M&M ponies which are either stabled at home or in a DIY yard and which since 1st Jan. in the current year have not been shown by a producer or stabled in a producers yardother than on a DIY basis or at stud. To be owned /kept, produced, ridden/handled by a person who does not derive their main income from working with horse/ponies. No professional producers are allowed into the ring to groom/strip the horse/pony. Please see NPS 2018 Rule Book, Section A, 3.6. Please enter this class in the spirit it is intended. Competitors who contravene the above will be disqualified. Class 3 Small Breeds, stallions, mares, and geldings any age Class 4 Large Breeds, stallion, mares and geldings any age H.O.P.E. Champion to receive a free entry for the 2000 Ultimate Showcase of Champions Class at the Showcase of Champions Show, Keysoe 19th-21st July NPS/KILMANNAN STUD M&M IN HAND SILVER MEDAL IN HAND CHAMPIONSHIP A silver medal rosette is offered by the NPS for the best registered pony owned by an NPS qualifying or life member in the M&M In Hand section. The sponsors rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the qualification. Ponies shown in these classes mus be produced and shown by the owner/spouse, or his/her immediate family, who does not derive income from working with ponies or horses. See NPS 2018 Rule Book. CHAMPIONSHIP 1st and 2nd Classes The NPS/PICTON STUD M&M Novice Ridden National Championship (MM-NR) Open to pure bred registered M&M stallions, mares and geldings four years old or over. A pony is not eligible to compete if, before 1st January in the current year, it has done any of the following: i.won an open NPS affiliated mixed M&M Ridden class ii.qualified for Horse of the Year Show, Olympia or RIHS Open M&M Ridden classes iii.qualified for the M&M Novice or Intermediate Ridden final at the NPS Summer Championship show (N.B. Ponies can compete as novices in this competition for two consecutive years provided they do not submit an entry to the final in the first year). iv.if a pony qualifies for Horse of the Year Show, Olympia or RIHS in its second year it is immediately de-noviced and cannot compete in the Picton Final. 7 RING 2 Commencing at 8.30 AM WORLD BREED CLASSES Classes 30-33, 35 are a qualifier for the 2018 FBS Championship Show and will be judged under FBS English Rules- details from: foreignbreeds.org British Appaloosa Society Certificate of Merit will be awarded to the highest place BApS member with a BApS registered horse. Membership cards must be shown to claim your award. 8 RING 2 (Continued) VETERANS HORSE SOCIETY- AREA QUALIFIER Not Before AM First round qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2018 Kindly Sponsored by Allen & Page. Open to members and non-members. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 1st to 4th in each Area Qualifier class will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals. Members must carry their card in the ring at all times and have their showing card signed by the judge as proof of qualification. Non-members will receive a red qualification card which can be exchanged for signed showing card when applying for VHS membership. It is the competitors responsibility to present their Showing card to the judge.regional Finals are open to members only. 9 RING 2 (Continued TRADITIONAL GYPSY COB ASSOCIATION CLASSES Not Before PM TGCA QUALIFYING CLASS SECTION - PURE BRED TRADITIONAL GYPSY COBS All classes are open to all pure bred traditional gypsy cobs, which are of any colour and meet the TGCA breed standard. TGCA Class 44 Youngstock Open to fillies colts and geldings aged 1, 2 and 3 Years old Class 45 In Hand Senior Open to mares, stallions and geldings aged 4 years and over, any height. Class 46 Ridden Open to mares, stallions and geldings aged 4 years and over. Any height but may be divided if numbers of entries warrant it. Quest for a Star Pure Bred Traditional Gypsy Cobs Championship 1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA pure bred classes may go forward to the Quest for a Star Championship, provided they are current TGCA members and the horse is TGCA registered. Membership cards and qualification cards (specific to that exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star Championships at TOYS. TGCA QUALIFYING CLASS SECTION- PART BRED TRADITIONAL GYPSY COBS All classes are open to all part bred traditional gypsy cobs, which are of any colour and one parent must be a pure bred traditional gypsy cob. Minimum 50% part breds are accepted. Class 47 Youngstock Open to fillies colts and geldings aged 1, 2 and 3 Years old Class 48 In Hand SeniorOpen to mares, stallions and geldings aged 4 years and over, any height. For 2018 and 2019 TOYS qualifiers, the handler/rider and exhibits (apart from stallions) do not have to be TGCA members/registered on the date of the show. All horse exhibited in BApS affiliated classes must be owned by a fully paid-up member of BApS, and registered as follows: All horses MUST be registered in either the Main Register, Annex or Part Bred. NO entry will be accepted unless it meets this criteria. Class 50 Appaloosa Ridden (Main and Part Bred Register) Stallion, Mare or Gelding. 4 years old and over. 11 RING 3 Commencing 8.30 AM COLOURED HORSE/PONY CLASSES CHAPS "This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation No Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. This show will count as a 2018 qualifier. Date of Championship Show to be confirmed. Please ensure you have 2018 qualifier card. Applications for these can be made to CHAPS Admin office from Mid August. The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers [Show Secretary to insert class numbers]. For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK) Members' Handbook; or visit for rulings. All stallions, 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). All stallions must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring without exception. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required but the judge may ask groups of three or four riders to give short displays. 21 H.O.P.E. RULES AND AFFILIATIONS 1. The Promoters, Organisers, Committee and Landowners ( The Committee) shall not be liable for any claim in respect of any damage to any person, horse or other property of any land howsoever it may have been caused. It is an express condition of entry, that each competitor shall hold the Committee harmless and that he or she shall indemnity the Committee against any legal proceedings, actions, expenses, costs, claims, demands or damage whatsoever arising from any accident or other incident which may occur. 2. All vehicles parked at their owners risk. 3. Entries to be accompanied by the appropriate fee and will not be acknowledged unless an SAE is enclosed. Numbers to be collected from the Secretary on the day. 4. No refund of entry fee unless the Show has to be cancelled for any reason. Should this be deemed necessary, the Organisers reserve the right to retain up to 50% of any entry fee paid to cover pre-show expenses. 5. The Judges decision is final. 6. Any objection must be handed to the Secretary in writing within 10 minutes of the alleged incident accompanied by a 25 deposit which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld. 7. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible for Mountain and Moorland Classes. To compete in Show Pony and Show Hunter Pony classes, ponies must be registered in the NPS Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB, the GSB, the AHSB, the AASB or in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. 23 Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA) Show Number TGCA/06/18/076 TGCA TOYS In Hand and Ridden Classes Pure Bred classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association's (TGCA) National Breed Championship Show TOYS.Classes are open to all pure bred traditional gypsy cobs. Part Bred classes, are open to all part bred traditional gypsy cobs and are qualifiers for the part bred finals at TOYS. The exhibit must have one parent that is pure bred traditional gypsy cob, a minimum of 50% breeding is accepted. Stallions All stallions (pure or part bred, four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class MUST have be TGCA registered, have passed TGCA evaluations and their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their bridle Stallions and colts over the age of two, MUST be shown in a stallion bridle with a metal bit and chain lead as per the current TGCA rulebook. Existing TGCA members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Nonmembers will receive a qualification card from the judge and have 21 days to join the TGCA and register their horse to validate the qualification. Please refer to further details including membership, horse registration and showing rules (contained within the members handbook). Championship Shows 1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA classes may go forward to the Quest for a Star Championship,provided they are current TGCA members and the horse is TGCA registered. Membership cards and qualification cards (specific to that exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star Championships at TOYS. Part Breds go forward to the Go for Glory Championship, for 2018 and 2019 qualifiers there is no requirement for membership or registration (apart from stallions) on the date of the show. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Crowning Glory Championships at TOYS RoR Amateur Definition 2018: An amateur is a person who for the purposes of RoR classes does not/has not during the current season or previous season: Engage(d) in breeding, livery, buying or selling, dealing or hiring horses (for the show ring) in a commercial capacity. Horses must not have been stabled at or reside in a Professional Producer s/trainer s yard (in the current season or previous season). Riders must not have ridden any animals produced in a Professional/Trainer in the current or previous season. Horse and riders must not have received any help from a Professional/Trainer at a SHOW in the current or previous season. Horses must not have been ridden at a show by a rider who has ridden for a Professional/Trainer in the current or previous season. Any breaches of this ruling will be taken seriously and will result in disqualification from future classes. Veteran Horse Society AREA QUALIFIER First round qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final: VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2018 Kindly Sponsored by Allen & Page. Open to members and non-members. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 1st to 4th in each Area Qualifier class will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals. Members must have their showing card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification. Non-members will receive a red qualification card which can be exchanged for signed showing card when applying for VHS membership. Regional Finals are open to members only. Young Rider Championship qualification. A Young Rider rosette and qualification will be awarded to the young rider of the Judge s choice, entitling them to enter the Young Rider Championship at the National Veteran Open Championships. This award is given at the Judge s discretion. All competitors are eligible to enter open classes at the National Veteran Open Championships, 28th-30th September No qualification or membership necessary. See VHS website for schedule.
