In Hand WORLD CONQUERORS CHAMPIONSHIP 1st and 2nd from Classes 1-8 STAR SEEKER OPEN MINIATURE HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER Classes To be eligible to compete in the Open Classes, horses must not have been placed 1st-5th at the Horse of the Year Show or 1st-2nd at the Royal International Horse Show. These classes are open to all Miniature horse regardless of registration, and owners and handlers do not need to be members of the BMHS. The winners in each of the Star Seeker classes together with the highest placed unregistered horse in each of the three classes will qualify for the Championship classes at the BMHS Breed Show 2017, provided that the owner and handler of the horse becomes a member of the BMHS within 28 days of the show. The winners of the three sections for unregistered horses at the Breed Show, together with the overall Champion at the Breed Show will, subject to vetting, be eligible for the BMHS Stud Book and will qualify for the RIHS 2018 in its appropriate class. Horses will not be measured when attending the Championship classes at the BMHS Breed Show. All horses put forward for the Championship must be under the BMHS Maxi height of 92 cms and only those conforming to BMHS Standard Height of 87 cms are eligible for registration into the Stud Book and eligible to compete at the Royal International Horse Show st-3rd qualify for MHCGB Grand Championship Show 2017 at Oakley Arena, Newark. TRADITIONAL GYPSY COB CHAMPIONSHIP QUEST FOR A STAR CHAMPIONSHIP The 1st, 2nd and 3rd from TGCA classes may go forward to the Quest for a Star Championship, PROVIDED they are current TGCA members and the horse is registered. Membership cards and qualification cards (specific to the exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star Championships at TOYS. WORCESTER RING B 8.30 AM VETERANS HORSE SOCIETY CLASSES Direct qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final: VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2017 Kindly Sponsored by Allen & Page. Open to members and non-members purchasing day membership for this show. Day membership must be purchased from VHS head office in advance of the show, at a cost of 15. A day membership card and age badge will be provided. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. Members and day members must carry their current VHS membership card in the ring and produce these on request no exceptions will be made. VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 1st to 4th in each class will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals. Members and Day-members will have their showing card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification. Day-members must become full VHS members within 14 days and exchange their day-showing card for a full showing card in order to validate their Regional Final qualification. Regional Finals are open to members only. VHS Supreme Final qualification. Competitors placed 1st and 2nd in each class will also qualify directly for the corresponding class at the VHS Supreme Final, to be held at the National Veteran Open Championships, Arena UK, Lincolnshire, 29th September 1st October If the competitor has already qualified or does not wish to attend, they must refuse the qualification and pass it down the line on the day. Day members must become full VHS members in order to enter the Supreme Final. 6

8 COLOURED HORSE/PONY CLASSES CHAPS Not before AM "This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation No Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. This show will count as a 2017 qualifier. Date of Championship Show to be confirmed. Please ensure you have 2017 qualifier card. Applications for these can be made to CHAPS Admin office from Mid August. 17 H.O.P.E. RULES AND AFFILIATIONS 1. The Promoters, Organisers, Committee and Landowners ( The Committee) shall not be liable for any claim in respect of any damage to any person, horse or other property of any land howsoever it may have been caused. It is an express condition of entry, that each competitor shall hold the Committee harmless and that he or she shall indemnity the Committee against any legal proceedings, actions, expenses, costs, claims, demands or damage whatsoever arising from any accident or other incident which may occur. 2. All vehicles parked at their owners risk. 3. Entries to be accompanied by the appropriate fee and will not be acknowledged unless an SAE is enclosed. Numbers to be collected from the Secretary on the day. 4. No refund of entry fee unless the Show has to be cancelled for any reason. Should this be deemed necessary, the Organisers reserve the right to retain up to 50% of any entry fee paid to cover pre-show expenses. 5. The Judges decision is final. 6. Any objection must be handed to the Secretary in writing within 10 minutes of the alleged incident accompanied by a 25 deposit which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld. 7. No unauthorised person allowed in the Show ring. 8. Hard hats must be worn at all times when mounted and by Young Handlers. 9. No galloping allowed on the Show ground. This includes the parking areas. 10. All dogs must be kept on leads Foals must be at least four weeks old and accompany their dams into the Showing ring. 12. All stallions and colts SHOULD be adequately bitted. Yearling colts may be led from the nose band with a bit in the mouth. 13. Spurs at all times must be of blunt, smooth metal, no rowels, shanks pointing only towards the rear, curved downwards and must be no more than 3.5 cm long. 14. It is recommended that all entries have been inoculated against equine influenza. TSR Showing Finals- This show is a qualifier for the 2017 TSR Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, Norht West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West ot Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter horse/pony in any number of Finals. TSR Riders Finals 1st and 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR In Hand Finals The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Cardwill qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers must have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward. 18 National Pony Society Affiliation Rules 2017 Affiliation Number S NPS Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible for Mountain and Moorland Classes. To compete in Show Pony and Show Hunter Pony classes, ponies must be registered in the NPS Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB, the GSB, the AHSB, the AASB or in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible unless entered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members, but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 1st -3rd August The highest placed pony, if owned by a NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. NPS Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in NPS Rule Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS summer Championship Show. Ponies must be named on the entry form and in the catalogue if one is produced. Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the Society or eligible for registration (i.e. foals) 2. Three year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the Show. 3. There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handlers classes. Children under 14 yrs old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-hand classes. Children under 12 yrs old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interests of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 yrs or under in In-hand classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age, in ridden classes. In ridden Classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part. Rules ii

19 EQUIFEST The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the relevant Equifest Championship to be held at the East of England Showground on 9th-13th August Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA) Show Number TGCA/06/17/070 These classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association s (TGCA) National Breed Championship Show TOYS. Classes are open to all traditional gypsy cobs. Top three in each class qualify. In open height classes, top three in small and large sections qualify. Stallions- All stallions (four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class, must be licensed with the TGCA prior to the show AND have their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their bridle. Existing TGCA members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Non members will receive a qualification card from the judge and will have 21 days to join the TGCA and to register their horse in order to validate the qualification. Please refer to tgca.co.uk for further details including membership, horse registration and showing rules (contained within the members handbook). Quest Championship Shows The 1st, 2nd and 3rd from TGCA classes may go forward to the Quest for a Star Championship, PROVIDED they are current TGCA members and the horse is registered. Membership cards and qualification cards (specific to the exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star Championships at TOYS. RoR Amateur Definition 2017: An amateur is a person who for the purposes of RoR classes does not/has not during the current season or previous season: Engage(d) in breeding, livery, buying or selling, dealing or hiring horses (for the show ring) in a commercial capacity. Horses must not have been stabled at or reside in a Professional Producer s/trainer s yard (in the current season or previous season). Riders must not have ridden any animals produced in a Professional/Trainer in the current or previous season. Horse and riders must not have received any help from a Professional/Trainer at a SHOW in the current or previous season. Horses must not have been ridden at a show by a rider who has ridden for a Professional/Trainer in the current or previous season. Any breaches of this ruling will be taken seriously and will result in disqualification from future classes. The Show Committee reserves the right to change Judges, without prior warning, and to divide, cancel or amalgamate classes if deemed necessary. Rules iii

20 THE ORGANISERS OF THIS SHOW HAVE TAKEN REASONABLE PRECAUTIONS TO ENSURE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF EVERYONE PRESENT. FOR THESE MEASURES TO BE EFFECTIVE EVERYONE MUST TAKE ALL REASONABLE PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID AND PREVENT ACCIDENTS OCCURRING AND MUST OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE ORGANISERS, ALL OFFICIALS AND STEWARDS.
