This is the second of four regular season games against the Pacers with each team hosting one more contest (Jan. 8 at CLE, Feb. 9 at IND). In the first matchup between Cleveland and Indiana this season (10/27/18), the Cavs had six players score in double figures (Rodney Hood 17, Larry Nance Jr. 15, George Hill 14, Jordan Clarkson 12, Collin Sexton 12, Cedi Osman 10). Cleveland shot (.909) from the free throw line in that game, which was one of eight games this season shooting.900 or better from the charity stripe. The Cavs also held a (+15) edge on the glass against the Pacers. Cleveland received 50 points from their bench on Sunday against Philadelphia, their 4th consecutive game with 50+ points from the reserves (10th overall). According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the Cavs four straight contests with 50+ bench points matches a franchise record established from 12/17/1991 to 12/21/1991. This season, the Cavs bench is averaging 43.6 bench points (6th-best in NBA). The Cavaliers dished out a season-high 28 assists on 41 made field goals versus the Sixers. They also connected on 12 three-pointers, their 7th straight game with double-digit triples (15th overall). JORDAN CLARKSON finished with a team-high tying 18 points, a team-high six rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes off the bench against the 76ers. Clarkson has scored in double figures in 26-of-30 games this season (2nd-most among NBA reserves) and is averaging a career-high 16.7 points per game this season (4th-best among all NBA bench players). RODNEY HOOD contributed 13 points on 5-9 (.556) shooting, two rebounds and four assists in 27 minutes on Sunday. He has now turned in 22 double-digit scoring performances this season. Over the last three games (since 12/12), Hood is averaging 18.3 points on.568 (21-37) shooting from the field and.438 (7-16) shooting from three-point range, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 26.0 minutes per game. MATTHEW DELLAVEDOVA chipped in 13 points on 5-9 (.556) shooting, including 3-4 (.750) from beyond the arc, two rebounds, a season-high seven assists and a steal in 22 minutes as a reserve versus Philadelphia. He has scored in double figures in each of his first four contests since being acquired by the Cavaliers, averaging 12.3 points (.548 FG%,.529 3FG%, FT%), 2.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 21.4 minutes. CEDI OSMAN had a team-high tying 18 points on 6-10 (.600) shooting, four rebounds and a steal in 35 minutes of action against the Sixers. Osman has scored in double figures in 16 contests this season. COLLIN SEXTON added 12 points, two assists and two steals in 31 minutes versus the 76ers. Sexton has scored in double figures in 25 games so far (2nd-most among all rookies this season), including 19-of-20 starts. In 20 games as a starter, Sexton is averaging 17.7 points, including.429 (21-49) shooting from beyond the arc, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 33.1 minutes per game. LARRY NANCE JR. has scored in double figures in five of his last seven games. Since Dec. 5 (seven games), he is averaging 10.7 points (.604 FG%,.500 3FG%,.750 FT%), 7.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 29.0 minutes per game. NBA All-Star on-court events will tip off on Friday, Feb. 18 at Quicken Loans Arena with MTN DEW ICE Rising Stars, an annual showcase for top rookies and second-year NBA players. On Feb. 19, State Farm All-Star Saturday Night will feature the Taco Bell Skills Challenge and the Three-Point and Slam Dunk contests. NBA All-Star 2022 will culminate with the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 20. The NBA will host several events for fans of all ages at venues throughout the city, including The Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University and Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. These events, including NBA All-Star Practice and the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game presented by Ruffles, will feature basketball programming and entertainment for fans as well as up-close access to NBA players, legends and celebrities. In 2022, the NBA All-Star Game will be televised in prime time on TNT for the 20th consecutive year, marking Turner Sports 37th year of NBA All-Star coverage. NBA ALL-STAR HISTORY IN CLEVELAND Cleveland last hosted NBA All-Star in 1997, when the league celebrated its 50th anniversary season. The NBA s 50 Greatest Players were honored during a ceremony at halftime of the All-Star Game. The 1997 NBA All-Star Game featured a historic performance from Charlotte Hornets forward Glen Rice, who set an All-Star record for points in a quarter with 20 in the third period. Rice finished with 26 points to lead the Eastern Conference past the Western Conference , earning MVP honors.
