St. Norbert swept Marian last season in a home-and-home series on Oct , The Green Knights won the opener 6-0 at home, with six different skaters scoring goals. 3 About the Sabres: Marian enters Friday s game with Finlandia overall and 2-2 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. The Sabres, in their last five games, tied St. John s 3-3 and beat Bethel 2-0 at home this past weekend. Senior forward Derek Thorogood has seven goals and five assists for 12 points. Senior forward Hunter Stewart has two goals and six assists for eight points. Senior defenseman Gianni Mangone has three goals and four assists for seven points, while junior forward Nick Monfils has seven assists for seven points. Sophomore goaltender Hunter Vorva is with a 2.11 goals against average and.922 save percentage. Marian is 8-for-33 (24.2 percent) on the power play and is 26-for-29 (89.7 percent) on the penalty kill this season. Overtime Observations: St. Norbert s 2-1 overtime win over Manhattanville this past Saturday was the Green Knights second win in extra time this young season. The Green Knights beat Adrian 4-3 in overtime on Nov. 11. The Manhattanville series also marked the first time in school history both games in a two-game weekend series against the same opponent went to overtime. It was only the fifth time ever both games in a weekend went to overtime, regardless of opponent. This season marks the fourth time the Green Knights have won at least two overtime games in one year. St. Norbert won a record four overtime games in The Green Knights won two each in and in as well as this season. The 2008 and 2014 seasons were national championship years. St. Norbert is now alltime in overtime games.
