Rail: Out 3m STEWARDS: J D Walshe (Chairman), B J Gray, T P Moxon & Cadet T McDonald RACE 1: El-Meato Butchery Maiden Plate (Div 1) 1200m Due to a technical issue the digital photo finish camera was unavailable for this race. Invincible Quest Trainer Mr D Williams was told that a warning would be recorded against the colt which was slow to begin and then ran out immediately after resulting in it losing additional ground (4L). Mystic Over-raced in the early and middle stages and passing the 1000m was tightened by Breathing Fire (app B Ryan) which shifted in. App Ryan was advised to exercise more care. Elle Snitz Passing the 1000m when being eased to obtain cover behind Breathing Fire, clipped the heels of that runner and blundered, when that runner shifted out slightly. On return to scale rider B Avdulla reported that his mount travelled well until straightening where the filly failed to respond to his riding. Breathing Fire Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Princess Torio Held up in the early part of the straight. RACE 2: S & K Wilson Plumbing Maiden Plate (Div 1) 1200m Epinician Change of tactics: To be ridden where comfortable; settled mid-field. Held for clear running up until passing the 300m. Essence Prevail Bumped on jumping. Light Of De World Shifted out at the start and bumped Essence Prevail. RACE 3: Park St TAB Sydney Benchmark 65 Handicap 2300m Phoebe Irene Bumped on jumping by Thewayweare which shifted out.

2 Red Dream On return to scale rider J Penza reported that his mount did not appreciate the firm track and also in his view did not run out today s journey. RACE 4: Harris Scarfe Class 2 Handicap 1600m Celtic Kiss Slow to begin. Nachise Shifted out and made contact with the near-side gate. Taken in shortly after the start. Cordon Rouge Over-raced in the middle stages. Passing the 600m made contact with Red Dubawi for several strides due to both runners shifting ground. Tony The Pony Began awkwardly and was then hampered by Nachise which was taken in by Magnator. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, rider R Bensley stated that when the pace quickened from the 600m his mount was left flatfooted and proved disappointing in its failure to run on under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Magnator Near the winning post was eased from the heels of Artistic Beauty which laid out. Red Dubawi Passing the 600m made contact with Cordon Rouge for several strides due to both runners shifting ground. Artistic Beauty Passing the 300m had to be switched to the inside of the heels of Magnator to continue into clear running. RACE 5: Goulburn Mulwaree Council Maiden Handicap 1600m Dashing Bella Following an incident that occurred during transportation resulting in the mare sustaining a large abrasion near hip and bruising and small laceration to the off-side stifle, the mare was examined by the Club s veterinary officer and when found to be unfit to race was a late withdrawal at 2:05pm. Trainer Mr M Conners representing trainer Mr C Conners was told that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare being permitted to race again. Kardomah Boy After interviewing all relevant parties in relation to B Ward being declared on the gelding when he was also declared on Honour The One, Stewards could not satisfy themselves that any one party was culpable for the dual booking, and accepted that it was due to a misunderstanding. J Ford was subsequently declared as the replacement rider of Kardomah Boy. My Foolish Notion As J Kissick was found to be overweight, Stewards permitted J Penza to be substituted as the rider of the mare. At a subsequent inquiry J Kissick was fined $100 (AR120(b).

3 Slingin As rider A Layt was injured, Stewards permitted app J Taylor to be substituted as the rider of the gelding. Crowded on jumping between Novative and Sandy which was taken out by Alfden. Let s Make Magic Slow to begin. Honour The One A post-race veterinary examination of the mare which raced wide throughout revealed the mare to have a poor recovery rate and be lame in its nearforeleg. Trainer Ms L Longmire was told that she would be required to provide a veterinary clearance prior to the mare being permitted to race again. Sandy When questioned rider app J Cartwright stated that passing the 500m his mount felt awkward in its action and was losing ground and as he was of the view that something may have gone amiss with the gelding he did not test it any further. A postrace veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormality other that the presentation of hives. Trainer Mr P Wiggins was told that the gelding would be required to barrier trial to the Stewards satisfaction prior to being permitted to race again. In A Jiffy When questioned regarding the mare racing further forward and leading, rider B Spriggs stated that his instructions were to attempt to be mid-field however when his mount began particularly well he then anticipated obtaining a position to be handy, but when trapped wide he was obliged to push forward to obtain a position closer to the rail and consequently led. Seagrove Near the 1100m was eased from the heels of In A Jiffy (B Spriggs) which shifted in when not quite clear. B Spriggs was told to exercise more care. RACE 6: TAB Saddle Up Sunday Benchmark 60 Handicap 1200m Lighthouse Change of tactics: To be ridden quieter; settled mid-field. Passing the 300m ran in away from Slick Speed and became briefly held up behind Superb. Amoret App R Hunt was dislodged in the mounting enclosure when her mount took fright, however the fall was harmless and app Hunt did not require the attention of the ambulance officers. Bang Bang Was a late withdrawal at 3:49pm after refusing to be loaded. Stewards ordered that all investments on Bang Bang be refunded in full and further that all successful bets with bookmakers placed prior to 3:49pm be subject to the following deductions in the dollar on the face value of the ticket: 1 st : Shutter bug: 15c win and 10c place. 2 nd : Goodlookin rooster: 15c place. 3 rd : Normandy lad: 15c place.

RACE 7: Emirates Park / Guy Walter F & M Benchmark 70 Handicap 1300m Ashjata Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. High Harmony Slow to begin (2L). Floral Gold When questioned regarding the performance of the mare, rider B Spriggs stated that his mount had raced flat. Trainer Mr S Hood expressed some disappointment with the performance of the mare but advised that she would now be transferred from his stable. RACE 8: David Alt Electrical Goulburn Cup 1600m Pythagorean When questioned rider C Lever stated that his instructions were to be positive. He added after taking up a forward position near the 1200m when Moral Victory crossed to position to his outside, his mount, which was racing in blinkers, a norton bit and a tongue-tie, commenced to over-race and got its head up. He added that after making initial effort to restrain his mount, when the gelding did not respond, rather than fight the gelding he elected to attempt to keep the gelding comfortable although he was aware that the gelding was setting a fast tempo throughout the early and middle stages. He added as a consequence the gelding subsequently weakened in the straight. Stable representative Mr S Page confirmed the instructions. Stewards accepted the explanation offered by rider C Lever. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering a case of the thumps. Cheeky Devil On straightening had some difficulty forcing a run between Pythagorean and Moral Victory.

5 RACE 9: Hypercet Printing Class 1 Handicap 1400m Jungle Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. That s Ridiculous Slow to begin. Sigismund Slow to begin. Born Superstar Slow to begin. Where s Scotty Passing the 1200m was restrained from the heels of Tiger By The Tale (J Ford) which shifted in when not clear. J Ford was reprimanded (AR137(a)). Tiger By The Tale Laid in passing the 200m. Bar No Curls Passing the 150m was briefly eased from the heels of Star Postman (B Avdulla) which shifted out when not quite clear. B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care. Agrionus After the 150m was eased from the heels of Sigismund (P Wells) which shifted out when not quite clear. P Wells was advised to exercise more care. Stratum s Siren Passing the 100m was steadied when tightened for room between Makuru which laid in and Star Postman (B Avdulla) which shifted out when not quite clear.
