3 EXECUTIVE STATEMENT Dear Local Business Owner: On behalf of the Woodstock Navy Vets Hockey Club and as an executive board member, I am pleased to be starting our fundraising drive for the upcoming 2015/2016 season. We are a not-for-profit community organization operating in the City of Woodstock, with roots stemming back to This being our 50 th anniversary of the club and as a community focused team, our future depends on the support of our sponsors, fans and volunteers and for that reason, I am contacting you. Please let us know that we can count on your support this year. Set out in this package are many sponsorship and advertising options available to you. 4 HISTORY OF THE WOODSTOCK NAVY VETS 1966: In The Beginning Ron Johnson tells the story of this historic franchise earliest moments in his book, titled, Go Vets Go: A History of the Woodstock Navy Vets Hockey Club. 1969: The Championship Season The Navy Vets won their only OHA Junior C Championship in the season, eliminating Dresden 4 games-to-0 in the quarter-final and New Hamburg 4 games-to-1 in the semi-final before beating Oakville Blades in 7 games in the final. 1978: Future NHL Star The Navy Vets roster for included a star rookie who would only play this one season with the Vets before moving on to higher levels and eventually a very successful NHL career... Clarence Schmalz Cup Appearances 1969: Woodstock Navy-Vets defeated Oakville Blades 4-games-to : Penetang Kings defeated Woodstock Navy-Vets 4-games-to-none OHA Semi-Finals Appearances 1981: lost to Essex 73`s 1988: lost to Mooretown Flags 1995: Belle River Canadians defeated Woodstock Navy-Vets 4-games-to-none 2002: Essex 73`s defeated Woodstock Navy-Vets 4-games-to-none George S. Dudley Trophy Super "C" Appearances This trophy was awarded during the 1970s to a new class of junior hockey known as Super "C". The teams that competed were deemed to be from centres too small for Junior "B" but yet too big for Junior "C". The cities that competed for it: Barrie (MOJBHL), Woodstock (ICJCHL & CJCHL), Kitchener (CJBHL & WOJHL), Owen Sound (CJCHL), and Brantford (CJCHL); struggled throughout that decade to find Junior "B" leagues that suited their needs. While waiting, these teams generally played "down" in the Junior "C" level and awaited the Super "C" playoffs. The class was disbanded by 1976 as the only teams eligible for the championship had found homes in Junior "B". 1970: Barrie Colts defeated Woodstock Navy-Vets 4-games-to-3... The Woodstock Renegades played their first game under a new name to begin a new era in team history in September of the 2007-08 season.

5 The Woodstock franchise under new ownership changed from its traditional Navy-Vets moniker & logo and ended its 41-year relationship with the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association at their 2007 awards banquet. The Woodstock Renegades played their first game under a new name to begin a new era in team history in September of the season The Woodstock franchise returned to its roots for the season becoming the Navy Vets once again, and back to the original logo and colors. This past season proved to be the most successful season the team has had in many years. The Vets are back!

8 SPONSORSHIP & ADVERTISING PROGRAM We believe that the best business transactions are those that benefit both parties. As a result, we have created a program that does just that! Sponsorship Opportunities All of our sponsorship opportunities are built around the above philosophy. We want to have local businesses investing in our product rather than supplying a donation. Likewise, we want to serve as a marketing tool for local businesses, helping you get where you want to go. Recognition All of our sponsors deserve to be publically and personally recognized for their sponsorships. That being said, all sponsors will be personally recognized at the end of each season with a token of our appreciation. Additionally, all sponsors will be publically recognized in the following ways: Storefront signage: When you decide to participate in our program, a sign/poster will be placed at your establishment, with your permission. This sign illustrates to the public that you are a supporter of the Woodstock Navy Vets, showcasing the virtues that accompany this commitment. Season Tickets We want all of our sponsors to see their investment in action. As a result, with the purchase of any most of our sponsorship packages, your business will receive a complementary season ticket package. Website recognition All sponsors will also appear on our website, throughout the sponsored year. Board of Sponsors All sponsors will also appear on our Board of Sponsors. The board will be placed at or around the gate every home game so that fans can see everyone that is contributing to the success of the organization.

For this investment your business logo will accompany our anchor on all marketing materials. The image below illustrates this advertisement. The package will consist of the following: - Company logo placed on all jerseys - Company logo placed on all marketing materials (Everywhere the above logo is located, as seen above) including social media pages and the team s webpage. - Company logo and promotional advertisement on of all game-night tickets - Company logo located on the cover of the game-day program - Company to receive a one page advertising slot in the program - In-game announcements o 1 pre-game announcement o 3 in-game announcement o 1 post-game announcement - As well as all other modes of sponsorship recognition mentioned previously.

This package offers prime exposure for your company. Single Jersey Advertisement... $ The Single Jersey opportunity will place your company s name on the back of a single player s home and away jersey. This opportunity is a fantastic way to attain weekly exposure in Woodstock and surrounding areas. For example: Norwich, Simcoe, Paris, New Hamburg, Aylmer, and Tavistock are among the teams played on a weekly basis throughout the year and provide a great opportunity for expanding your business ventures. Special Jersey Sponsorship... $1, The Woodstock Navy Vets is committed to our community and some of our involvement comes in the form of our special jerseys nights. Since the 2011/2012 Season, both Breast Cancer Awareness and Remembrance Day Jersey Nights have been in place. In both cases, the jerseys were auctioned with proceeds going to the corresponding charities. This program hinges upon the need for community sponsorship. Your sponsorship places your business name on the entire set of jerseys for 3 years, at which time they will be auctioned off. What makes this sponsorship opportunity truly great is that your jerseys will be worn in recognition of their cause for three years. For example; The Breast Cancer Awareness Jerseys are worn in warm-up throughout Breast Cancer Awareness month and for the duration of the designated game. After 3-years they are auctioned off to fans, who will in turn wear the jersey to future games advertising the name of your company on the shirt. In addition, your company will be recognized in the community for sponsoring such a worthy cause. It is our goal to continue to introduce new causes on a yearly basis. 12 Equipment Opportunities Helmet Advertisement... $ 3, This investment will get your company s logo placed on all Woodstock Navy Vets player helmets. The location will ensure a great amount of exposure both in Woodstock and on the road. Pant Advertisement... $2, This investment opportunity will place your company s logo on all Navy Vets player pants. The sponsorship will, like the helmet sponsorship, ensure a great amount of exposure both in Woodstock and during road games. Stick Advertisement... $ 1, A minimum $1, investment will place your company s advertisement in our program as a stick sponsor and when a Woodstock Navy Vet player breaks a stick at home games, an announcement will be made at the next stoppage of play as the team s stick sponsor. Additionally, your businesses logo will be placed on our web page and on our equipment sponsors bulletin that will be posted at all home games and on the team s website. Glove Advertisement... $ A minimum $ sponsorship will place your company on our web site, in our program and at our Home Games in similar fashion to our stick sponsorships. Game Night Sponsorship...$ A $ sponsorship allows your company to run marketing and promotions programs at your Navy Vets Home Game. This includes: hanging posters, giving away product, perform surveys, etc. In addition, you will be allotted on-ice time between the first and second periods (Maximum of 5 minutes per intermission) to run a promotional contest or marketing demonstration. Puck Advertisement... $ 1, This $1, opportunity places your company s logo on one side of the puck adjacent to our Woodstock Navy Vets logo. In addition to having your advertisement on the official game pucks that go out of play, we will also provide a special mention to your company whenever a puck leaves the ice surface. Additional recognition will be found on the team s website.

13 Hockey Cut-out Photo Advertisement..$ YOUR LOGO This opportunity places your company s logo on a custom designed and co-branded cut-out. This will be placed in the area during home games. Fans will be encouraged take pictures behind the cut-out which will provide sponsors with additional advertising. YOUR NAME Banner Advertisement $ This $ opportunity places your company s logo on a custom designed and co-branded banner. The banner will be placed in the front lobby and around the rink at all home games. Multi-Banner Advertisement.$ This multi-banner opportunity places your company s logo on a custom designed and co-branded banner that is 3 or more banners wide, creating a wall. The initial three banners are $2000 and $500 for each additional banner used to create the wall. The banner will be placed in the front lobby or around the rink at all home games.

14 Transportation Sponsorship...$ Transportation sponsorships are available. This sponsorship goes directly to travel expenses for our players coming from out of town or from school who will receive fuel cards. In return for your company s sponsorship, your name will appear in our program, at our home games and on our website. Team Transportation/Busing Sponsor... $ 5, A $5, sponsorship will make you the Woodstock Navy Vets Transportation/Busing Sponsor. In return for this sponsorship, you will receive a full-page advertisement in our program, home game recognition and website/social media mention for all road games. Navy Blueline Table Sponsors...$ A $ sponsorship will place your company logo on a table in the Navy Blueline Corner. Business card holders are available to you and an 8 ½ x 11 table sign can be customized by you each week. This is a popular, high-traffic area where fans gather for beverages during the game. This has proven to be a very popular area and sponsorship. Navy Blueline 50 th Anniversary Jersey Sponsors...$ A $ sponsorship will place your company logo on the back of a Woodstock Navy Vet hockey jersey, which will be hung in the Navy Blueline Corner. This is a popular, high-traffic area where fans gather for beverages during the game. Following the season, you will receive this jersey to hang in your establishment. [All jerseys will bear the number 50 in commemoration of the 50 th anniversary] Event Sponsorships The package cost and details to be determined as they depend on the event. Sponsorship s must be purchased 30 days prior to event so that marketing materials can be prepared. Apparel Sponsorship For the cost of a team track suit or jacket, your company s logo will be placed on the back of all jackets. Players will wear this attire in the community, advertising your company when they do. This will advertise your company name for years.
