There is a $50 per head rebate on bulls taken home on sale day. Any animals left for delivery will be delivered from the yards the day after the sale, or returned to the Seller s ranch to be delivered at a later date in accordance with the Seller, or picked up by the Buyer in accordance with the Seller. There will be no free delivery on heifers, arrangements need to be made or they will be delivered at cost. 3 Welcome to Bowles J5 Red Angus 2016 Annual Production Sale at Glasgow, MT Preamble Ramble introduction to the Cattle Log and our Program We hope everything is going well on all of your ranches and various operations. We are very excited about the cattle we have to offer this year. They are very consistent in their quality through the entire group and are as thick and long of a set of bulls as we have ever raised. As always we are very critical of our cattle to make sure that we offer you the best animals we possibly can. That means they are structurally sound, thick and long with good dispositions, to make them easy to deal with, easy to live with, and very easy to look at. On the disposition front. Nobody should ever get hurt by the animals that we care for, and we would never offer anything for sale that we felt would endanger anyone. However a certain amount of Get-up-and-Go is necessary for mama and her calf s success. Some of these bulls will have a little more Get-up-and-Go than others. If they were mean they would not still be a bull on this place. We cull hard for being not run over, or kicked, either while trying to help a mother out, weigh and tag, or work em thru the chute. Our bulls have been easy to work with and be around. The ideal disposition for your program may not be the same as the person next to you, but mothering ability and calf vigor is what gets the whole works started, no matter your program. That and the ability to calve unassisted. We feel that you will not find better cattle anywhere for these traits. Whatever your operation s needs we should have a number of bulls to fit any criteria that you are looking for, except for being black. These ones are all Red Angus, which is a lot like Black Angus, just Better hmmm. I mean Redder Freudian slip! As always we feed and take care of our bulls and replacement heifers on our ranch located between Chinook and Harlem Montana on the Milk River. This situation gives us the opportunity to truly know the individuals that we are raising. We also get to make sure that they are completely sound so that we can offer for sale only the best. For most of us our cattle need to be able to utilize grass as their main feed source. We feel that keeping them used to this diet is the best way for them to stay in the herd for the long haul. While still getting the bulls to a point of maturity to find their true genetic potential. All sale animals will be in the proper condition to go straight to work, without having to watch them melt away trying to make a living on native pasture. As a family we would like to thank you for your interest in our program and hope that your lives continue to be as blessed as ours. 35 TERMS & CONDITIONS TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash. All settlements will be made with the clerks of the sale immediately following the conclusion of the sale and before any cattle will be released. BIDDING DISPUTES: The auctioneer in charge will settle any disputes as to bids, and his decision on such matters shall be final. PURCHASER S RISK: Each animal will become the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Any animals left in the care of the Seller after the sale shall be reasonably cared for and Buyer will be advised of any health issues that should arise while in the Seller s care. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Changes of information contained in this catalog relating to animals offered for sale will be announced from the auction box and such announcements shall take precedence over printed material. REGISTN CERTIFICATES: A certificate of registry and transfer will be furnished on all registered cattle, at the Buyer s request and after settlement has been made. Certificated will specify exact percentage of Red Angus blood as is applicable. Please be sure to inform the clerk at the time of settlement how you would like the papers transferred. IDENTIFICATION: Each registered animal carries a readable tattoo. BREEDING GUARANTEED: All bulls are guaranteed to be breeders and have passed a fertility and soundness exam. All heifers are guaranteed open. Any claims for refund of adjustment must be made in writing within six months of the sale date. In the event a bull is claimed to be a non-breeder, the purchaser may return the bull to the ranch of the Seller, if in good condition and complying with the health requirements of the Seller s state. The Seller will be entitled to six months trial, following the return of the animal, in which to prove that the bull is a breeder. The Seller will be obligated to offer a suitable and comparable replacement, credit towards the purchase of another bull, or refund of the purchase price less any salvage value received by Buyer. Such replacement, credit, or refund shall in any case be deemed full satisfaction and settlement. If the Seller proves the bull to be a breeder, it shall be the obligation of the Buyer to take delivery of the animal at the Buyer s expense. LIABILITY: Neither owners, sale managers, clerks nor anyone connected with the sale assumes responsibility, legal or otherwise, for damage of any kind. RETAINED INTEREST: Seller reserves the right to keep a breeding interest in any bull so designated in the catalog or during the auction. In the event Seller elects to collect semen from a designated bull, it will be done at Seller s expense and during such time when purchaser is not using the bull for breeding. IMPLIED WARRANTY: Except for those stated in the terms and conditions, there are no warranties, either expressed or implied, as to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with the respect to the cattle being sold in this auction. The warranties set forth in the terms and conditions are in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied, and the remedies provided therein shall be the sole and exclusive remedy of the Buyer, or any party claiming through the Buyer, for any breach of warranty or guarantee therein provided and all other obligations or liabilities.
