3 Minutes Volume 17 Issue 7 July 2017 Page 3 AGC BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES 6/13/2017 Meeting called to order at 7pm by President Emmanuel Boyd Present: Artzer, Boyd, Desmond, Faingold, Hirsch, Kohler, Mead, Patton Absent: Baker I. CALL TO ORDER Pledge of Allegiance II. AGENDA a. Motion to approve agenda. Motion seconded and passed. III. MINUTES No corrections to the minutes from 5/9/17 IV. MEMBERS FORUM AGC Member, Bill Branowitzer Bill shared information on some specifics about concrete and information on comparing concrete with asphalt. AGC Member, Fred Smith I just want to announce that tomorrow, June 14 th, is the 242 nd Birthday of our U.S. Army. AGC Member, AJ Davis I would like to see something put in place that would have shooters alternating ground and bench shooting on the 200 yard range. Currently the shooters on the benches have priority. V. OLD BUSINESS Financial Report AGC Treasurer, Tom Desmond In May our revenues were $19, and our expenses were $31, leaving a net loss of $11, The loss for May and the year to date is due to a trap bird write-off of over $9000 due to our not accounting for birds used during the ATA shoots. We have a new process for the accountants to track bird use. Our YTD revenue is $92, and our YTD expenses are $98, leaving a net loss of $5, Account balances: Checking Account $120,166.47; Payroll Account $15, and Savings Account $667, Our assets with the JP Morgan Cash Holdings account is $12, Our Fixed income account balance is $130, Our Alternative Assets balance is $108, Total JP Morgan is $250, Update on Credit Card Processing - AGC Treasurer, Tom Desmond I am looking to go with the company Stripe. This would be used for membership renewals and there will be a small processing fee involved. An Invoice would still be mailed out and members could go online to pay their renewal. Mass Service Update AGC Treasurer, Tom Desmond At this time only 47% of the s have been opened. This service will make it easier to send s to all members at one time. All members with addresses will receive notifications using this service. Members that wish to receive the newsletter by will also receive the newsletters through this service. If a member unsubscribes they will need to sign themselves back up to receive messages, as we are not able to add them back in if they unsubscribe. Let s put a notice in the newsletter about this. Maintenance AGC 2 nd VP, John Mead We had J&J Tree Service take down one tree and trim up several more. They thought our trees looked to be in pretty good shape. Regarding the entrance to the club Berry is taking the lead on this. AGC Board Member, Berry Patton I have checked with Arapahoe county, the city of Aurora, and the water department on putting in concrete at the front entrance. I will be getting some bids on both asphalt and concrete and to haul away. AGC 2 nd VP, John Mead We also have a gentleman that is refurbishing the sign as you come into the club. We had a company working on the weed problem. The work party in June was cancelled because it was on a Sunday. Looking at a date in July. Status of roof still waiting on the company to come out to give us a bid, due to the recent hail damage the roofing companies are busy.

4 Minutes Continued Volume 17 Issue 7 July 2017 Page 4 Training Classes - AGC Board Member, Loren Kohler Do we have anybody else that will be coming in to do training classes? AGC President, Emmanuel Boyd said that the club s guidelines state that we are to operate and educate so yes, I think we need to offer more training classes. Mr. Kohler mentioned that currently classes are for members, and family & friends. Could we reach out to boy scouts and girl scouts to offer training. If we have instructors to do the classes we should offer more classes. There was some discussion about fees for classes and entertaining the idea of getting an Instructor to teach. Update on Bison Oil & Gas AGC President, Emmanuel Boyd - We have put out feelers to the club members, most have replied that they do not want anybody on the property. Bison called me last week to say that they have a place about a mile away that they could drill from, but would still like to get the clubs mineral rights. Bison explained that they have a company that does the drilling and goes under ground. Other members suggested that the club reach out to other oil companies to see what they may have to offer. There was discussion about the drilling under the club, about negotiating a better deal with Bison. As well as how they must report exactly where they are drilling. The discussion lead to the decision to have 2 board members (Dave Faingold & Bob Hirsch) and a few other members with experience and interest to form an Oil Exploratory Committee to review and negotiate a business venture with Bison or possibly another Oil & Gas Company. VI. NEW BUSINESS Incident Report - No Incidents to report Annual Rules Review 1 st reading of proposals to the club rules. Discussion about changing some of the verbiage to make some items more clearly stated. Question on the 200-yard range as to why the benches get priority. It was really that something had to be chosen and the benches were decided on. Under the Restricted Devices/Firearms There was discussion on FA firearms and clarifying the types, appropriate paperwork, registering each type and verbiage being changed from The shooter is required to Any shooter. The rewritten proposals will be ed out to members for input. VII. ROUND TABLE AGC BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES 6/13/2017 AGC Secretary, Bob Hirsh I received a call from a member asking about a swap meet being scheduled before it gets too hot. Now that it is warming up looking at possibly holding one in the fall (Sept.) AGC Board Member, Loren Kohler Announced that this weekend is the Colorado State ATA Trap Shoot. Here at the club the ATA Trap Shoot is held on the 3 rd Sunday of every month unless it s a Holiday such as Easter or Mother s Day. VIII. RECESS & ADJOURNMENT NO EXECUTIVE SESSION WAS HELD Announcements NEW MASS SERVICE Beginning in June a few messages were sent out through a NEW service called MailChimp. Please be sure to accept this so that you will receive notifications from the club. For those of you that wish to receive the newsletter by they will also be sent out through this service. However, the July newsletter will be sent out through both the old and new service, so you have time to setup the new account. Please add mailinglist@auroragunclub.com to your contact list. If you should unsubscribe to this you will need to sign yourself back up, as we will be unable to add you back in once you unsubscribe. Thank you!

I would again like to encourage all AGC members to come out and participate in the monthly fun shoots. The format of the shoots consists of 50 singles targets at 16 yards in A, B, C, or D class depending on your ATA class (if you are an ATA member). If you don't have an established ATA singles class, you will start as a "B" class shooter; 50 handicap targets in 3 yardage ranges of short, medium, and long depending on your ATA yardage. If no established ATA handicap class, men will shoot from 20 yards and ladies will shoot from 19 yards; 25 pairs of doubles, A,B, C, or D class, depending on ATA class. As with singles, if you don't have an established ATA class, you will shoot as a "B" class shooter. Members pay standard target fees of $4.50 per 25 rounds. Shot shells are limited to a max shot size of 7 1/2 and low brass, 3 dram equivalent loads max. You don't have to be an all-out trap shooter to have a good time at these shoots - feel free to use the time on the range as a tune-up for upcoming bird hunting seasons, getting used to a new shotgun, spending quality time with family or other AGC members, or as a good excuse to get out of doing house chores. I also want to extend condolences to the families of 2 AGC members we recently lost - Charlie Lennox and Dick Hansen. Charlie and Dick were both longtime AGC members, avid trap shooters, and first class gentlemen. They were true assets to the gun club and friends to all who knew them. They will both be missed.
