1 and Los Gatos are proud to be the host of the 2011 United States Bocce National Championships from June 25 July 2, The event will include Open Rules, Punto Raffa Volo; and Volo competitions governed by the USBF, CBI and FIB rules. Teams are required to wear matching uniforms with state flag permanently affixed and clearly visible on the shirt. Time limits for Punto Raffa Volo and Volo will be in effect. Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each event. Matching uniforms are required for all events including Open, Punto Raffa Volo, and Volo. No jeans, jean shorts will be allowed in any event. Tank tops and or sleeveless shirts will not be permitted. ALL TOPS OF UNI- FORMS MUST HAVE RESPECTED STATE FLAG OR EMBLEM PERMENENTLY AFFIXED TO SHIRT. This will be strictly enforced and disqualification will occur if uniform guidelines are not followed. The Men s TEAM Punto, Raffa, Volo competition will be held at both Livermore and Los Gatos, with teams playing in both facilities. The format is match play with each match consisting of a triples, singles and doubles game. Play will not take place outside at either venue during the afternoon hours. A maximum of 24 teams will be entered in the event. The Tournament Draw will be held at at 8:00 pm, on May 11, 2011, during a dinner event that is open to the public. Results of the draw will be posted on the USBF web site ( The winning team will represent the United States at the World Championships. The date, time and venue is yet to be determined. The Volo event will be held at on newly constructed courts adjacent to the vineyards. The men s Volo event will be individual competitors participating in the Combination, Precision and Singles format. The women s Volo event will consist of doubles play and precision shooting. The Women s Punto Raffa Volo competition will be a doubles event held at. There will be two open tournaments in the 2011 National Championships. Open A and Open B. Both championships will be played for medals only, no cash prizes will be awarded. In order to be eligible to participate in the Open B event, no participant can be a previous medal winner in any National Championship event. The 2011 Board of Directors meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 7:00pm in Los Gatos, CA. The location is yet to be determined.
