1 Dear Riders, Grooms and Horse Owners It s a great pleasure to welcome you to the 1st edition of Norwegian Horse Festival 20th-24th of February, The interest for the show is remarkable and we are really looking forward to welcome you all. In this letter we hope you will find relevant information, but please don t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Pre arrival: - Please check the link to see that we have the correct information about the rider, horses and the horse owners. If there is any mistakes please contact siri@walber.no - Electricity for your truck MUST be ordered either through your Federation or directly to siri@walber.no - If you need help with booking of the ferry and/or hotel - please send an to siri@walber.no Because of the outbreak of the equine influenza, FEI obliges us to do some preventive action. - All horses must be examined on arrival for symptoms. - All passports need to be checked before unloading the horses. Horses with incorrect vaccinations will not be permitted to the show ground. Please ensure that you have the right vaccinations before your arrival. - We also need information about your arrival, so all riders must fill out the following link as soon as possible. This gives us the possibility to give you as good service as possible when you arrive, and make sure we have veterinarians available. There are also some questions for the speaker and the press manager. (leads to a google form) - We will sell hay and shavings on the showground, but additional food to your horse must be pre-ordered before February 17 th, by mail to: post@spillers.no The food will be delivered on the showground. - All international horses will be stabled indoor, in Arena E. The floor is covered with rubber, so no studs are allowed on the horses inside the stables. If anyone still wants to have studs, an MUST be sent to eirik@walber.no for placement in different boxes. 1

2 Route: From Oslo: Leave E6 at Karihaugen, take rv. 159 to Lillestrøm. Turn right at the second roundabout after the tunnel Rælingstunnelen. From Trondheim: Leave E6 at Skedsmokorset, take rv.120, then rv. 22 towards Fetsund, and finally rv. 159 to the exhibition centre. If you drive with a GPS use this address: Messeveien 8, 2004 Lillestrøm Arrival and parking With Horses: Follow the sign Horses. When you arrive at Messeveien 8. you will reach an 24/7 operated guard post. Monday, February 18: The stables opens at 18:00 and closes 24:00 Thuesday, February 19: The stables opens at 06:30 and closes 23:00 If you need to arrive after closing time, please let us know by filling in the form: 2Gw8qMA - At arrival the veterinarian will check the horses and the passport. Our service team will help you as quick as possible to empty and clean your trucks, so it can be moved from the load/ unload deck to the parking as quick as possible. This is to avoid any unnecessary waiting for the arrivals. Stables When you arrive, your horse is already assigned to a specific box. Please use the box you are given. If you have any special needs regarding the stalling of your horse, please send an to lk_@hotmail.com before February 15. Accreditation The accreditation will be open on Tuesday from 08:00. The stables will be closed for non accreditation from Tuesday at 15:00 Arena times: N.B. These times can be changed! Because of the rigging of the exhibition area, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, please take precautions, and be careful walking between the stables and the warm up area. 2

5 GROOMS Dear Grooms. You are the engine behind the scene, and we appricate the job you re doing. We want to invite you for free breakfast every morning from Wednesday to Sunday from 07:00-09:00. This will be in Messaninen (2nd Floor in Hall D). We also want to award the three best grooms with a cash prize: 5000 NOK, 3000 NOK and 2000 NOK. There will be three retired grooms who undercover will find and range the best grooms out from three different measures. - Order, cleanness and presentable stables and horses - Horsemanship - Positivity Prize giving Sunday before Grand Prix CSI3*. HORSE OWNERS No horse owners, no horse sport, no Norwegian Horse Festival We want horse owers to feel how much we appriciate them, so during the show you will get following: - Access to Owners/Riders Lounge with free coffee/snack on 2 nd floor between Hall C and Hall D (marked V.I.P) - We also want to invite the owners to the prize giving ceremony for top 3 ranked horses in every class. - We also want to send all owners a picture from the ceremonies where they attended. Please make sure that the correct owners are mentioned in the passport for the horse. Give the accreditation information if the horse owners are present at the show, and give them their contact information. 5
