3 Thank you so much for your interest in supporting the sport of powerlifting and those who partake in it. In order to keep our events at a low cost to the lifters and to support those in our community, The Meet Director is requesting partnership from local or national sponsors to aide in the expensive cost of hosting these events. USA Powerlifting is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is run by volunteers. Your support of our organization is necessary and appreciated. About the Event The 2018 Commodore Classic will take place at Area 615 Sports training in Franklin, TN and plans to host over fifty lifters from Nashville and the region in a Powerlifting meet to benefit the Vanderbilt University Powerlifting Club. The event will take place on February 17, 2018 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN. The event will host powerlifters of all ages and skill levels for both raw and equipped powerlifting as an open meet. This facility has combined the most technologically advanced training experience using the region s best instructure to insure the most advanced sports training possible.area 615 is a revolutionary sports our athletes the most advanced training possib USA Powerlifting USA Powerlifting (formerly American Drug Free Powerlifting Association, Inc.) is the leading powerlifting organization in the United States. USA Powerlifting is a member of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF), the governing body of powerlifting internationally. The IPF is comprised of member federations from eighty-three countries on six continents. Powerlifting is a sport made up three lifts: the Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift. Powerlifting competitions may be comprised of one, two or all three of the lifting disciplines. Meet Director The event will be directed by USA Powerlifting Certified judge and coach Deanna Gerdesmeier who directed the successful Tennessee State Powerlifting Meet in Deanna has over four years of experience competing and volunteering for USA Powerlifting events and hosts meetups and events for lifters in Nashville. 4 Your company s name will be listed as the presenting sponsor by name in all media, print and marketing. The event name will appear as follows: 2018 USA Powerlifting Commodore Classic Presented By Your Company Announcing Privileges If you so choose, a representative from your company may announce during the event. This representative must have an understanding of the sport of powerlifting, or the Meet Director will provide a second announcer to partner with the representative of the Presenting Sponsor company. Presence Your company name and logo will appear prominently on the event website listing at Diesellifts.com and all marketing and promotions. The Presenting Sponsor will be the most prominently listed sponsor, to be followed by Gold, then silver level sponsors. Social Media Your company name and logo will appear regularly as sponsors for the event on Facebook and Instagram. Event T-Shirt / Apparel The Presenting Sponsor will have their logo on the front and back of the meet T-Shirt given to all lifters, and for sale at the event. The Sponsor will have the option to provide their branded apparel to be worn at the event by volunteers, spotters, and loaders. Event Images Your logo will appear watermarked on all event images distributed online free of charge at diesellifts.com. Signage and Banners Your company s signage and banners will appear prominently and predominantly over the Gold and Silver level sponsors at the event in close proximity to the platform. Vendor Booth Your sponsorship will allow you to host a vendor booth with prominence to the lifters and the event audience. The sponsor may sell items at the booth, however, the sponsor must bring their own point of purchase system. 6 The Vendor Booth location will be set up and mutually agreed to by the vendor, venue, and Meet Director. Table and Chairs Each vendor will be given one table and two chairs. Anything the vendor wishes to provide in addition to that will be approved by Meet Director. Power Power will be supplied to all vendor booths to plug in point of purchase devices and computers. Any special lighting or music that the vendor wishes to use at the booth must be approved by the Meet Director. Banners, signage, and placards Presenting and gold level sponsors will have the option to bring banners and signage or placards to the event as well as at their vendor booth. Silver level sponsors will be permitted to have their banners only within proximity to the booth. Additional Requests Any additional items that are requested of the meet director, or other, less conventional booth space can be discussed and agreed to by Meet Director. 7 November - December 2017 Presenting and Gold-level sponsors will be secured and marketing for the event will begin. This includes web presence, banners, and flyers. January - February 2018 Silver level sponsors will be secured as marketing continues January 27, 2018 All Sponsors must submit any special requests for their booth at the event, and those will be approved by the Meet Director February 16, 2018 Sponsors may attend a walkthrough of the event space during setup and early equipment check for the event. Day Of Event, February 17, 2018 Doors are tentatively scheduled to open at 6:00 AM for the event and lifter check-in starts at 6:30 AM and weigh-ins will begin at 7. The Lifters meeting will begin at 8:30 AM with the competition beginning at 9:00 AM. The event will run throughout the day until approximately 3:00 PM.
