Last Meetings: Oswego State topped St. Norbert 4-3 in overtime in a NCAA Tournament national semifinal on March 17, 2007 in Superior. Ryan Woodward s goal 3:51 into overtime was the difference. Tyler Lyon added a pair of goals for the Lakers. Ryan Petersen is the only current Green Knight to score a goal in that game. Ryan Scott made 26 saves for Oswego, while Kyle Jones made 25 stops for St. Norbert. St. Norbert beat Lawrence 8-1 in the season opener on Oct. 28 in Appleton. Alain Joanette scored a natural hat trick in his first collegiate game, while A.J. Gale added two goals. Masa Takahashi scored the lone marker for the Vikings. Evan Johnson made 42 saves for the Vikings, while Blake Bashor made eight saves and B.J. O Brien 12 for the Green Knights. About the Green Knights: St. Norbert had school-record 37- game unbeaten and 16-game winning streaks come to an end this past Saturday with a 4-3 loss at UW- Superior. Freshman forward Eric Selleck has eight goals and six assists for 14 points, and senior forward Matt Whitehead has four goals and six assists for 10 points. Overall, the Lakers are scoring 5.2 goals per game while allowing 3.1 goals per game. Freshman goaltender Paul Beckwith is 4-1 with a 2.57 goals against average and.865 save percentage, while senior Chris Hyk has a mark with a 3.41 GAA and.891 save percentage. Oswego s power play is 11-for-57 (19.3 percent) and its penalty kill is 39-for-50 (78.0 percent). About the Vikings: Lawrence enters the weekend at 3-5 overall and is 3-3 in the MCHA. The Vikings had three consecutive shutouts heading into Tuesday s 5-1 loss at Lake Forest, topping MSOE 1-0 on Nov. 15 and sweeping Minnesota-Crookston 5-0 and 8-0 this past weekend. Senior forward Nick Jennette leads the Vikings in scoring with three goals and five assists for eight points. Junior forward Marc Howe has four goals and two assists for six points, while freshman forward

3 Matt Hughes has two goals and three assists for five points. The Vikings are scoring 2.4 goals per game while allowing 3.4 goals per game. Sophomore goaltender Evan Johnson has seen most of the action in net for Lawrence, posing a 3-3 record with a 2.47 goals against average and.919 save percentage. Lawrence s power play is 8-for-52 (15.4 percent), while its penalty kill is 45-for-53 (84.9 percent). Eastern Eavesdroppings: St. Norbert is all-time against East Region opponents. The Green Knights have played at least one weekend a season against eastern foes for the past 14 years. St. Norbert is in its last 106 games at the Cornerstone Community Center. In the last seven-plus seasons, the Green Knights are a sparkling at the Cornerstone, with three losses and one tie coming to national champion UW-Superior during the season. All-time, St. Norbert is at the Cornerstone Community Center, which includes a mark there its first season in the building in Under Tim Coghlin, St. Norbert is at home, which includes games at Brown County Arena, Resch Center and De Pere Ice Arena. The Green Knights 37-game unbeaten streak is the secondlongest in Division III history. Massachusetts-Dartmouth holds the Division III record at 38 games from Jan. 16, 1985 to March 2, St. Norbert has had two 19-game unbeaten streaks in its history, and fashioned a 26-game skein during the season. With its collection of unbeaten streaks of at least 19 games, St. Norbert now has four of the top 13 unbeaten streaks in NCAA Division III history. Middlebury is the only other Division III school which has at least two unbeaten streaks of at least 19 games. St. Norbert s best ever stretch of hockey came at the end of the season into the season. The Green Knights carried a 19- game unbeaten streak (17-0-2) into the 2003 Frozen Four before losing to Norwich in a national semifinal. St. Norbert then opened the season St. Norbert was over that 31-game stretch. Dating back to a 2-1 loss to UW- Stout at the Resch Center on Jan. 27, 2007, the Green Knights are an impressive overall and are against NCHA opponents. Gimme Five: St. Norbert is unbeaten in its last 211 games when scoring five goals or more with a mark since a 7-5 loss to Bemidji State in De Pere on Jan. 12, The Green Knights had an 85-game winning streak snapped when scoring five or more goals when they tied UW-Superior 5-5 on Dec. 3, St. Norbert is in its last 26 games when allowing five goals or more dating back to the season.
