3 ABOUT RALLY: DHL Rally Elektrėnai 2015 first time happening rally, connecting most memorable rally gravel: legendary special stages are here for over four decades. New beginning, best gravel and breath-taking turns will assure adrenaline and unique unforgettable moments for spectators and participants. One day rally - incredible time and best possible conditions for participants to participate and have great time. Rally is organized in memory of well known Lithuanian rally driver Vidmantas Čiutelė who has passed away this year. Thanks to Elektrėnai municipality 55-th anniversary, rally is free for spectators. 7 REGION: Elektrėnai is one of the newest towns of Lithuania, had been established during the Soviet times as the living space for workers of the nearby power plant. The name of the new town was derived from word elektrinė (English: electric plant). Most of the buildings in Elektrėnai are large monolith housing projects built during the Soviet times and there are no historical buildings. The town, however, is close to Elektrėnai Lagoon, an artificial lake that was created in order to cool down the Elektrėnai Power Plant. Elektrėnai municipality secures about 36 cultural heritage objects, 19 cultural monuments, 13 objects included into cultural worth registry. THIS RALLY GRAVEL - WAS HIS WELL KNOWN ROADS USED NOT ONLY TO RALLY, BUT FOR HIS ORGANIZED

IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN FOUR DECADES OF RALLYING IN THESE TERRITORIES.ONE OF THE FIRST RALLY ORGANIZERS AND LITHUANIAN RALLY STARTS IS VIDMANTAS CIUTELE. LEGENDARY RALLY DRIVER AND ONE OF THESE MEN, WHO CONTRIBUTED HIS LIFE TO RALLY. SADLY, VIDMANTAS CIUTELE HAS PASSED AWAY THIS YEAR, ON 4TH OF AUGUST. THIS GREAT MAN LEFT AN INCREDIBLE MARK IN AUTOMOBILE SPORTS HISTORY. THIS RALLY GRAVEL - WAS HIS WELL KNOWN ROADS USED NOT ONLY TO RALLY, BUT FOR HIS ORGANIZED RALLIES IN THE PAST.
