The Coaches: St. Norbert coach Tim Coghlin (UW-Stevens Point, 1989) is in his 26th season in De Pere. The Green Knights are in the last 17-plus seasons. Coghlin s five national championships are the second most in Division III history, while his nine national title game appearances are tied for the most. Coghlin was the captain of UW- Stevens Point s first national championship team in Finlandia coach Joe Burcar is in his 11th season in Hancock. This is the third season of his second stint with the Lions. This Season: St. Norbert swept Finlandia 3-1 and 8-1 in a home-and-home series this past weekend. In the opener Friday at Cornerstone Community Center, Luke Davison and Steven Mather s third-period goals snapped a 1-1 tie. Riley Christensen also scored for St. Norbert, while Hunter Kero scored for Finlandia. T.J. Black made 17 saves for the Green Knights, while Marcus Gloss turned away 30 shots for the Lions. On Saturday at Houghton County Arena in Hancock, Mich., the Green Knights scored four goals in the second period and three goals in the third period to break open a 1-1 game. Roman Uchyn had a hat trick and an assist, while Brad Pung had one goal and four assists for the Green Knights. Teddy Randell scored for Finlandia, which outshot St. Norbert About the Green Knights: St. Norbert enters the series at overall. The fourth-ranked Green Knights won their 16th Northern Collegiate Hockey Association regular season title in the last 23 years, posting a record of , with wins of 3-1 and 8-1 over Finlandia this past weekend. Senior forward Riley Christensen leads the Green Knights in scoring with 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points. Senior forward Roman Uchyn has a team-high 13 goals with 13 assists for 26 points, while sophomore forward Peter Bates has eight goals and 17 assists for 25 points. Junior forward Dominick Sacco has 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points, with freshman defenseman Brendon Gysbers scoring four goals and 17 assists for 21 points. Senior goaltender T.J. Black is with a 1.68 goals against average and.928 save percentage. Sophomore Ryan Bontorin is with a 1.77 goals against average and.947 save percentage. The Lions, who were swept by St. Norbert 3-1 and 8-1 last week, are making their first NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs appearance since the league reconfigured in and first since the campaign. Freshman forward Teddy Randell tops the Lions in scoring with five goals and 11 assists for 16 points. Sophomore forward Connor Hannon has six goals and nine assists for 15 points, while sophomore forward Cale Markham has a team-high 10 goals with two assists for 12 points. Senior forward Alex Rezansoff has four goals and six assists for 10 points, while senior forward Paul Lochner has two goals and eight assists for 10 points. Sophomore goaltender Marcus Gloss is with a 2.90 goals against average and.913 save percentage. Sophomore Santeri Seppinen is 2-4 with a 4.07 goals against average and.852 save percentage. Finlandia is 13-for-110 (11.8 percent) on the power play and is 99- for-126 (78.6 percent) on the penalty kill this season. Cup Clamor: St. Norbert attempts to capture its 15th NCHA Playoffs championship when it begins play in the Peters Cup Playoffs this weekend. The Green Knights are alltime in the NCHA Playoffs, and are 67-7 at home all-time in the tournament. St. Norbert is on the road. St. Norbert has won its last 23 rounds at home in the NCHA Playoffs, which includes 35 consecutive wins. The Green Knights last home loss in the league post-season was a 3-2 overtime loss to UW- Superior in the 2006 NCHA Peters

3 Cup Championship. Since the season, St. Norbert has played just seven of its last 57 NCHA Playoff series/rounds on the road. Included in those seven are four trips to Adrian for the Harris Cup title the last four seasons. The Green Knights lost at Adrian in 2015 and 2016 before winning the Harris Cup there in 2017 and Steady Study: St. Norbert coach Tim Coghlin has directed the Green Knights to 23 consecutive seasons with at least 18 wins, dating back to the season. That streak is the longest such record in NCAA Division III hockey history. Coghlin is one of five coaches in Division III hockey history have posted at least 11 consecutive seasons with at least 18 wins. Plattsburgh State s Bob Emery had 17 consecutive seasons reaching the 18-win plateau from 1990 to Middlebury s Bill Beaney had 15 consecutive seasons with at least 18 wins from 1995 to Oswego State coach Ed Gosek had a 12-season streak with at least 18 wins begun in 2004 snapped in 2016 with a overall record. St. Thomas Terry Skrypek had 11 consecutive seasons at the 18-win mark from 1988 to Iron Man: St. Norbert senior forward Steven Phillips enters the NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs never having missed a game in his career. Phillips has skated in all 117 games played during his career with the Green Knights, tallying 30 goals and 36 assists for 66 points. Phillips streak ties him for second for most consecutive games played in NCAA Division III history, according to the NCAA Ice Hockey Record Book. It is also the St. Norbert record, surpassing the old mark of 109 set by Steven Sleep from Norwich s Travis Janke holds the Division III record with 119 consecutive games played from Adrian s Quinn Walker played in 116 consecutive games from Home Sweet Cornerstone: St. Norbert is all-time at the Cornerstone Community Center, going in its last 271 games there. The Green Knights are currently on a 38-game unbeaten streak at home, going since a 4-2 loss to Concordia-Wis., on Jan. 27, The Green Knights had a 25-game home winning streak - the secondlongest in NCAA Division III history - snapped with a 2-2 tie to Gustavus Adolphus on Nov. 4, St. Norbert also owns the NCAA Division III record with a 36-game home winning streak set Oct. 25, 2002 to Oct. 29, Under Tim Coghlin, St. Norbert is at home, which includes games at Brown County Arena, Resch Center and De Pere Ice Arena.
