We invite you to Samsonas Rally 2017 Samsonas Rally is a completely new, many impressions and good emotions promising motorsport event, which takes place in on 4-5 August, Two-day rally fiesta will start in town square on 4 August. is a town, with the name associated with cheeses, but it can also offer much more to its guests and tourists. Here you can visit one of the most beautiful neogothic churches in Lithuania, and manor ensamble, and you can also have a rest by the lakes, that are located in the district. Rallying isn t unfamiliar in, but this town hadn t had a rally event for quite some time. Completely new region, newly chosen eight special stages will be driven twice. For the participants and the audience will be presented tricky turns and narrow forest roads, wide gravel roads, road parts which will be sandy or full of clay, crooked and breathtaking jumps. During two days rally participants will drive about 135 kilometers of special stages, of which 6 kilometers will be driven on tarmac roads in town. Rally headquarters, service park and opening ceremony will wait for participants and public in town square. The refuelling zone and service park will be located near it. So all rally s infrastructure could be reached on foot. For the crews and spectators comfort, temporrary outdoor cafes will be avalible near the service park. Tarmac spacial stage in town will be a few minutes away from rally s headquarters. The prize giving ceremony will be located nearby, in recently restored, luxorious manor ensamble. Location for Shakedown is chosen so, that crews would come back every time through the service park and, according to their needs, could have service that will allow to avoid temporary service settling problems. 4

5 Greetings participants, friends and rally fans! I m happy to announce that this rally season will be labeled with new experiences that we have already started impatiently waiting for. I am glad, that I have combined my experience with Martynas Samsonas and worldwide company Samsonas Racing Transmission & Suspensions. I believe, that with our mutual efforts, we will create a really fantastic event in the end of the summer Samsonas Rally. This is clompletely new region with technical spacial stages and great spectators zones. Two-day format with 135 km special stages, which will give the opportunity for drivers to show off in misleading forest paths. With "Samsonas Racing Transmission & Suspensions" help, we hope that a lot of participants and rally fans from all over the world will attend our special event. I believe, that this rally event will become a traditional and continue for several years. I m glad to present newly formed organisation, which is ready to do the best to make this event as memorable as possible for both, paticipants and spectators. 6 Martynas Samsonas invites you to the hottest event of the summer! I, Martynas Samsonas, sincerely invite you all to attend Samson Rally " on August 4-5, 2017! I am so happy with the opportunity to cooperate with Audrius Gimzauskas and hope that working together will be able to achieve our common goals and dreams in order to popularize the motorsport in Lithuania. We both have quite a lot of experience in motorsport and in one way or another are involved in it for nearly three decades. We are very positive and optimistic and I am pleased that the project and our goals are long-term, and every year we are trying to do our best to surprise everyone. In my opinion, Samsonas Motorsport Rally Utena, has changed a little the whole history of rally. We were able to collect a record number of participants in Lithuania crews from 13 different countries all over the world. We changed the format of the rally to make it one of the most compact events in the Baltic States. Audrius organized "300 Lakes Rally" Zarasai, in my opinion, was one of the best motorsport events in various aspects. Therefore, I hope that this our common event will be impressive and it will fulfill our all expectations. Samsonas Racing Transmissions & Suspensions is a world-class organization, so it is a great honor to cooperate in organizing such an event. We promise to make every effort and invite our customers to take part in the event. I believe, that more than one thousand rally fans will come here to watch this event. I am sure that the heart of the town will become the attraction center and countryside gravel roads will become a real ring of fights, where drivers and their crews will fight for the trophies. I am happy, that our buisnessmen and community members are involved in the process of reaching the mutual goal. I am sure that Samsonas Rally will make us happy for several years and everyone who likes extreme sport will get unforgetable impressions and great emotions. So, I invite everyone, big and small, to and its surroundings, where you could see a fantastic speed fiesta. 10 4. Information for participants Rally guide isn t an official document it is for informative use only. All information can be altered, updated information will be posted in Samsonas Rally championships for which the rally counts: 2017 m. Lithuanian rally championship, round m. Baltic Rally Trophy, round 4 Special prizes and nominations: Alongside the official titles, there will be a possibility to compete for the special prizes and nominations presented by the sponsors of the rally. More information will be presented in Rally Guide 2. Speeding Please note that from the moment when the crew has received GPS devices until the GPS equipment will be handed over, the speed, according to LR KET, at which the crew drives the car on the public roads will be continuously monitored and controlled. This regulation isn t applied to sports cars in the speed tracks. It is obligatory to use GPS devices during the competition. Reconnaissence It is a must for every crew to get to know the track. It will be avalible to go through special stages no more than 2 times. Also, the speed will be monitored and controlled. The organiser will put up the signs in the track or in the roadbook, which will notify about speed limit. The GPS, police and organiser s assigned people will monitor the crew s violations. You can get to know the track only with cars, that are registered at organiser s. Shakedown The Shakedown will be held on Friday, August 4. Detailed information about the location, time and registration will be in Rally guide 2. Concert On Saturday, August 5, prize giving ceremony will proceed near manor, in which you will be able to enjoy the band s Biplan concert and DJ G Spot performace. 10
