3 Minutes Volume 14 Issue 4 April 2014 Page 3 AGC BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES 3/11/2014 Meeting called to order at 7 PM by President Emmanuel Boyd. Present: Artzer, Baker, Bonner, Boyd, Braton, Davis, Desmond, and Price Excused: Anthony I. CALL TO ORDER Pledge of Allegiance II. AGENDA APPROVAL a Motion to approve the Agenda. Motion seconded and passed. III. MINUTES b Motion to accept the minutes from the 2/11/2014 BOD meeting. Motion seconded and passed. IV. MEMBERS FORUM AGC Trap Chairman, Rich Dimisko - We are starting to run low on trap targets, so I am taking bids from a couple of companies. AGC 2st VP, AJ Davis - I am glad to see Rich Dimisko back so quickly after his heart attack. You are the first person to step up for weekend trap and actually try to make a go of it. V. OLD BUSINESS Gate Status - AGC 2nd VP, Dave Bonner - The gate is working. We are only able to program it for 1 week at a time. Since we initially had some problems, I am holding the final payment until the system has worked consistently for several weeks. Membership Status - AGC 1st VP, AJ Davis and AGC Administrative Assistant, Candy Nonnemacher - On Saturday we held two orientations, where 40 new members and 10 spouses attended. We still have 50 members that need to get their new badges made. After discussion, the board decided that from now on any member still needing a badge will need to contact our Administrative Assistant to see when she will be available to meet them at the club. Financial Status for February 2014 and New Investment - AGC Treasurer, Chris Baker - In February our revenues were $14, and expenses were $15,219.00; leaving a negative change of $ In February we had an unrealized gain on our investment account of $4,151.55; with a year to date unrealized gain of $5, In February, I transferred the board approved amount of $100, from our savings account into our investment account. Last month we were charged a bank fee for going over our transaction limit. I talked to our banker and to eliminate these fees, he suggested we upgrade our operating account to handle 500 transactions monthly. I will take care of getting our account changed. Conflict of Interest Policy Statement for the BOD - AGC 2nd VP, Dave Bonner - There were a couple of changes that needed to be done. This was tabled until next month. Maintenance and Improvements - AGC 2nd VP, Dave Bonner - I am waiting for the $750 check from our Propane Company. Once that comes in I will hire a new propane company. Last month I put temporary barriers on the Silhouette Range. After the match I checked them and they had splatter and 1 bullet impact on the barrier. AGC Treasurer, Chris Baker asked if the chicken line was going to be tested. AGC 2nd VP, Dave Bonner stated that this could be done.
4 Minutes Continued Volume 14 Issue 4 April 2014 Page 4 VI. NEW BUSINESS Incident Reports - AGC Caretaker, Richard Parker observed AGC Member, Lou Beltowski entering the clubhouse with a lit cigarette. Lou apologized and the board accepted his apology. Reminder to all club members, there is no smoking in the clubhouse. Range Officer Classes - AGC 1st VP, AJ Davis for AGC Chief Range Officer, Terry Humbargar - We will have the range officer class in March and will wait a few months to see if we need to have a second class. Maintenance and Improvements - AGC 2nd VP, Dave Bonner - I purchased three sets of black powder swingers for $1, Several months ago I purchased new targets for the Archery Range. Reminder that arrows are to be used on the club targets and not crossbows because they over penetrate. When using a crossbow you need to bring your own targets. Weather permitting, we have our first work party of the year on Saturday April 5th at 9am. I sent the 80 page flood plane Resolution from Arapahoe County to the board to look over. It basically states that since we sit on a flood plane we are not able to make any new additions to the club property. VII. BOD ROUNDTABLE AGC 1st VP, AJ Davis - I would like to know how much of a discount our Discipline Chairman are receiving. Our Administrative Assistant will put this information together and bring it next month. AGC Secretary, Chris Baker - Over the winter months, we were supposed to be working on a plan for discipline initiatives to get more members interested in participating in the different disciplines. Has anyone put any work or thought into this? VIII. Good to see Mark back and welcome a new shooter Chris Colby. Our next match will be Saturday April 12 th at This will be a 20 round slow fire match. Front and rear rest okay. 2 sighters okay. In order to maintain a fair playing field, I will once again be classifying shooters according to shooting ability. Experts will compete with experts and sharp shooters will compete with other sharp shooters. Cash prizes will depend on how many shooters shoot in each division. This month s side match will be a military pistol shoot off. WWII military pistols or earlier will qualify. We will fire 20 rounds in 10 minutes. Terry is creating a surprise target for us. We will shoot in the Magnum Berm after the regular match. Anyone who wants to shoot, but doesn t have a pistol, give me a call. Let s also give Rob Lucernoni and Mikey Nagengast support and shoot their matches. Happy Trails. See you in April.
