2 Welcome... Welcome to our 11th Annual Bull Sale! I hope this letter finds you all in good health and having a good calving season or else a nice break before the start of one. We had a great start to ours with both our new Charolais and our new Red Angus heifer bulls delivering what we had hoped for. Unassisted calves. The red bulls are our best pen to date. From top to bottom they show tons of muscle and shape. We have never had this many calving ease bulls with this much growth in them. The black bulls are a good group in their own right. Deep, thick calves out of our 66 Ranch sire, and length and style out of our herd sires. The Charolais bulls are a again a little greener than they ought to be, but the good ones have risen to the top, and I think they ll impress come sale day. If some of your cows are black, but do have the red gene, then you have a 25% chance of getting a red calf. If you breed a black red gene carrier to red cows then you have a 50% chance of getting red calves. If you breed a red bull, with black in its pedigree to red cows, they will always be red calves.
