7 opportunities these are new markets importance of ELICOS as taster to build critical mass low financial investment therefore low risk increase # of ELICOS students via a range of initiatives: agents via agent associations IALCA/ASEPROCE Tourism Australia wh visa promotion increase % of WH Visa holders who take an ELICOS course 9,600 wh visas issued in 2011/2012 only 20% of these undertook ELICOS opportunity to expand beyond ELICOS other sectors to reach out to students already in the country doing ELICOS who might be considering options for formal study 13 sustainability is the growth in student numbers from these countries just a flash in the pan? how can we make this sustainable? the last two years have provided Australia with a new level of critical mass in student numbers from these countries we need to consider how we can use the students who already here to spread the word about Australia as a positive option alumni strategies, social media strategies
