The contract will exist for 1 year, from April 16, 2014 through April 15, 2015 with an option to renew for 2 additional 1 year periods. The previous spend on tires was approximately $482, The spends were as follows: Beasley Tire Service - $336,665.00, Michelin - $97, and Strouhal Tire - $48, Aldine ISD had no previous bid contract; however each of the previous vendors were on State cooperative contracts. The upcoming contract value cannot be determined since purchases are made on an as needed basis. The proposal is based on obtaining a cost per item and an overall category total for estimated annual volumes. Specifications were posted to Aldine s website, an and advertisement was placed in the newspaper. Vendors were contacted about their intentions to respond.
