CLEARWATER, FL. - January 23-24, 2015 was judgment day for those whom competed in the Bike Builders invitational. This years crowned champion, Steve Galvin with his Ford Cobra Tribute bike. Steve, a many time winner of the builder s invitational won his first Championship diamond studded ring. Valued at $5, along with his check for $5, in cash. This competition is now the largest in prize money in recent history of bike competitions here in the US. Judging this year by IMBBA judges were: Chief Judge - Jeff Starke and Master Judges Ron Radeke and Fabrizio Favre. Scoring and recording performed by Jean Starke. Scores this year was evidence that the builders prepared to IMBBA standards of fit, form, function & safety. In several of the five

5 Cleveland, Ohio (July 11, 2014) The Summit Racing Equipment I-X Piston Powered Auto-Rama Presented by RAD AIR Complete Car Care and Tire Centers announced today its strategic alliance with the International Master Bike Builders Association and Thunder Roads Ohio Magazine. The alliance will bring the IMBBA and their judges to the I-X Piston Powered Auto-Rama to judge all the motorcycles in 12 classes along with the Duck Award, Best in Show and Pro Builders class of bikes. Thunder Roads Magazine will host the Thunder Zone at the show and will collect ballots from show-goers for the People s Choice award. The IMBBA will also be inviting Bike Builders from throughout the country to attend the show. In addition, elements of the course can help builders as well as mechanics and customizers improve their own building capabilities. Once certified, an IMBBA judge is paid $ for judging that event and airfare and hotel accommodations are paid. This course is extensive as it covers classification of motorcycles the scoring and recording techniques used by IMBBA to fairly judge the individual bike. Along with educating the builder where to look and how to meet IMBBA s global standards for fit, form, function and safety. That has put IMBBA as the only professional judging source on the planet. In this course, you will have classroom as well as hands on experience with several makes and models of bikes customized and stock with accessories to judge and score. You will be proctored by IMBBA Master Judges and will undergo an examination and testing. Once completed successfully, you will become IMBBA certified Judge. The course is an all-day event Lunch included. Held at the premier motorcycle Institute PSI in North Randall, Ohio, It is administered by, Jeff Starke, IMBBA president, assisted by PSI Education Training Manger for the V-Twin department and IMBBA certified Motorcycle Instructor and Master Bike Builder and Master Judge, Ron Radeke. Last year there were 18 students that completed the course, some just came to learn the rules associated to Bike show competitions to build better bikes, others to become judges. RENEW YOUR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP In the last several bike shows IMBBA has judged we have come across an increasing number of custom baggers that have beautiful sculptured rear bags and fender skirts. All of which, have the lighting surface mounted. Meaning, no visual structure depicting where the light source many emit light from. While it is way cool and design points are awarded. What one point can give, several points can be taken for safety when, violating the Department of transportation requirement to have reflective lens, or surfaces in the event you lose power. This is a safety issue that can t be ignored, when considering a riders safety. There is always a possibility the bike could lose all power one night on a highway or unlighted street and the on-coming motorist will not see you with the use of their headlights lighting the way. 20 points is taken when safety is violated. To ensure your best built efforts are not lost in competition, Cover your back with a reflective lighting panel of your design or use the reflective mounting buttons that affix the license plate. True, the DOT license plate is considered a reflective surface, but it is not designed to be seen on various angles of attack. Only direct lighting. 14 Daytona now upon us and soon it will be Stugis. This year, Sturgis celebrates its 75 th year. And IMBBA celebrates its 10 th year! I am personally inviting all industry people to attend or stop by our booth in Sturgis this year and have a drink some food and meet others with the same passion. Many of our IMBBA Hall of Fame personalities will be there as well as certified builders and professionals, and some of our sponsors. Ten years, especially during the financial constraints, is a long time to survive and we have continued to perform and certify many builders in eleven countries. This year we will be going to thirteen countries and we boast members globally. We completed our Motorcycle Appraizers course and have built a great repore with Powersports Institute (PSI) in North Randall, Ohio. Last February PSI hosted the first public offering of our Judges course. This course alone made a vast impact on builders competing when they learn the value of our points system.
