4 RULES & REGULATIONS 1. Every class herein is covered by the rules and specifica ons of the current USEF and MHSA Rule Books and will be judged in accordance therewith. Zone III specifica ons are at 2. The management reserves the right to decline to receive any entry, or to return any entry fees before or during the show, without being liable for damages. Exhibitors are no fied that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to Judges or officials on the part of the owner, rider, trainer or groom shall disqualify the entry and the owner shall forfeit entry and other fees. See Rule GR Entries Close July 29, Post Entries will be accepted if me and space permits for a fee of $ Entries must be made on the official show entry blank, and include all required informa on and signatures. All fees must be paid and entry completed before numbers can be issued. Membership and measurement cards, where applicable, must be presented. Horses/ponies not having current measurement cards will be measured at the show. 5. Exhibitors shall be responsible for the entry fees of all horses entered by them or their agents even though the payment of those fees are not submi ed with the entry blanks. There will be no refund of stabling fees. 6. All entries will be charged a $25 office fee. 7. Every horse entered will be charged a USEF Federa on Fee of $16 ($8 D/M + $8 USEF fee) 8. Horses scratched a er the close of entries will be charged a $30 scratch fee. Stall fees are not refundable. 9. Temporary stalls with a ached doors will be available at $150 for the en re show, $100 for one day/ night. Ini al bedding will not be provided. Shavings available at $8.50 per bag. 10. All accounts must be se led in full at the show. A fee of $50 or 10% whichever is greater will be charged for any returned checks. 11. Unpaid entries will be forwarded to USEF per Chapter 9, GR In the event of cancella on of classes due to severe weather or other emergency, the compe on will refund entry fees at the request of the exhibitor within 30 days of the cancella on. 13. Proof of a nega ve Coggins test taken within one year must accompany each entry. 14. All horses compe ng in Federa on non-breed restricted licensed compe ons with hunter, hunter breeding, jumper and hunter seat equita on classes must be properly iden fied and must obtain a Registra on number from the USHJA. 15. Prize money will be paid in the show office by credit to the horse s account. Prize money in excess of entry fees will be paid to the owner of record by check within 30 days of the show. 16. The management, Equestrian Sports and Promo ons, Inc., and McDonogh School, will not be responsible for any accident which may occur to any exhibitor, owner, a endant, horse or equipment at the show. 17. All riders must wear properly fastened USEF approved headgear at all mes while mounted on the show grounds 18. Eight ribbons will be awarded in all rated Hunter and Equita on classes unless specified otherwise. 19. Should any ques ons or disputes arise that are not provided for in the rules, the same shall be referred to the management whose decision shall be final. 20. Management may fine exhibitors up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. 21. Dogs must be kept on leashes at all mes when on the show grounds. Fines will be imposed for damage or interference caused by your dog. 22. Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permi ed to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm u lity vehicles on the compe on grounds of recognized compe ons. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as parent or guardian of a minor opera ng a motorized vehicle in viola on of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, or ac ons resul ng from that opera on. Viola ons of this rule will be cause for sanc ons against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child commi ng the offense. Penal es may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the compe on grounds for the remainder of the compe on and charges being filed by any of the above individuals in accordance with Rule 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabili es are exempt from this rule. 23. Schooling is permi ed in show rings un l 7:30 AM, and upon comple on of scheduled classes. 24. Three entries are required to fill a performance class unless otherwise specified, or the class may declared void at the discre on of the commi ee. The commi ee reserves the right to cancel or combine any classes as deemed necessary. 25. Hunter championship and reserve champion will be awarded to 2 of the top 4 horses receiving the most points O/F. Only these 4 horses will receive full points in U/S classes, and ½ points in model classes towards the championship. All classes offered will be worth full points except model classes. 26. 5 USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior ac ve and junior ac ve members shall be eligible to par cipate in all classes at Regular Compe ons, Even ng Compe ons at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Compe ons at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaul ng Compe ons and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may par cipate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Compe ons, Even ng Compe ons, Dressage Compe ons, Reining Compe ons and Combined Driving Compe ons upon payment of a $30 nonmember registra on fee. Par cipants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibi ons; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Compe ons. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) ci zens of other na ons who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own Na onal Federa on, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. 6 EQUITATION CLASSES A Zone Stirrup Cup Final is designed to reward participants in the USHJA Zone Stirrup Cup Program by providing them with the opportunity to earn bonus points in various sections at a competition that the Zone Committee and USHJA has deemed worthy of this award. competition in a given Zone based upon the recommendation of the applicable Zone Committee, subject to the approval of the placing the class a second time including only those who are Zone members. These second set of results must be submitted to awarded for each class. If the competition charges exhibitors an extra fee to compete in the Zone Finals, a minimum of 3 exhibitors, who have paid the extra fee, must be included on the Zone Finals results in order for the Zone Finals bonus points to be awarded.
