Only those competitors registered in that class are permitted in the warm-up. Competitors that are in a warm-up where they are not entered in the immediately following class will may be subject to a monetary fine as determined by the show manager. SHOW MANAGEMENT 1. Any concerns must be directed to the NRHA Show Managers attention and NOT the Show Committee/ Executive. 2. No mistreatment or abuse of a horse will be tolerated 3. All competitors and spectators must conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner at all times. 4. Show Managers decisions will be final and binding PARKING 1. RV/Trailer hook-ups are not available at the Prince George Agriplex. However, there are limited external plug-ins available on the exterior of the main arena and millennium barn. Electrical cords are not to be across road ways that will require vehicles to drive over the electrical codes. Electrical cords are also not to be near or in the vicinity of any water access. The Show Manager reserves the right to unplug electrical cords that breach these requirements with no notice to the RV/Trailer owner. 2. Priority parking in the rear of the Prince George Agriplex will be for competitors that are hauling in from out of area or will be camping overnight. Daily haul in competitors can park in this location based on availability. Please ensure to park in a way that supports the to accommodate as many competitors as possible. In the event that parking is limited in this location, parking is available at the front of the facility. ANIMAL CONTROL 1. Dogs are to remain on leash and must be kept under control at all times. Please clean up after your dog and respect signs restricting access to outdoor areas and green spaces. The Show Manager reserves the right to have a dog removed from the show facility that is causing potential danger or disruption to the Northern BC Ride N Slide and their competitors

3 GENERAL INFORMATION The Prince George Reining Horse Association reserves the right to cancel, transfer or reschedule the show and/ or classes without notice or liability. In the event of cancellation of the show and/or classes by the all entry fees will be refunded. Inhumane treatment of horses will be grounds for disqualification, as will abusive treatment of officials and fellow competitors. CLASSES 1. All classes may be ridden 1 or 2 handed in any legal NRHA headgear unless designated. The rider may not switch between 1 and 2 hands during any class. NO RUNNING MARTINGALES ALLOWED EXCEPT IN THE BEGINNER NON-PRO CLASS. 2. membership is not required to show at shows 3. reserves the right to use alternate judges for classes. 4. All payouts in classes will be made in accordance with NRHA rules. 5. Copies of the modified patterns can be found on the website at 6. Non-Pro criteria is the same as the most current rules of the NRHA with the exception of the Open classes where a Non-Pro may ride any horse regardless of ownership. 7. class ties will not be run off. and placing will be determined by a coin toss. 8. Bit checks in classes will be done randomly, at the discretion of the judge NRHA CLASSES 1. All NRHA classes will follow the current NRHA Handbook. For copies of these rules please visit or contact the NRHA representative for information. 2. NRHA trophies and plaques will be awarded in all NRHA classes SHOW OFFICE & ENTRIES 1. All cheques are to be made payable to: Prince George Reining Horse Association or. 2. Altered entry forms will not be processed and will be returned to the sender. 3. Post entries will be accepted up to 1 hour before the class begins. The show secretary will determine when 1 hour has arrived. Their decision will be final in this regard. 4. A $50.00 charge will be charged for all NSF cheques. 5. The show committee reserves the right to retain up to 50% of entry fees. 6. NRHA membership and Non-Pro declaration forms will be available at the show office. 7. Copies of current NRHA memberships and competition licences must accompany all entries when entering NRHA classes. 8. If only entering youth classes, the office fee will be waived. REFUNDS 1. Scratches accompanied with a vet certificate and received 5 days prior to the start of the show will receive their stalls fees as a refund. No other refunds will be given. Substitutions of horses or riders will be accepted with a vet or doctor note and a $25.00 substitution fee.

13 2018 Ranch Riding BEGINNER $200 Added NON PRO-$300 Added OPEN $500 Added JUDGE: Rhonda Miller SCRIBE: Pam Morrison Ranch Riding Rules Returning to the Northern BC Ride and Slide Show Bill for 2018 will be Ranch Riding. The classes will consist of $200 added to Beginner, $300 added to Non Pro and $500 added to the Open. Payout will be made as per NRHA payout Schedule A. Ranch Riding will be subject to the $40.00 office fee if you haven t entered your horse in any of the 2018 Classes for the weekend. CLASS CRITERIA AND PATTERN NUMBERS 1. BEGINNER is open to any rider who has not placed in the top three of any class in any discipline as of January Lope and lead change will not be required. Horse may be shown only once per class. Riders may show up to three horses. Beginner Ranch Riding Pattern will be posted on 2. NON PRO as per NRHA rules. Horses may be shown once per class. Riders may show up to three horses. Horses will be required to execute the walk, trot, extended trot, lope, extended lope, stop, back, spin, side pass, walk/trot poles and flying or simple lead change. 14 2018 Cowboy Challenge Sponsored by Crossroads Ranch Howard & Myrna Thiessen Cowboy Challenge Rules Returning to the Northern BC Ride & Slide Show Bill for 2018 will be the Cowboy Challenge. The Cowboy Challenge will be subject to the $40.00 office fee if you haven t entered your horse in any of the 2018 Classes for the weekend, in addition to the video fee of $10.00 as this event will be live streamed and HD2 will be onsite to take competitor action and win photos. CLASS CRITERIA AND PATTERN NUMBERS 1. YOUTH youth classes will run first and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place 2. BEGINNER beginner classes will be jackpotted and payouts will be made as per NRHA pay schedule. The beginner class is open to any rider who has not placed in any type of Cowboy Challenge Competition or trail type class 3. ADVANCED advanced classes will be jackpotted and payouts will be made as per NRHA pay schedule. The advanced class is open to any horse/rider combination Horses may be ridden one or two handed in all legal headgear.
