Invitation letter Bucharest, April 3 rd, 2013 Dear Branches, On behalf of The New International Karate Organization and The Romanian Federation of Martial Arts, I have the privilege to welcome you to the official World Championship of Ashihara Karate, 2013 edition. This championship is a good opportunity for all the participating countries to develop a new Ashihara Karate level. This tournament,like those of 2011 and 2012, will host kumite event for childrens, cadets and juniors years of birth , and , and also Kata Tournament!!! Taking into consideration that this championship has a lot of competing categories, I hope you will find yourself in one of them and you will be interested to participate in. 4 General information The World Championship of Ashihara Karate is an excellent chance for the top fighters from different countries to meet in a high level competition. As well as the championship gives a great opportunity to develop the judging skills and in order to the judgment to be objective, you are allowed to participate in judging. (Please find an application form for judges and referees below). Please take along with you the flag of your country and the CD with a national anthem. Thank you in advance! Finally I call upon the visa applying countries to have their applications sorted out in proper time. Due to the international situation, all the restrictions for visa applying delegation members take time. This event will be live broadcasted on the Internet! 1. Goals and objectives Development and promotion of Ashihara Karate in the world; Exchange of experience; The mental and physical development of young fighters and the fighter s mastership level enhancement; Development of judging skills; Strengthening of friendship between athletes and branches; World development of a Kata tournament; Introducing the young fighters in the competition of a World Championship. 2. Requirement for the participants In the championship can enroll members of branches, officially affiliated with the New International Karate Organization, NIKO, or by invitation, which will fulfill the official rules of the World Championship of Ashihara Karate Every participant admitted to take part in the tournament must have: The official medical permission (from the doctor of the country who he represents); Insurance policy. 6 5. Rules The official rules will be send in short time to all participants for this event. Every participant must have: Clean white dogi with a belt, corresponding to the rank; Groin guard for men; Breast and groin guards for women; Shin protectors; Tooth protectors; Head protection and vests(for cadets) Parent s permission(for participants under the age of 18)-you will find a model in the attachment Medical check and medical ensurance from their own countries THE FIGHTERS WHO ARE PARTICIPATING AT THIS CHAMPIONSHIP MAY BE SUBJECTED TO A DOPING TEST. 6. Admission fees Fighter s, branche s, leader s and referee s fee: 250 Euro. Allowing access for 1 fighter to compete at the World Championship, entrance to branch meetings for branches,referees meetings, entrance to the Sayonara banquet, and accommodation for 4 nights at a first class hotel (4****)with breakfast. Supporter s fee: 250 Euro. Allowing access for non-fighting members of your delegation with entrance to the tournament hall, entrance to the Sayonara banquet and accommodation for 4 nights at a first class hotel (4****)with breakfast All fees must be paid in advance to make the enrolment valid. If you want your stay to be longer than the period proposed, you have to bear the additional costs (accommodation and breakfast costs 35 euro/day). The accommodation, breakfast and Sayonara party will be held in our beautiful first class Rin Grand Hotel. Scheduling Page 6 of 8

7 1. Deadline The deadline for enrolment is 1 st of October 2013 IMPORTANT Untill 1 st of August we need a preenrolment from every team who decide to participate at this event (aproximative one). It is very important for booking the hotel, and to make all proper arrangements for this tournament! RNCBROBU. 2. Agenda Wednesday 30 th of October 2013 Arrival point: Rin Grand Hotel, Bucharest, Romania. ( ) For those who travel with their own cars/minibuses, the place where they have to arrive is Rin Grand Hotel,7D Vitan- Barzesti street, Bucharest Romania. For those who travel by plane, they will meet our contact person at the airport and they will be transported to the accommodation place Rin Grand Hotel. Please remember to inform us about your time of arrival, so we can plan for transportation. On arrival at the Rin Grand Hotel, Bucharest, each member of the delegations will be issued with an ID-card. A branch chief parcel with final Page 7 of 8

8 time schedule, city map and last minutes briefing etc. will be handed over to each delegation. Thursday 31 th of October 2013 Briefing day and day of medical check, weight control and congress. There will be both a medical and weight control check of all enlisted fighters from approx 8 o clock until 12 o clock. Branches arriving later will be weighed in upon arrival. In the afternoon there will be a thorough briefing of the tournament procedures and rules with sufficient time for translations and questions. Drawing of lots amongst the enlisted and approved fighters will be carried out in public. A congress ( 1 st branch chief meeting) for the various branch chiefs will take place in the evening. Friday 1 st of November st day of The World Championship. In this 1 st day it is going to be held the Kata tournament as well as the Kumite Cadets Category. The day will be over with the premiere of these categories. Saturday 2 nd of November 2013 The 2 nd day of The World Championship. In this day we will participate to a great demonstration of skills from behalf of the Senior fighters. After the finals in the late evening, we will all celebrate at a party banquet Sayonara Party during most of the night. Sunday 3 rd of November 2013 Departure day. Page 8 of 8
