject to a $50.00 fine levied by LEC. Payment for Shavings will be made to Lancaster Event Center at the time of purchase. No Early-Arrivals at this busy County Fair Show Stalls available 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 10 th, must be vacated by mid-night Friday, August 11 th Stalls must be ordered on Entry Form Purchase your shavings on-line for convenience! CALLING ALL YOUTH: We have a special opportunity to offer our youth. We call it our Youth Scholarship Program. Please fill out the Youth Scholarship Application Form below. If you do not have the measurement card, the horse will be required to be measured again. 2. The steward is required to see a copy of the registration papers. Bring a copy with you when you present your horse to be measured. Proof of AMHR membership is required for the purchase of an amateur card at this show. Membership, amateur and youth cards can be obtained from the show steward. Contact AMHR for details.
