3 EXECUTIVE STATEMENT Dear Local Business Owner: I am writing to you on behalf of the Woodstock Navy Vets Hockey Club. Being an Executive Board Member, we are starting our fundraising drive for the upcoming 2012/2013 season. We are a non profit community organization, in its 45 th year of operation in the City of Woodstock, as I am sure you are aware it s getting harder to raise funds in these economic times. Being a community team, our future depends on the support of our sponsors, fans and volunteers. That is why, at this time, I am contacting you. We are looking for sponsors and hope we can count on you. If you are interested, there are many sponsorship options available within this package. 4 HISTORY OF THE WOODSTOCK NAVY VETS 1967: In The Beginning To begin, we wish to allow the words of Ron Johnson tell the story of this historic franchise earliest moments. The following is a excerpt from his book, entitled, Go Vets Go: A History of the Woodstock Navy Vets Hockey Club. 1969: The Championship Season The Navy Vets won their only OHA Junior C Championship in the season, eliminating Dresden 4 games-to-0 in the quarter-final and New Hamburg 4 games-to-1 in the semi-final before beating Oakville Blades in 7 games in the final. 1978: Future NHL Star The Navy Vets roster for included a star rookie who would only play this one season with the Vets before moving on to higher levels and eventually a very successful NHL career... Bernie Nichols. Clarence Schmalz Cup Appearances 1969: Woodstock Navy-Vets defeated Oakville Blades 4-games-to : Penetang Kings defeated Woodstock Navy-Vets 4-games-to-none OHA Semi-Finals Appearances 1981: lost to Essex 73`s 1988: lost to Mooretown Flags 1995: Belle River Canadians defeated Woodstock Navy-Vets 4-games-to-none 2002: Essex 73`s defeated Woodstock Navy-Vets 4-games-to-none George S. Dudley Trophy Super "C" Appearances This trophy was awarded during the 1970s to a new class of junior hockey known as Super "C". The teams that competed were deemed to be from centres too small for Junior "B" but yet too big for Junior "C". The cities that competed for it: Barrie (MOJBHL), Woodstock (ICJCHL & CJCHL), Kitchener (CJBHL & WOJHL), Owen Sound (CJCHL), and Brantford (CJCHL); struggled throughout that decade to find Junior "B" leagues that suited their needs. While waiting, these teams generally played "down" in the Junior "C" level and awaited the Super "C" playoffs. The class was disbanded by 1976 as the only teams eligible for the championship had found homes in Junior "B".

More Info 1972: no championship playoff 1973: Woodstock Navy-Vets defeated Kitchener Ranger B's 4-games-to-3 with 1 tie 1974: Woodstock Navy-Vets defeated Owen Sound Salvagemen 4-games-to-none 1975: Woodstock Navy-Vets defeated Owen Sound Salvagemen 3-games-to-none 1976: Woodstock Navy-Vets defeated Brantford Penguins 4-games-to-none The Woodstock franchise under new ownership changed from it's traditional Navy-Vets moniker & logo and ended it's 41-year relationship with the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association at their 2007 awards banquet. The Woodstock Renegades played their first game under a new name to begin a new era in team history in September of the season The Woodstock franchise returned to its roots for the season becoming the Navy Vets once again, and back to the original logo and colors.

9 Full Jersey Sponsorship This $ sponsorship will place your company s logo on every jersey within the set or either home or away. For maximum exposure this package is, without a doubt, the most prime piece of real estate available. Single Jersey Sponsorship This $ sponsorship will place your company s logo on a single players home and away jersey. This opportunity is a fantastic way to attain weekly exposure in Woodstock as well as surrounding areas. For example: Norwich, Simcoe, Paris, New Hamburg, Aylmer, and Tavistock are among the teams played on a weekly basis throughout the year and provide a great opportunity for expanding your business ventures.

10 Special Jersey Sponsorship A large part of the Woodstock Navy Vets community involvement takes place in the form of our special jerseys. The 2011/2012 Season brought both Breast Cancer Awareness Jerseys and Remembrance Day Jerseys. In both cases, as will continue, the jerseys were auctioned off, with proceeds going to the charity in which the jersey represents. This program hinges upon the need for community sponsorship. This $1500 sponsorship places your company s name on the entire set of jerseys for 3 years, at which time they will be auctioned off. What makes this sponsorship opportunity truly great is that not only do your jerseys get worn in recognition of their cause for three years, for example Breast Cancer Awareness Jerseys are worn in warm- up throughout Breast Cancer Awareness month and for the entirety of one game, but they are also sold to fans, whom in turn return to games harboring your companies logo for years to come. Not to mention the great satisfaction and community recognition for giving in support of a fantastic cause. It is our goal to continue to introduce new causes on a yearly basis. 12 Gas Sponsorship Gas sponsorships are available in different levels and go directly to traveling and out of town or at school players via gas cards. In return for your company s sponsorship, your company s logo will appear in our program, at our home games and on our web site on our gas sponsorship page. Gas sponsorship recognition is available in the following manner: Gold Gas Sponsor For a minimum of $ your company will be placed among our Gold Gas Sponsors and will be recognized at the beginning of our home games. Program allocation will represent ¼ of a page. Silver Gas Sponsor For a minimum of $ your company will be placed among our Silver Gas Sponsors list on our web site, in our program and at our home games. Program allocation will represent 1/8 of a page. Bronze Gas Sponsor For a minimum of $ your company will be places among our Bronze Gas Sponsors List on our web site, in our program and at our home games. Program allocation will represent 1/16 of a page.

13 Game Night Sponsorship An $ sponsorship allows your company to run marketing and promotions programs at your Navy Vets Home Game. Feel free to hang posters, giveaway products, perform surveys, etc. Busing Sponsor A $5, sponsorship will make you the Woodstock Navy Vets Busing Sponsor. In return for this sponsorship, you will receive a full- page advertisement in our program as well as home game recognition and an online mention every road game. Puck Sponsorship This $1, sponsorship per 500 pucks places your company s logo on one side of the puck adjacent to our Navy Vets Logo. In addition to having your advertisement on the official game pucks that go out of play, we will also provide a special mention to your company whenever a puck leaves the ice surface. Equipment Sponsorship Helmet Sponsorship A $ sponsorship will get your company s logo placed on all Navy Vets players helmets. The sponsorship will ensure a great amount of exposure both in Woodstock and on the road. Pant Sponsorship A $ sponsorship will get your company s logo placed on all Navy Vets Players pants. The sponsorship will, like the helmet sponsorship, ensure a great amount of exposure both in Woodstock and at road games.

14 Stick Sponsorship Stick sponsorships are available in the following format: Gold Stick Sponsorship: For a minimum $ you can be a Gold Stick Sponsor. In return for Gold Stick Sponsorship, your company will receive recognition on our web site, in our program and at our Home Games. Additionally, your company will be mentioned in the event of a Navy Vets Players stick breaking during the game. Program allocation will represent ¼ page. Silver Stick Sponsorship: For a minimum $ you can be a Silver Stick Sponsor. In return, your company will receive recognition on our web site, in our program and at our Home Games. Program allocation will represent 1/8 page. Bronze Stick Sponsorship: For a minimum $ you can be a Bronze Stick Sponsor. In return, your company will receive recognition on our web site, in our program and at our Home Games. Program allocation will represent 1/16 page.

15 Glove Sponsorship Glove sponsorships are available in the following format: Gold Glove Sponsorship: For a minimum $ you can be a Gold Glove Sponsor. In return for Gold Sponsorship, your company will receive recognition on our web site, in our program and at our Home Games. Program allocation will represent ¼ page. Silver Glove Sponsorship: For a minimum $ you can be a Silver Glove Sponsor. In return, your company will receive recognition on our web site, in our program and at our Home Games. Program allocation will represent 1/8 page. Bronze Glove Sponsorship: For a minimum $ you can be a Bronze Glove Sponsor. 16 Apparel Sponsorship For the entire or a split price, if a second sponsor can be found, of a team set of track suites or jackets, your company s logo will be placed on the back of all. Player will then wear clothing that harbors your company s logo around not only Woodstock, but also wherever they live, go to school, work or choose to travel for the clothing s lifetime. Marketing Sponsorship City Sign Sponsorship For the price of the construction and maintenance of a small city sign that will display details regarding the teams next home game. In return, the back of the sign will harbor your company s logo. Paper and Printing Sponsorship In exchange for payment on paper and printing services, to be used for posters and other marketing materials around Woodstock, your company s logo will be placed upon all marketing materials.
