Dear KPHA members and friends, I expect everyone is busy with calving season. I m sure some great Polled Hereford calves are making their way into this world. The Kansas Polled Hereford Association (KPHA) board met Feb. 12 in Salina. We had a lot to discuss, but our sole purpose was to take steps to regain the strength of the KPHA. As a board, we want to re-energize the membership and have everyone s participation. We are requesting your help. In this issue you ll find a survey to give the board direction and ideas for the future. Please take time to fill it out and mail or FAX it back to us. We want to regain the strength that we once had as an association, but it s going to take all of us working together to achieve that success. We hope you are all excited about this decision. Your participation is needed in all the events we have planned for Just by word of mouth to your friends and neighbors or by bringing them with you to KPHA events, these are big steps in the growth of our organization. We welcome any suggestions or advice to any board member. As a group we want to make this happen. Thank you, Brian Staab, KPHA President vjspolledherefords@yahoo.com Any claims or statements of the writers or advertisers in the Kansas Polled Herefords on the Prairie represent their own opinions and are not necessarily those of the editor, officers, directors and/or members of the KPHA.
