3 SHOW ENTRY CHECKLIST 1 Complete name, address and phone number of registered owner. 2 Sign form as owner or responsible party. 3 For Amateur classes, sign form and list AMHA Amateur number and include a copy of Amateur card. 4 For Youth classes, parent or guardian must sign form and list AMHA Youth number and age as of January 1 st and include a copy of Youth card. 5 Complete all information on horses to be shown. List exhibitor that will be showing in each of the classes. This is a must for Youth and Amateur classes. 6 PHOTOCOPY both sides of the horses registration papers and attach them to the entry form, also include a copy of Youth or Amateur card. 7 PHOTOCOPY of a Certificate of Veterinarian Inspection (stallion certificate) for Cryptorchidism must be attached to the entry for all senior stallions. 8 Gelded status must be reflected on the registration certificate to show in any AMHA classes. 9 Mail entry form with check, money order, or credit card for all entry fees by March 21, 2018 made payable to the Interstate Miniature Horse Club (IMHC). 10 Entries postmarked before March 21, 2018 are eligible for the pay one fee classes. 4 SCHEDULE OF FEES 1. Stall Fees $30 per stall, $95.00/EVENT/STALL (THURS-SUN). (Includes one bag shavings. Limit 1 minis per stall.) 2. AMHA Fee Per Horse $3.00 per horse/per Judge. 3. Office Fee $5.00 per horse 4. Judges Evaluation Cards available upon request EARLY ENTRIES-DISCOUNTED FEES 1. The horse/handler must be pre-entered by March 21, 2018 to be eligible for the pay one fee classes. After that date, the fee of $35.00 per open/amateur class applies. CHECKS SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO: Interstate Miniature Horse Club (IMHC) There will be a $35.00 fee on all returned checks 1. Refunds for scratched horses before the pre-entry closing date will be given. 2. Exhibitors canceling their entries after the pre-entry closing date shall forfeit their entry and stall fees. 3. Vet certificate is mandatory for refund of entry money only. 4. There is no refund of stall fees or office fees. SPECIAL NEEDS EXHIBITORS The exhibitors with special needs are welcome to participate. Any special needs classes not listed will be on a case by case basis Special arrangements can be made with show management concerning disabilities or handicapped exhibitors needs. Please contact Jennifer Wachal: (208) at least two weeks prior to show. TACK CHANGES Any exhibitor needing extra time between classes must request a tack change at least 5 classes ahead. They will be allowed an extra five (5) minutes only GATE RULE Once the class is called and the gate is opened to enter the ring, the gate will be closed after 2 minutes has elapsed from the time the first horse/exhibitor enters the ring. Announcer/gate person shall state when the timing of two minutes begins. No refunds will be given for missed classes. Announcements to the barn area are a management courtesy and are not mandatory. ALL GATE HOLDS MUST BE GIVEN TO THE GATE PERSON IN WRITING. WASH AREA Wash animals in designated areas only. Do not wash animals in driveways, stalls or any other area other than wash areas. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN HOSE. PARKING Vehicles and trailers must be parked in designated areas only. NO PARKING IN BARN AREAS/AISLES WILL BE ALLOWED EXCEPT FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING. MEASURMENT No miniature horse may exceed 34 in height. All horses must be measured and qualify for their height and/or age classification to receive an entry number and compete. All measuring will take place on the show grounds in a designated area. NO EXCEPTIONS! Horses will be measured Friday, April 13-5:00p.m to 7:00pm, Saturday April 14-6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday April 15, 2018, 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.. NOTE: All post entries that are entering this show will be required to be on the grounds and be measured at this time. STALLS NO MORE THAN ONE (1) MINIATURE IS ALLOWED PER STALL - STALL CLEANING Place stall cleanings in designated areas. DO NOT PLACE STALL CLEANINGS IN ANY WALKWAYS OR TRASH BARRELS! Contact the Barn Manager for information concerning designated disposal areas/procedures. ABSOLUTLY NO SMOKING IN THE BARN AREAS! No BBQ s or other open flame devices. Cooking or any heat/flame food preparation is not allowed in stall areas. CLASS ENTRIES If lack of entries warrants, show management, with the consent of all contestants involved, will combine only age or height classes as needed. (See CL-015F) NOTE: Effective January 1 st, 2006, classes with 1 or 2 horses will receive ½ point for 1 st place. 5 GENERAL RULES This show is open to any horse registered with the American Miniature Horse Association, Inc. A copy of the front and back of AMHA registration papers must accompany all entry blanks for each horse entered. Weanling foals must have a registration number or an eligibility letter from the AMHA. This Show will be conducted under the 2017 show rules of the American Miniature Horse Association, Inc. CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES Entries will be accepted up to two hours before the class, at a rate of $35.00 per class for horses that have not been pre-entered. Preentries must be post marked by MARCH 21, 2018 (see schedule for fees in this premium). All horses entering the show ring must be the horses as entered for the class on the class office/judging sheet. Any changes must be made in the office using the proper forms (add or drop) to make a change of entry. CONDITION OF ENTRY Every entry for competition will be under the control of the horse show committee and horse show management, but in no way will the show committee or management be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Interstate Miniature Horse Club and the Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre blameless for any loss or accident to a horse/horses, equipment or persons which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise. HEALTH CERTIFICATES AND HAULING PERMITS Out-of-state exhibitors must have in possession a currently valid health certificate issued by a qualified veterinarian certifying that each horse is free from infectious or contagious diseases and such health certificates must be dated within 30 days of the date of hauling. A negative Coggins test, within 12 months, is required from out-of-state exhibitors. YOUTH: No youth twelve (12) years of age or under may show stallions with the exception of weanling and yearling colts. All youth exhibitors must be familiar with the AMHA YOUTH DIVISION show rules and patterns used for judging as explained in the AMHA OFFICIAL RULE BOOK. Include a copy of Youth card in class entry. Youth membership applications will be available in the show office. AMATEUR EXHIBITOR: A person is considered an amateur when he or she is no longer eligible to compete in youth classes and has not engaged in any activities, except as a youth, during the past 5 years which include having accepted remuneration for showing any horse at halter or in performance competition, training, schooling either association judge or horse show association. Must present or apply for amateur card-applications available in the show office. Amateur must own or lease the horse being exhibited and that must be reflected on registration certificate-jointly or by the amateur s family, corporation, ranch or farm. AMATEUR OWNER/TRAINER/EXHIBITOR (AOTE): Must include a copy of Amateur card in class entry. The horse exhibited by the AOTE must be trained, conditioned, groomed and shown by the AOTE or a non-professional family member. Owner or lessee of record must be recorded in the AMHA office by January 1 st of each year of which the horse will be shown by the AOTE. Current year foals, whose dams met the ownership or lease requirements on January 1, may be shown by an AOTE exhibitor who would be eligible to show the dam. The AOTE horse and handler may show in their appropriate Amateur classes. STALLING ASSIGNMENTS Barn and stall assignments will be prioritized with these criteria. 1. Date of receipt of entry. First come, first served basis. 2. Average ratio of # of horses: # of classes entered. For entries to be prioritized they must be FULLY COMPLETED INCLUDING ALL FEES, COPIES AND ATTACHMENTS.
